This is a Jesuit University since 1878 . It has a beautiful campus with many medical and health faculties. Most buildings are historic and classic . A few buildings are new and modern . I love the business administration building ( Mike & Josie Harper Center ) with many new features and designs . I also love the V.J. & Angela Skutt student center . The interior architecture is beautiful. Many corners to study or have a meeting . One level is the hot food restaurants ( Asian and Mexican) and Starbucks . People are very friendly , good manner and respectful. The students have room for self discovery and growth. Like the mottos they craved on the sculpture " Ite Inflammate Omnia" ; " Set The World on Fire " . Go ! Blue Jays ! read more

I was a little surprised that the renovation a few years ago also got a revamp on the restaurants within. It was definitely needed. The firehouse subs is a refreshing change from some of the other closer food options around campus. I've been very pleased with the quality of sandwich's that have come from this place. The workers have also been very kind and made sure to take orders and hand over food with a smile. It was just what I needed between busy classes! read more

I attended Creighton University for professional school and I absolutely loved it. The location is definitely different than what I grew up with, but it was good to really experience all four seasons. Creighton University is big enough that it has just about anything you could want in a school including undergraduate, graduate school, and all the professional schools, but small enough to get all the personal attention that you would need. I really felt that I got a quality education here, and my professors really cared about my education. For those of you who don't know where Creighton is located, it's located in Nebraska. Once you get over the initial freezing your okole off, it really grows on you!! I have really fond memories thinking about my experience here, and I hope my children someday will be able to experience it as well, Go Blue Jays! read more

Beautiful campus! It reminded me a bit of my old college campus with its trees and vegetation. I took a mini course at their med school for 3 days and had a whirlwind of an experience at this university. The course was excellent, taught by their excellent professor and guest professors. We didn't really get to tour the place much aside from the building our course was held in and the University/student center where we had one of our lunches. There is also a building across the University with which an overpass bridge was built for pedestrian use that had a restaurant and apparently apartments for students. As it was very gloomy and rainy while we were there. I'm sad to report that I didn't get to walk around much and explore. The student center did have your essentials such as a cafeteria with a few variety of options for meals and a Starbucks for your caffeine needs. The cafeteria check-out line was quite a nightmare. We were sent to lunch around noon, placed our orders and then stood on the line for 20 minutes to pay. Then all their credit card machines decided not to work so, there's that additional 5 minutes or so. Aside from that mishap and the uncooperative weather, it is a beautiful campus and the staff were very nice and friendly. I felt very welcomed! read more

Claims to be military friendly but was far from it. poorly organized on the VA end. The VA help center there was rude and didn't use updated information on benefits. Admissions made false promises of my benefits. When dealing with this issue they pushed me aside to figure it all out on my own which left me in debt. Military members stay away! read more

Very nice campus for being in the city. Buildings are all very nice and updated. Campus is kept very clean and staff all seemed very nice.

It's a little weird to review a university on Yelp (there are many more legit sources to look into your college career with people...) but I will say the campus is beautiful, the people are welcoming, and they are expanding to become bigger and better than ever. I spent my undergrad years here and couldn't have had a better experience. I enjoyed 4 years of growth-mentally, spiritually, and got to have my "college experience" at the same time. It will always hold a special place in my heart. As I've now been away for a good number of years (eek reunion right around the corner!!) I still like to come and visit the campus when I can. Whatever your opinion of their classwork, Creighton itself does not care about your student at all. They want their money, could care less whether it is their error, and will do nothing to help. They will 100% hold your child's education hostage rather than resolve an issue. A billing error had our daughter double billed for her second semester. Despite showing documentation that this was their error, and the business office acknowledging it is their error, they would neither allow our daughter to register for her next semester nor would they release transcripts (or allow / provide unofficial transcripts) so she could attend elsewhere. The insist on getting the $9k from us that they are not owed, will not correct their issue in a timely manner, and our daughter is paying for it. read more

My son is a Sophomore here is very happy! He is a business analytics and Marketing major in the Heider College of Business. His first year there he was able to garner an internship which he loved. He lived in Gallagher Hall where he made some amazing friends. He went through recruitment and pledged a great fraternity. This past fall he was able to study in Rome via Creighton's study abroad program. This was such a wonderful experience for him and I am glad he went. Because their students generally study abroad fall semester these classes count towards the GE credits. What a great experience to have while fulfilling GE credits. My son is back at Creighton this spring and he's happy to be back with some of his closet friends. Honestly, I believe that this close knit community of learners is just what our son needed too thrive! read more

I know my friends that go to Creighton will eventually look up the school on Yelp, see this review and then give me shit for it later. That's fine. Because I'm the one who left anyway, and they're the ones who are stuck there. (AKA: I stopped complaining and did something about it, and they're still there... Sorry I'm not sorry.) I write this review with mixed feelings, though for me to be generous about Creighton is kind of odd... Considering that during my last year there before I transferred out, I did manage to yell at every tour group, "Get out while you still can!" or "This place sucks!" etc, etc. I will also say that this school is perfect for some people. I'm just not one of those people, which is why I'm NOT here anymore. For what it's worth, I met a lot of people at Creighton that I genuinely love to death and are still my best friends to this day. When people tell you the friends you make in college are the ones who will stay with you throughout your life-- they are right. I love them to death, and I couldn't have asked for it any other way. The only reason I'm actually giving it three stars is because how tight-knit the community is, especially in a dorm like Gallagher Hall. I guess it's because Gallagher was such a little craphole that we all bonded over the fact that we lived in such a nasty place. The things that happened in Gallagher, I cannot even begin to describe. But since this IS a Yelp Review, I might as well do it: 1) Dead snakes. Oh, and apparently live snakes the year after. Woooo! 2) Constantly broken/running showers with weird water pressure. (Though, Gallagher is the oldest dorm on campus/hasn't been renovated in years. Get over it?) 3) Mice. Mice everywhere. My friends had a huge mouse problem in their room. 4) Mold. Yuck. 5) Broken things constantly bleh. I mean, that's just what happened in Gallagher. But I hear they're renovating it now because it's such a ~historical landmark~ to the Creighton community. Awesome. Okay, moving on... Administration here is kind of a joke. The bureaucracy of the entire establishment is frustrating. Too much paperwork and running around. They really need to update the system, and use a system that will allow for a 'wait list,' because having to override everyone in is a pain in the derriere. Classes are EXTREMELY difficult to get into without having to beg teachers, and they will shut off the override if you don't ask before a certain time. (Tip: Especially if you're in the Psychology department, ask for an override while the seniors are registering.) Basically, I got lucky because I was driven and crazy enough to watch the classes like a damn hawk. Teachers are hit or miss, depending on the department. However, the majority of them are experts in their field. And for that, I give Creighton a +1. As a Psychology major, my department was actually... pretty amazing. Excellent professors who I actually learned from and are challenging! I sometimes scratched my head and wondered why they were stuck here at Creighton but hey! To each his/her own. There are some departments here that are just too large (cough, Psychology and Sciences) that have an amazing staff and program-- but there are not enough resources to house and accomodate the students correctly. They need to either hire more staff and open more classes and make more sections, or they need to allow a higher cap for classes and open them up to more people. Also, the core here sucks. If you want to finish in four years here, and be able to add on a minor or another major-- good luck. The core is unnecessarily extensive, and doesn't allow for much diversity. Most Jesuit schools have pretty lengthy cores, but Creighton's idea of the core kind of beats it into you. I mostly had a problem with the religion core-- they either need to offer more diversity with their religious core (other Jesuit schools with this requirement offer classes on Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) or they need to cut the core for this in half. I could say other things about the school, like the lack of diversity (don't let them fool you, diversity here mostly comes from the fact that a majority of their students come from Hawaii), and the types of people that come here. But it doesn't really have to do with the actual school itself, so I won't mention those things. TL;DR: Visit the school before you attend. It's worth it if you're into pre-professional careers and know you have the grades for it. Other than that, it's a pretty good school with the usual flaws, but it wasn't for me. The end. read more

One of the most corrupt places I've seen in awhile. They genuinely do not care about their students. When I asked about my financial aid award they straight up told me what I pay to go to college isn't their responsibility. The guy told me that it wasn't Creighton's responsibility or the federal governments responsibility that I even go to college. I wouldn't recommend this college to anyone.
