Now I am not a fan of this bean in the slightest. However, I have to say that it was made that well, slightly burnt and 'dirty' after taste. I had two cups here and both were the same. The food here was good though. The Veggie breakfast was quite delicious. The only problem was that the Avo was not close to being ripe, for me and my friend. But other than that the plate was big and quite good. I think the best thing about this place is the people working here. They are extremely friendly and very attentive. We were warned that there would be a wait for the kitchen was busy, and even though we decided to wait, we were given free coffee to help us wait. So a serious plus for the staff there.

As far as my memory goes, the best combo of ingredients I've ever seen on a pizza, what a brillant idea, loved it! No wonder when I brought him home to share with the friend I was staying with she told me not only this was the pizza place she was going to, but that this shoreline pizza actually was her favorite, not just a crazy coincidence I believe, but another proof of their good work! Their pizza crust is delicious, one of the best I've had from pizza places of this kind. They are a bit on the expensive side when compared to Domino's or Pizza Hut, but in the same range as Crust Pizza and tastes better too! Crust used to be my favourite in our area but they have now been topped by Secret Slice. They also offer pasta dishes, salads and dessert, and they have a nice and cosy eat in area for casual dinners with family or friends. They are open 7 days a week but only for dinner.

My tour group ended up at a large table with a ton of chairs digging into our meat pies. I shared a beef one with another person on my tour and let me tell you... The beef meat pies prepared by The Pie Tin are AMAZING! The crust was flaky and seemed buttery, and the beef innards were tender and well seasoned. I inhaled it so quickly I didn't take a pic. My partner and I went here for my birthday and the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in a Cappadocian cave hostel. If you've been to Turkey, you know how comforting being offered a "special deal" can be. Hi, the Cafe Manager charged me $150 extra on my coffee order. I went in after music class with my…read moremother and my two year old daughter. I called them and gave them the benefit of the doubt it was a genuine error. They asked me to physically come back to the store for the refund. I've never been treated so poorly but a cafe or any business. They made me wait, and said they were too busy to deal with my request. I had to articulate (loudly) that I'm waiting on their error. They then blamed me three times for telling them the wrong date and amount and they can't confirm. Once the charge was found they refused to refund the money because they couldn't confirm it was me. The Cafe Manager was rude, defensive and aggressive. I left upset and embarrassed by the whole scenario. They have no email to communicate. I will have to escalate to the Ombudsman, because they've my money and refused to refund. I'm most upset because they've ruined my Saturday mornings where I go to music class with my little girl and we have a babyccino and coffee after.

The restaurant is very busy so it's best to know what you want when getting to the order counter. We tried the Classic Beef pie and one that had beer, beef and mash. Both were actually quite tasty. We tried them with and without sauce (sauce is on the side). I liked the sauce - not a ketchup (or tomato sauce as the Aussies call it) but close to it - my wife did not. The pies were quite flavorful and tasty and we were pleased both the the quality and the speed of service.
