I loved how the woman threaded them but it's so pricy.. For me, over 10$ for eyebrows is over exaggeration especially if it's threading! Wax I can understand.. But threading, come on, the only tool you use is a thread! Few weeks later I had my hair cut done and I was absolutely not satisfied with it at all.. Kept telling the man that I'm not happy and he responds by telling me, you have no idea how nice it is don't worry. It was to short, it wasn't even what I asked for. It's like he felt that his opinion was better. Even though I was 17 at that time, I wasn't clueless. Later that year, I had booked my prom make up and hair to do over there. Don't ask me why, my mom had told me that she knew someone much better then the ones I had met the previous time. By the way, I didn't even get a hair tryout and the worst part is neither hairstylist not makeup artist knew what I wanted. First, make up, I told the lady I wanted this and that, she told me not to worry she has it under control and I'll look beautiful. All her brushes looked dirty. Her makeup was so unorganized. It was sad.. As she was putting sparkles all over my face I told her that's not what I wanted.. She responds: are you kidding, this is Asian makeup, you look beautiful don't worry.. Once again, my request wasn't respected. For my hair, I explained the lady that my hair tends to be very puffy and grumpy and she tells me don't worry I know what to do, so I let her and as I got home my hair was all puffy and the hair due was falling apart. I don't understand, my requests weren't even complicated. Overall, the place is clean, they do have a coffee machine but multiple times when I was there, there were no cups. Very disappointing. Oh and the hair and makeup cost me 300$ because the Asian makeup (which she used cheap and dirty make up and brushes) is a type of bridal make up I think and it's very expensive.. I hated my prom because of how I looked. Sincerely, I don't recommend.

At First Choice haircutters? Usually people go there cause their prices are cheaper than other hair salons, they have always been cheaper and proud of it. Now the lady said their prices have gone up, So i went with a trim and roots and was charges $112, this was ridiculous, I will never go back and will tell everyone I know that this place and especially a certain lady was very rude! Ashley had done a great job with my daughters hair to just cleaned up the ends, as I requested (both myself & daughter were happy with her work). Anastasia did my sons hair. I asked if at all possible if we could do a fade. I knew it may be a bit of a challenge (my son is not quite yet 4 & usually pretty squirmy in the chair) but she was very kind & patient with him & ensured I was happy with her work; he looks so handsome! The cut is nice, if anything, I might return to get more layers, just testing it out. She was nice and slow with me, because she knew how nervous long hair folk get with mighty changes I guess. I booked way in advanced and I was happy I was able to allign this appointment with others in the same day. The only thing I don't like is their product line, since I'm looking for a good shampoo & conditioner, but am having a hard time, since it's my first time going salon quality. I tried looking at the distributors section, but didn't like the ingredients. I noticed that this salon didn't have the same product, but I also don't like the ingredients. I do like how my hair feels after they use it on me, but I'm scared what will happen if I use it myself on a regular basis, and it's just too expensive to experiment with. Montreal is a funny place but I will keep looking for new products, however my caregivers will remain here :)

A big wedding group of us went for my step mom & dads wedding in November and we were in love with our hair, looked great in the pictures. I also go here whenever I'm in Montreal. I will wait to get my hair cut until I get to Montreal (I live in the states but have family here) and I will only get my hair done here.

It was my first visit and she went to great lengths to explained everything that she was going to do and why. She put me at ease and I felt I was in very good hands. I'm so very pleased with the colour and cut. I have very thick and difficult to colour hair but she nailed it first time. She also went the extra mile to make sure the outcome would be perfect. Mylene is seriously talented. Very innovative and thinks outside the box to give you the hair that you really want to have. I look forward to my next visit.
