As I took a look at the charge placed on my credit card, spoke to my daughter she told me she paid the fee, plus 15% tip the remainder was a cancellation/appt. change fee. I've asked the technician of the charges to my credit card, she told me it was cancellation fee from missed appt. So how is it Lash Venue technician receives a tip out, charges a cancellation fee/missed appt. when they are billing out for a future service. Well I wouldn't recommend the place due to the technician's communication prior to payment as I had asked her of the costs "$130.00" during the lash appointment of $130.00 then my credit was billed over $220.00. The location is off the beaten path, Nanaimo & Broadway - my recommendation is try a place such as Noir Lash Lounge, or YUMI Lash Lift pro Paula at 1057 Cambie (check Instagram) as reputable businesses have better policies and are diligent in communication. Don't waste your money here. We work hard for our money - so if the technician communicates $130.00 you should pay that amount only. Perhaps management and the technician should be more upfront - with the communicated fees occur. Poor management and unfair communication via the lash technician will evidently leave this type of response, included policies are not posted to the website - a reputable business won't book appointment by text.

I have to pencil them in everyday once again . I was never given my touch up which was included in the price. Recently I had the Vasculyse treatment to get rid of some sun damage and broken capillaries, she took care of everything in one appointment. It was definitely a lot cheaper than the $600 face cream I purchased from the dermatologist a few months ago - which gave me no results at all. My skin is now smoother and more even toned (no spots or red veins). I'm very happy with my skin now. The reason I'm writing a review is because Wink Fairie deserves to be on Yelp. This is not just for the benefit of the business owner but for Yelpers who are looking for good quality, good craftsmanship and budget friendly eyelash extensions service. Mel, the owner and eyelash technician, is very sweet. She does her service in her own house at the moment but will soon be opening her own studio soon. Before she starts working on your eyes she would make sure she knows what your expectations are. She showed me these sketches of different eyelash length, curl and the different styles of eyelashes which would make your eyes look bigger or wider depending on your preference. For the type of eyes that I have, I chose cat eye style (lashes that are shorter on the inside corner of the eye and gets longer towards the outer corner). She did agree with my decision. She said the doll like eyes (lashes are shorter on the inside and outer corners and grows longer towards the middle of the eyes) are more appropriate for people whose eyes are farther apart. My appointment was for an hour and it took longer than that. It's my fault as I have been asking too many questions which Mel answered willingly. She knows her craft. She has very light hands and made sure I was comfortable and no lashes were poking my eyes. I'm pretty sure that those who got eyelash extensions would know that the dreadded part of the procedure is when you get to open your eyes. If not done properly, the glue can sting your eyes and would make your eyes water. The surprising part was I didnt feel anything. I asked her what type of glue she used because it didnt sting my eyes at all. Mel said that it's not about the glue but it's about the humidity or dryness of the air. It has to be the perfect temperature so the glue won't sting. I didn't know that! I really enjoyed my pampering time with the Wink Fairie. I say give her a try.

She consulted with me regarding what type of look I wanted and she gave me an even better result that I had hoped for. I already have naturally long lashes (blonde though!) and my lashes hitting my glasses was a real problem. MK gave me a full set of lashes that don't brush my glasses and look really great. Of course, when you are having anything done to your eye area, you want the technician to be very gentle. MK's touch was SO light, I could barely feel that she was working on my lashes - I appreciated this very much! I will return to MK Lash, as her service was excellent and the lashes have lasted very well.

It's always a pleasant experience when I visit the shop. The shop has a nice atmosphere and the environment is very clean. They also have a comfortable makeup station that you can touch up your make up after you finish your appointment . The lash glue that the shop uses doesn't irritate my eyes, which I sometimes find that an issue when I did lashes a couple times by other places. The lashes are very light and they last for more than 3 weeks! Also, Alice did a really good job on the microblading and shading for my eyebrows. I've done twice with her and the results have been great, they actually look really natural when they are just done.
