Update: Just so you understand the type of shady people you are dealing with here at the Sync, my brother (also my roommate) recently received a job offer here in Atlanta, so we decided to stay in the area. The Sync won't renew our lease now, even when we offered to sign for a full year instead of the requested 10 months. They steal packages here and the leasing office says they have no security cameras (I think this is a coordinated theft ring but that's just a theory based on what I experienced). You will DEFINITELY need a doorbell camera if you want to receive packages. Controls around who can get in the building are pretty weak; all sorts of random people in the hallways and I have gotten scared a few times. The building reeks of weed, not just coming from apartments but in common areas like entrances and elevators. There are nice amenities here if you are into communal amenities. The gym looked usable and the pool looked nice (never used them though). The renovated apartments are nice but the walk-in closet is small (if you are into clothes and shoes like I am, you will suffer and your quality of life will be diminished). Beware of what they call a 1brm; it's really a junior 1 bedroom because the room doesn't have a true door ... just a sliding wood thingy that doesn't provide much privacy. If you think you can have a guest on your couch and partake in adult bedroom activity, think again; it's just not going to happen. Food options are slim if you are the type that wants to walk to get dinner. There's stuff about 7mins drive away on Howell Mill Rd but you gotta drive. Overall, it's ok. I am not booking staycations in my apartment but I am not fleeing for the hills. read more

I won't go on about how many times the gate to the parking has been broken or the security door to the building didn't work more months of my lease than it did function. It's 1230 am. Why am I writing this now? Well because the security patrol cannot come here. She's on a work call. That's what she's told me. If the leasing staff shows you building 300 tell them you want to stop by u it 3204. I still live there and I'll share woth you'll all the issues in person. We have a new manager of the community who has yet to even say hello or address the issues here. My floor has as manny vacant u it's as it has occupied. You have to ask yourself why? My fiancé and I have lived in the same apartment for the past 2 years and while our experience hasn't been perfect, it has been good. Our most recent encounter, which encouraged me to write this review, was during our time of the home buying process. Our original plan was to move out in October 2019, but of course plans don't always work out the way you envision. Ultimately, we had to speak with their management on numerous occasions to address extending our lease. Needless to say, working with Dwayne was sooo helpful! He worked with us, PATIENTLY, and offered available options. I couldn't be more appreciative of Dwayne's assistance, and most notably, his patience, during this already stressful process. In addition to the support, they do strive to make this community a better place. If I weren't purchasing a home, I would honestly extend my lease for a 3rd year! read more

I can honestly say since we had new management starting in May 2021 this place have done a complete 360. The place is cleaner and apparently all the airbnb in the complex has been eliminated. The staff is professional and informative. Anything I needed from maintenance they was right on it. I love my place and glad sync brought someone in that actually cares. Pros: *If you want that industrial feel, living in the center of it all, at an affordable rate than Elysian at Collier is the place to retreat after a long day or night. *Maintenance is readily available, staff is generally friendly and willing to go above and beyond and it doesn't feel so much as an apartment complex as it does provide that dorm feel, making it, in my opinion, feel way homier. * Previous property manager had allowed any and all to move into the complex, which in turn brought in the good, the bad and by appearance of the building (despite maintenance efforts), was looking ugly. Current property manager cleaned up in more ways than one. :) Cons: *This is surrounded by industrial companies and/or film studios. We share the space with Film Works and they are active and loud, 24/7. So, if you have children or require quiet time, all the time than this may not be the best place for you. * Parking: weekends are when others allow non-residents into the lot, leaving residents at a disadvantage. *Turnaround in Management is on the same level as retail. Always constant, never consistent with their SOP's. Overall & for the cost, it is a decent place to live at a very competitive rate. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. You have to pay for your own guest parking where you live and pay rent. They put boots on your car if you are parked pretty much anywhere, even if you are a resident or not. Apt is molded, gnats literally everywhere, and you pay for trash pick up and they barely pick up the trash. Dogs barking throughout the night/day. And for water and sewer you have to pay for everyone else basically bc the add everyones bills up and divide them! Like make it make sense. I hate it here. read more

I recently visited Collier Lofts. Unfortunately, I must second the opinion expressed by Jeslin H below. Whatever opinion I might have on the lofts themselves are completely subsumed by the aloof, abysmal customer service offered by the property manager Chante. Just to be clear - I do not live in Collier Lofts, nor will I ever. I visited Collier Lofts on Wednesday, July 29th with my girlfriend. We were interested in a loft-style building with modern amenities. Collier Lofts looked like it might be the kind of place we envisioned. We parked and stepped inside. The manager, Chante, emerged from her office and snapped "Can I help you with something What are you wanting?" We told her we wanted to view a two-bedroom unit. She walked to a smart board and immediately began pulling up floor plans. We were not offered a seat, drink or even a handshake. It was clear from Chante's attitude that we were somehow bothering her. I'm not sure why since it was the middle of the week and there were no other people needing any help. From the look of her office computer, Pinterest was occupying her mind. If the property manager of a building is the lone point of contact in a leasing office, sales and customer service are part of the job. Chante failed to meet even the most rudimentary standards of courtesy. If she is this bad when she's selling you a unit, I cannot even imagine her attitude once you have signed a lease. We were given what I can only term as a perfunctory tour of the model unit. Chante made no effort to explain the unit's amenities. We asked almost a dozen questions that any capable leasing agent would have anticipated. After about five minutes of watching Chante stand with her arms folded near the door, we were led back to the leasing office. We walked right past a beautiful pool and great room with billiards and shuffleboard. What did Chante say to make us aware of these features? Nothing. She walked back to her office in stone silence. We were left to contemplate what other features might or might not be hiding in the community. When you are looking to pay upwards of $2,000 once a month on a place to live, you deserve to be treated with respect and attention. Chante was aloof and completely disinterested in her job. In turn, we were completely disinterested in Collier Lofts and would encourage others to look elsewhere. If you're going to pay that much, you deserve better than Chante. read more

So where do I begin. Everything was good when I originally moved in about a year ago and lately there's been noisy neighbors that we have reported on numerous occasions. Management says they'll handle it, so either they're not or the tenant doesn't seem to care. I should not feel your music vibrating under my feet. Another recent issue is the amount of break-ins and neighbors yelling outside at night on the bridge. (Side note management responding to these reviews is just for appearance; nothing will be done. I wish I could leave a zero rating. Please, please, please hear me when I say DO NOT MOVE HERE. I am not sure what complex the other reviewers are living in but it is not Collier Lofts. To begin my rent has been wrong for the past year and half. The management added payment on bill and refused to take it off. After I had been paying the same rate for a year and half...Threatened eviction if I did not pay. My bill went up almost $100 right after I renewed because of this... They refuse to do anything about it. So right after I sign a year re-lease they hit me with that. THEY PURPOSELY LIED TO ME ABOUT HOW MUCH I WAS GOING TO BE PAYING AND RAISED THE PRICE AFTER THEY GOT ME TO SIGN THE RENEWAL. In addition, the management lied about the completion of the property when I first moved here. I moved here a year and a half ago and the property still isn't complete. I park my Mercedes on gravel most days because they didn't finish paving the lot. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO PAY A LAWYER TO GET OUT. read more

Overall the property was nice. Very minor issues with key fobs to buildings not working. VERY dog friendly which sometimes resulted in dog urine and feces in the hall from owners not picking up after their pet. Definitely getting the most bang for your buck! read more

I do not live here but would never consider it after the experience I had today with the property manager, Chante. We were actually really excited about seeing these lofts. They are super close to where we both work, new, and in our price range. Our first attempt, even after scheduling an appointment, was unsuccessful. We showed up at 10 am (for an appointment) on a Saturday. The leasing agent did not show up until 10:20am to open the office. He was very apologetic and let us know that it was only him working that day and that he had double booked appointments. He promised to send us a detailed email with pictures and pricing that day (which we did not receive until 2 days later after sending another follow up email). That experience was not so bad. What I appreciated the most was that he was at least apologetic and seemed to genuinely care. Fast forward, we schedule another appointment with him for 12:15 on a Wednesday (6/24). We show up to see the sign on the door stating that they would return at 12:45. So we wait. Mind you it's 90 degrees outside and this place does not have a waiting area. We finally see what looks like a potential resident leaving the leasing office so we proceed to get back out of the car and go back to the office. We noticed that the sign now says that they will return at 1pm. I knock on the door and say "helloooo" because we were unable to see whether or not anyone was in there. Mind you, maintenance let us know that "she" (the property manager) was showing someone around and would be back. So we went to the door expecting that someone would be back in the office. After knocking, we finally see that she is in her office on the phone and having lunch. Which is not a problem. According to her, she tries to signal to me that she was on the phone, however, it looks as if shes waving me off. She then picks up the phone (it was on speaker) and proceeds to talk on the phone for the next 15 minutes while we wait outside. At NO point did anyone come outside to at least say "hey, I am in the middle of something right now, can you come back OR that I will be right with you". I even asked her during our visit why the maintenance worker who was sitting in the office as one point couldn't at least come out to greet us and she said "oh well he's just maintenance". Her excuse for not coming out to say SOMETHING was that she was on a conference call. I'm sorry, I guess customer service no longer matters. Once she finally opens the door in an extremely defensive mode, she asks us "what are you looking for". Super pissed at this point, I asked her if that is how she greets all of her customers -- it was very awkward and uncomfortable. After asking her that, she said we were very combative from the beginning. I'm sorry, even though we were not, that is still not the way you treat someone coming to view your community. We tried to explain to her over and over our frustrations and all she kept saying was that we were missing the point and that only one person works most of the time, blah blah blah. I honestly think she has completely missed the point of CUSTOMER SERVICE. So she shows us a one bedroom because she didn't have any two bedrooms to show. She does NOT show us any of the other amenities. When we return to the office, I asked her if there was anything else we needed to see besides the pool because it was the only amenity I could visibly see from the office. She said "Oh well if you have a pet, we have a dog park, and well you've seen the lounge area, etc.". I then said, Actually no, we didn't get to see anything really and I asked her if she even cared if we lived here. At that point it was clear that she felt as if we were "difficult" customers and did not intend to provide us any level of service. She did in the end give us her card and tell us that if we wanted to come back on Friday, that she would make sure we were seen. This was the ONLY time that she seemed to care that this was our second time trying to view the apartments due to failures on their end AND that she left us standing outside in 90 degree weather then proceeded to be rude during the entire visit. I am not the type of person to leave reviews because I could honestly care less. I am never going to live here nor will I ever need to see this lady again. However, I do want to share my story just in case someone was considering moving into these apartments. They look very nice, the building is new, but if living there is anything like the extremely unprofessional, awful property manager, then don't do it! read more

I just recently moved to Atlanta with my job. Been here 2.5 months. I started looking for places as I'm staying with a friend beginning of July. A lot of places that I have called to schedule tours or to get a virtual tour link, either was unprofessional, wasn't knowledgeable of the fees that was being charged that I thought was crazy and high or didn't return my call. Now don't get me wrong there was about 3 places that was professional and friendly but wasn't impressed with the community. My job is in Midtown so I want to live in Midtown. I started using ProMove and he suggested Sync at West Midtown. The initial call was great. Janelle was pleasant, professional and very friendly. I arrived for my tour and liked it immediately. Janelle was very very pleasant and friendly in person. She answered all of my questions without hesitation, especially when it came to wanting to know what the administration fee was for($175) and she explained it in detail. She showed me two units. In one of the units she asked if i wanted something to drink and pointed towards the refrigerator and it was stocked with water, chips, Perrier, different snacks. The Sync was the only property that I toured that engage the residents with activities so residents can mingle. Between Janelle and liking the property it was a good experience for a future resident. I'm not sure how or why some of the reviewers had such an unpleasant experience at Collier Lofts, but I've been a resident since August of 2014 and my experience has been nothing short of positive. I thoroughly researched apartments in West Midtown before I moved in and again before I wrote this review, and none of them come close to what CL offers, especially in terms of quality, location and price. The entire complex is brand new (construction finished in 2015) and having lived in older apartments in the past it's refreshing to finally live in a clean new unit. Of course this means everything in the unit is also new, such as kitchen appliances, carpet and-most importantly for us germaphobes-toilet and tub. Location is another positive factor; CL is literally 10-15 minutes from Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown with grocery stores, restaurants, bars, medical clinics, car repair shops and more conveniently located down the street. Rarely do I venture outside of West Midtown/Midtown because the entire area caters to my various needs. And if I don't feel like driving Nuevo Laredo Cantina, Hankook, Johnny's Pizza, Gymjuice, Cafe on Pharr and a few others are in walking distance of the complex. Now I noticed some of the reviewers complained about price and I'm confused as to what they're comparing it to to support these complaints. I pay $1130 for an A2 unit (1 BR, 1 BA on the fourth floor) which I think is rather reasonable for living on the top floor in a new apartment complex in such a convenient area, but to ensure I'm not missing something I looked into nearby apartment complexes 131 Ponce, 1016 Lofts, M Street and 935M Lofts, which are all new and modern similar to Collier Lofts. The result? They're absurdly more expensive and offer nothing to justify these prices. For example, a 561 square-foot studio unit at M Street costs a few hundred dollars more than my unit at CL, and the only advantage it has over CL is that it's on Marietta Street (for reference, CL is only 5 minutes down the road.) You should expect to pay $1K-$2K/month for an apartment in West Midtown/Midtown and CL is on the lower end of this range, so unless these reviewers are comparing rent to a house they should look further outside of the city where cheaper rent is more expected. I also noticed that some of the reviewers have it out for the management staff. Let me just say that Chante, Michael and Ashley are the most helpful group of people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I used to live in Laurel Hills Preserve in Marietta and dealing with the management staff there was like dealing with inept teenagers, it was absolute hell. Fortunately, the management staff at CL is the complete opposite; they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my service requests and they're always willing to hear my suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the property. For example, due to the recent steady rainfall these past few weeks the dog park flooded and collected mud, which made it nearly impossible to use. Most of the residents complained amongst each other about the situation but not one of them made it known to the staff, so I took it upon myself to inform Michael directly. Three days later straw and stone tiles were laid down to bypass the mud and the dog park was usable once again. I was amazed and impressed with their ability to quickly resolve the problem, and all it required was five minutes of my time. I'm pretty sure those of you complaining have dedicated more time to writing a negative review than actually discussing your complaints directly to the CL staff for them to resolve. If you're considering Collier Lofts please keep in mind that most of these negative reviews were also written when it was still under construction and a majority of the amenities weren't accessible. Everything is now complete and ready for use including the pool, club room and dog park. Not every apartment complex is perfect, but CL is damn near close. It's in a convenient part of town with a great community of young professionals and dog lovers. Plus, it's very affordable for inner-city living and is managed by a fantastic group of people who are polite and helpful. If it truly was as awful as some of these reviewers make it out to be then you would be reading an entirely different review. read more

I've lived here almost a year now. I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from regarding truck noise / train noise, it's pretty obvious that we're on the industrial side of west midtown soooo yeah, there's going to be trucks; thats not really anything the apartment can control, potential residents are responsible for quite simply paying attention and looking at their surroundings, drive by at night perhaps, do some due diligence in researching where you live before you throw blame at an apartment building (no I do not work for the building or in property management at all, just common sense) I live in the 1st building which is technically behind the leasing office; well inside the gates. Residents on my floor and generally in my building are quiet, respectful of evening and morning hours and they're friendly, holding or opening the door for me when I'm carrying something, etc. Only gripe.....people really need to pick up after their dogs in the dog park but you cant expect everyone to be a decent human being. Mgmt is great, anytime I ask for something or put in a maintenance request (which is usually just the track light bulbs needing to be changed) they come the next day. The other really great thing about mgmt is that I've never been hit with hidden fees! The two things that I think need some work would be the elevator in building 1 and Parking: 1. Elevator - its always "being fixed" but if it were truly fixed it wouldn't be out of service so much, its kind of a bandaid solution. 2. Guest Parking - people that live in the building with the leasing office often times park in the front where guests are supposed to park and its frustrating because guests then have no where to park. Residents should get a warning then be towed / ticketed for parking overnight in the guest parking. read more

I was pretty worried about considering to live at the Collier lofts after reading horrible reviews, but something in me figured I'll go see if it was as bad as what I had read. After months of searching for the perfect loft, I was able to narrow my search down into two location, this one (Collier Lofts) and another we won't name. I immediately applied for both location and couldn't decide on which way to go. The customer service was decent at both and both location were ideal for my type of lifestyle. I went to both locations a few times dressed very different to see if I would be treated differently, or even experience the awful customer service as the other reviews had mentioned. So after my third visit to this location I was immediately greeted by Property Manager Ashley Dietzel, who had made my decision very easy with her professionalism, and friendly demeanor. Keep in mind she had no idea that I had already applied for this location. She was willing to sit down and really showcases what's this loft had to offer. We just had a normal conversation, She built Report right away and found out, what was most important to me and asked questions to see what I enjoyed doing ect. The office was pretty busy that Saturday so to get this type of treatment by management was amazing, and let's not forget about the staff, they were on there A game as well. The representative that I had put in my application with was on vacation and Everyone that was in the office on this day seemed to be either new or just not in when I originally applied. However, Every potential tenant and even current tenants were all treated with respect, greeted immediately and helped right a way. Which here in Atlanta at least from my experience has lacked. So after witnessing the customer service and up beat atmosphere I knew this was the one. I would highly recommend the individuals that had written poor reviews to try to revisit this location and prospect tenants to consider, I believe that there has been several changes and possibly new staff since the names that were mentioned in the other reviews are names I have yet to hear or come into contact with thus far since I've lived here now going on my second month. I moved here in November and have been nothing but satisfied with my loft. Great gym and the dog park, even though I don't have one is exceptional and above any other place i've seen or have heard from my friends in other lofts. Although it's not close to shops and entertainment it does offer some nice seclusion and easy access to I-75. Seems the change in property management has greatly improved the relations with the tenants. Ashley and Michael are nothing but helpful in the office. read more

These apts are as beautiful in the picture as they are in real life. The property is clean and the property manger was one of the best I have ever seen. A tall black women with an awesome smile. I'm sorry I forgot your name. She was so sweet, polite, and nice she felt like she was my friend. I wanted this apt sooooo bad but my boyfriend was bent on getting a loft that looked industrial so he didn't want. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! My wife and I decided we wanted to move back to Atlanta from New York back in May of 2017. We looked around and decided on Elysian at Collier. We were approved and made our online deposits and app fees ($400) to secure our new place. Mid June we were told by Danielle that our apartment was "No longer available"??? Weird considering we paid a deposit and even had an apartment number. After this we decided we did not want to live at a location that didn't even respect the agreement we made before even moving in. What other problems might arise if they couldn't even get the first step correct? After telling Danielle that we would not be taking the apartment, we were told that we would get our deposit back within 2 weeks. Today is 9/24/17 and guess what, no deposit refund. That is 4 months without our refund. It gets worse. Mid June is when we started making calls and spoke to the property manager named Steve in hopes of getting our refund. Steve takes down all of our info at least 3 times on three different calls, but you guessed it, no refund. The next time I call back, I'm informed that Steve "no longer works there" which was probably just a lie. After literally and I mean literally 20 more phone calls and conversations, you guessed it, no refund. This place is a joke, and after reading the other bad reviews about this place, I thank GOD that we didn't move in here. Imagine yourself calling to get a refund from anywhere and being told by 3-4 different people for months that your "check has been cut" and walking to your mailbox everyday, just to find nothing. If you like to be hung up on, left on hold for 15mins (just so that you will give up and end the call), or lied to, well I guess this is the place for you. Its just sad and disgusting that a shady apartment complex has stolen my money, lied to me and my wife on multiple occasions and has no remorse for their actions. I thought Tiffany was my one ray of hope, but even she led me on for weeks at a time. Let me start by saying I've been a resident since May 2017 and I absolutely love it here! I have had nothing but a pleasant experience! The property is well kept, I do not have noise issues, the residents are extremely friendly, and the property is pet friendly! Not to mention that the location is the bomb, I can literally get to anywhere from here -- (the airport, Atlantic station, downtown, the new braves stadium, Mableton, Smyrna and Austell) The leasing office for lack of better words is the shit! Let me tell why! First off, i'm a young lady who lives on her own so there are plenty of times where I needed some help. Maintenance does an amazing job with responding to a request typically between 48 hours or less. Did I mention how friendly they are? Furthermore, the leasing office staff does their absolute best to go above and beyond! I am on the journey of becoming fiscally responsible and I was going to move to save on rent. Just about a week ago, the property manager pulls me to the side and says what can i do to keep you here? The property manager and staff worked diligently to find a unit that would satisfy my budget! GUESS WHO GETS TO STAY AND ON BUDGET???!! YA GIRL! read more

We have lived at Elysian at Collier before Elysian took control. Before the switch the management was caring and took pride in making sure that the property adhered to the very leases we signed. Now, with the new management there have been several times when people would tail gate in the property instead of the management removing the car via police and towing company (as stated in the lease) they blame the residence. There have been two occasions when I have notified the leasing office, once to the manager himself, and nothing was done. He proceeded to allow the individual to remain in the resident gated lot. A very violation of the lease and parking policy. Walk through gates through out the property are left open for days at a time. I would have recommended this property to others before the new company took over. The manager only cares about occupancy not the residence that live at the property. The other day I saw a music recording company (about 15 young adults) caring speakers, microphones, amps etc. I did not know that the apartments were allowed to be used as a club/studio. Not very please with how Collier Lofts went down hill so fast once Elysian took control. read more
