We have visited with our young kids who deal with unexplained and misdiagnosed health issues. Dr Lori has been a wonderful help to our family. I appreciate the office staff who are kind, efficient and helpful. Their office runs very smoothly with how they deal with consultation, visits, finances. Very open with health journey vision and supplements needed. Definitely NOT pushy on anything you don't want to do or need. Dr Lori is very educated in the functional medicine world as she is with traditional medicine. I greatly appreciate that about her. I highly recommend Livewell and I wouldn't go anywhere else for functional medicine.

We have been in town for one week from California and planned on contacting this doctor because she advertises being in West Des Moines and focusing on alternative medicine. I called yesterday and who ever scheduled the appointment said tomorrow at 9 am. I said we'll take it. We drove all the way here and were told the appointment was scheduled for another day. We drove one hour with an 8 month old! I'm very sad and will not be returning to the appointment. I'm writing to warn you all of this situation. I'm not sure of the doctors skills because I didn't get to meet her, but I can tell you she is not in West Des Moines.

He is not only a pharmacist but specializes in nutrition as well, a rare combination. This comes in handy when his sidekick, Dr. Deo Guidry, is equipped with knowledge in alternative preventative medicine. Dr. Guidry can perform multiple tests all specializing in nutritional deficiencies, allergies, osteoporosis or genetic disorders. You want tests on other areas, you got it. However he likes to do what he calls a full body panel first, which addresses what you are deficient in, and more than likely, is affecting your current ailment(s). I've had two full body panels/CBCs (complete blood count) twice. The first was 7 years ago to find out about any deficiencies. After a month, I became pregnant (that wasn't my intention BUT it was something doctors told me I wasn't going to be able to do). I believe most of my deficiencies were addressed because about 3 months ago I re-tested. All came back nice except my vitamin D was a little low. Dr. Guidry about gave me a medal lol So yes, these guys are the real deal. Dr Guidry does the labs, Steve supplies you with high quality SUPPLEMENTS, not medication. Plus, they have a water filter system that is just amazing. Bring in your jugs, fill them up and go! Great price too, I don't bother getting my water elsewhere.
