The door handle broke off the rear door of my Toyota. They charged me $500.00 to replace it. I didn't check around because I had been using them and trusted what they told me. Last year another door handle broke off so I checked around and nobody charged over $250.00 ( that was at the dealership). What a bunch of jerks. It's called stealing. I don't care how you rationalize it-it's stealing. I'm a single woman on disability from an accident that occurred in the line of duty. Don't blindly trust the price quote for a repair job from T&A. My fuel pump went out and I had my truck towed here because it's where my mom always had her auto work done. After being quoted over $800 to replace the pump on an early 2000s GM truck, I knew that I was in the throes of a BS storm. I called another local shop on Glover Lane and was quoted a price of $510. That was around what I was expected, so I called up T&A. They charged me $90 for the prognosis of a dead fuel pump before they would release my truck to the towing company. That may be an industry standard, but I was pissed anyway. I paid them and paid the tow truck another $65 to get my truck to the other shop. The other shop replaced the pump for $510, on time. I have no idea why my mom used this place. She gave them over $1300 to fix her A/C once, which lasted a couple of months. They "repaired" again for "free", and the A/C was dead by the next summer. I would recommend T&A to people that I hate, otherwise I would urge people to find a shop that actually knows how to fix stuff and doesn't charge you hundreds of dollars more than a job should cost. read more

Best repair shop I've been to in a long time! I have a LONG truck (172" wheelbase, 22' overall length) and they were able to alignment the front end perfectly and for an reasonable price. The mechanic Nick was willing to let me watch him work and was extremely detailed in his work. I do not usually let people work on my cars, but will gladly return to this friendly business! A few months later my husband was working on the van and discovered some serious Jerry-rigging that wasn't there before. I absolutely do not recommend T&A Tires in Milton. We had an issue with our old truck we're they did a $1700 repair and a year later told us the same problem was happening and it would be another $1700 we decided to sell it and the buyer took it to their mechanic who charged less than half that because they said that there was no problem with some of the parts mentioned by T&A. So in the end we sold a $5000 truck for $2000 and the cost of the repairs. However that's another story that we didn't learn from. We needed some repairs that our normal mechanic didn't feel comfortable doing due to the fact it was a diesel truck. They told us the issues it was having and the codes it was showing. We took it to T&A after they said they had a certified Ford diesel mechanic and we told them the exact problem to look at and codes it was showing. They ran the diagnostic again and it pulled up the above mentioned code and another. They repaired the other code (that required 10 hours of labor and cost about $1400+) and when they called and said it was done I asked about the other issue and they said it looked great, the issue was fixed, and no codes we're coming up. Less than 2 days later (the second time driven) the truck started having the same problems before we even got off our road. So we took it back the next business day and explained the issues. The next day they called saying that the problem was the exact same code and problem we had originally asked about and it would need another $1500 in repairs to fix the issue. Not only was it the same issue but they said it was so bad that it had to be repaired ASAP and the pump was falling apart and stuck in the filters. (Not something that would have easily been missed if they had even checked it the first time like we requested.) I asked them to put it back together and not do the work. We stopped by that afternoon and I talked with them for 30+ min about the issues and why it wasn't repaired the first time. They told him they would talk to the manager and see if they could reduce the price since we had spent $1400+ just a few days before and give us a call in the morning. We heard nothing and just figured something happened and they didn't get to it. Around 3:30 that day they called and said the truck was ready and will cost $1800+ but they will help us out and it will be $1600+. I was flabbergasted. Not only was it more than the quoted price they we're going to "work" on but they had already done the work without permission. I was on my best behavior and tried to figure out what happened and why this was so messed up. After not returning calls, us having to call them, and talking to the manager and employees for over an hour on the phone we were told that they had saved us money and we were all smiles when we left the first day and they could only take off the 2nd diagnostic test (which they had originally told us they weren't charging us for) to help us out and that the balance would be $1500+. I have never been treated like I was such an idiot and disrespected as a customer. Finally the manager tells me that if I didn't want him to make anything off of the parts then he could take off $80 more but that was it and we couldn't have our truck back until we paid. Then when I still wouldn't pay and told them we were out of town and wouldn't need it for a few days anyway he told me I should take the time to talk it over with his wife and pray about our decision. SERIOUSLY! He is the one charging an arm and a leg for something that should have been fixed the first time and we are the ones that should pray about it? A few people told us we should get an attorney and go talk to them in person but in the end we decided to just be done and pay the balance. In the end... we have had to use our other car for our vacation, have only one vehicle for our entire holiday break, I have missed 4 days of work, the truck has been at their shop for about 2 weeks total, and we have had to paid over $2900 the week of Christmas and New Year's. read more

Let me start off by saying I have used this shop for years with no issues, the staff has always been helpful and wait times are short. I had never had any issues until recently, once about a year ago and another last week. I took my previous car in for a tire balance and rotation, nothing I hadn't had done in the past but this time when I got the car back I noticed that the hub caps were all scrapped up! I informed one of the employees and after a couple weeks they ended up replacing 2 of the hub caps (albeit with used repainted once, not a perfect match but good enough). Fast forward to last week when I took my current car in for a tire patch job, took them a little longer than I had expected....well when I got it back I noticed a couple chips and scratches on the wheel! These are not cheap hub caps, they are factory alloy wheels. I called back and explained the situation and they told me to come back up so they could take a look. I spoke with one of the employees and he said that they would take care of me and replace the wheel, I was sick that such a simple job at a TIRE shop would result in scratched wheels, but also happy that they were replacing it. Fast forward again to when I got a call the other day saying that the managers decided that they were not going to replace it...they decided that "it was a rock chip" and not caused by them! Seriously? Ok sure a rock chip caused two chips on two separate spokes and a circular scratch around where the factory wheel lock USED to be, they replaced it with a regular lug nut (which by the way is not the same size as the others). They also got my interior all greasy, not professional at all and it shows they don't care for you car properly. Last but certainly not least, I noticed today that my leather wrapped steering wheel is damaged, it looks like a ring or something similar caught the leather just right and it snagged it up. I am finished with this shop. THEY DON'T PROPERLY TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR! I expect my car to leave the shop the way it came in, I also expect them to take care of the customer if they damage the car. Seems to me like they saw the price of a new wheel and decided that a "rock chip" story was a whole lot cheaper than replacing a wheel. I am sick that my car which otherwise is in great shape, now has these damaged spots. I am through doing business with T & A, and I will let everyone know about my experience! Do yourself a favor and avoid this shop if you have any level of care for your car, because they sure don't. read more
