If I wasn't afraid that someone would rob my computer and all my valuable (is it really valuable?)…read moreresearch would be gone forever I don't think I'd ever lock my door. Why? I always forget to bring that implement that unlocks it with me! I always have this sneaking feeling that I might not have my keys with me just as I'm walking through the door and as I reach my last pocket and realise oh sh*&@ I didn't take my key with me the door slams behind me! Trust me it's not fun being locked out of your house at 5AM! That's where Ace Locksmiths comes in. They're open 24 hours!! Seriously I couldn't have been happier when I found out about this. Though admittedly I did have to ring the mobile number listed a few times before I got an answer, but someone was out within the hour and I was back inside snuggled up in my warm bed before I even knew what happened!

Key cutting is good, but what about handbags..? Not one bit…read more Handbag repair was NOT satisfactory. Why they have "Bag Repair" advertised is beyond me... 1) Inner lining was stitched to the outside (when it was specifically stated it wouldn't happen) 2) Stitching was VERY poorly done and is falling apart after just one hour of use! The stitching was even unfinished on one handle. 3) Stitching was done in white thread and not the same colour as the other thread (the white thread is visible where the poor, loose stitching was done) 4) The customer service was not good. He (man wearing glasses) looked unhappy to deal with us as customers. We honestly felt unwelcome even being in the store. He even had another (less stressed out) man working there who seemed to be apologising for his (glasses man) behaviour. This does not constitute a professional environment in my opinion. 5) It was not made clear by him (glasses man) when the bag would be ready, as he didn't specify on paper or take our phone number to contact us, and we ended up having to return more than a few times to check when the bag would be finished. He said "I thought I said Saturday?" when, in fact, he made Thursday the pick-up day, in an attempt to make an excuse. My wife and I feel upset, not entirely because the bag was poorly done, but because the entire experience left us feeling "uncomfortable" for even being customers. Overall, not a professional atmosphere, and we would not recommend this store for any type of bag repair (especially if it is delicate in its construction) I could have bought a sewing kit and done a better job myself.

Cheapest shop you can find in city centre. I was looking for 377 watch battery, which costs €1 on eBay. All other shops were asking €10 for a tiny 377 type of battery for my old simple watch that 15 years ago cost me €22. This is insane! Anyway, went through several shops in city centre until I found this helpful simple shop. They sold me battery for €5 without bargaining. I'd say could paid maybe €3-4, but that's fine. For about 5 euro each, I had 1/2 dozen knives perfectly engraved in a nice scripture (you can pick from a large assortment of fonts). Major points for doing the engraving while I waited (took less than 20 minutes). I researched a few jewelers and they all wanted 1 to 2 days to do the same type engraving.

This is classic retail; the art of selling goods that don't come back to customers who do. Many local shops will answer the phone when you are dealing with them and it drives me nuts. I was in Mc Parland's hardware a few days ago and I was in a queue. Once it became my turn the phone rang and he took the call, keeping me standing over 5 minutes having already patiently queued (when his till wasn't ringing) so next time I go I'll sit outside in the car and ring in. We've literally pulled apart our downstairs replacing a kitchen, tiling over 75 square metres of flooring, new cookers, new oil boiler, granite worktops, that weigh tons, so we are choosing different paints and Casa B are able to mix our choice of colours exactly as we need them. We also re furnished our outdoors, before we started internal work, with new composite decking/fencing. We took a piece of the composite to Casa B and they pointed an electronic gizmo that instantly and perfectly identified the colour, so we could match paint. They really consistently give us top class service that brings us back and will bring us back again.
The guy working here makes this place superb to shop in. He's knowledgeable, courteous and…read moreefficient too. It's rare for me to be complimentary but honestly the sad reflection is that more and more these skills are either lacking or not there at all in retail and when you are met with this great service level it jolts you to how it used to be. It's an outlet so they don't deliver which is a real bummer especially in our case when we decided to tile a kitchen floor - we thought 60 square metres would do but had to return for a few more metres - we ended up having to transport a couple of ton including 16 bags of adhesive and bags of grout. Being an outlet it's meant to be lower price but we didn't find it much lower than other places locally that do deliver but it was the server that brought us back to here. We've been in here about 5 times to get various extra stuff as the tilers needed such stuff as plastic levelling spacers to lay the floor and at £50 for £1 worth of plastic and £16 each for strips of aluminium (and it's not one or two it's 20) you know your being robbed blind. Given that they ain't much cheaper than the competition it's time to offer delivery.
