I usually come just for nails and never really had a problem. 3rd time getting a pedicure and it was just poorly done each time. Don't know why I continue to waste time and money at this establishment. Don't understand why the services in this industry has slowly declined. I've went here once my nails usually look pretty good for just walking in , but they were busy so i just decided "Hey , maybe I should just get my toes done while i'm here " you know? Definitely not getting them done here again.., As soon as me and my dad got out of the nail salon he said " It looks like a little boy just painted your toes" man in so sad because i wanted to wear my sandals to this Grad party tomorrow and I don't wanna show these . I have been coming to this salon for over a year, getting acrylic nail with gel polish. Their service is excellent. They are polite, professional, and truly care about the customers need and wants. I do highly recommend this salon. Even though there other nail salons very close to my house, but I drive 20 minutes to come here. The fact that there is always the same person that works on my nail is great. The most important thing is that, they are almost always on time. read more

NEVER EVER EVERRRRRR GO HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR NAILS!!!! First off the people are sooo rude and try to milk you out of MORE MONEY! The time before last I didn't like my color so I went by 2 days later to get a color change which is already $20 itself.. why was the man telling me I needed a fill in after I just got my nails done THERE 2 DAYS AGO!!! Then this last time I went made me know for a fact I'll NEVER EVERRRR GO BACK!!!! I wanted my nails like the picture below & the young girl was doing a TERRIBLE JOB! The shaping, the way she was doing the design was just ALL WRONG! Anybody who gets their nails done knows shape is key! After me asking her to fix like 3 nails this lady got soooo hostile and rude!!! Started throwing stuff around and literally caused a scene yelling because she wasn't doing her job right! She made me get out her chair & sit in the one next to me & soak the nails off cause she "refused" to do my nails anymore. But the parts that really blew my mind is she grabbed my hand forcing it into the bowl sooo aggressively! I really had to tell this young girl not to touch me! So I sit there soaking the nails off but they weren't coming off fast enough (I had something to do soon) so I decided I'll just finish soaking them off at home. So I get up to leave this lady starts chasing me talking about "mam mam mam" I said yes? She said I owed her $10 for taking my nails off.... I just about laughed in her face! I came in there with like 4 nails on & now I was leaving out of there worse than I started off & she expected me to pay her $10? Especially after she put her hands on me and was yelling at me! So like I said I'll NEVER EVER GO BACK! Lucky me I found an amazinggg nail tech that does an incredible job and I get better quality and more designs done to my nails. I have been coming here For six years. I decided while I was out in Ann Arbor to stop somewhere else because I was with someone who wanted to get their nails done, and I decided I would like to get mine redone as well, because I took my previous set off days earlier. I should have known better than to sit down at any other salon other than T&L BUUUUT I did. This woman annihilated my nails and my nail bed, I did not want to pay for what she was giving me and stopped her multiple times during her doing my nails and when she realized I didn't want what she was giving me and I wasn't going to pay for it she completely destroyed my nails and did a lot of damage to my nail bed. The next morning I came here, because they are the only people I trust with my hands at this point. They had to do a lot of TLC to fix the damage the other woman did to my nails, but gave me exactly the set I asked for, unlike the other woman, And for a better price. Just because something is in a pricey neighborhood, doesn't mean their work reflects that. T&L is not only in a not so great neighborhood, but they do the absolute best work I have found in over a decade. Never again will I let someone talk me into walking into another salon to let them touch my nails if it is not this one. I can scream from the rooftops and it still wouldn't be loud enough, this is the best salon in Wayne or Washtenaw County!! They will not overcharge you, if there is an up charge they let you know before they do it to you, and they give you exactly what you ask for. They have very talented artists, who are actually incredibly friendly people. I cannot stress enough, do not waste your time out swear, this is the place to be. A lot of people like to complain that the wait is so long here for walk-ins, but that's because they are a quality salon that does fantastic work. I promise you it is worth the wait. read more

This salon is local for me and I've been coming here for several years now. Staff is friendly and personable. My pedis/manis are simple; so clear coat no add ons or designs. I typically get the same technician but the two other ladies I've had at times have done a nice job as well. The shop is clean, spacious and bright. I've never had any problems and I generally go early in the week early morning so I can't account for service time during peak days/hours. read more

I recently visited after they reopened due to COVID-19. They were not busy at all. As soon as I came in, I was seated. They have plastic dividers and all the stations and spaced out (6 feet). This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I came in and asked for a fill in. The lady says that I needed a full set which costs extra. She begins to pop one of my nails off my finger and says that the nails are bad. She popped it off without putting anything down to make sure it doesn't hurt. My finger is red and sore at this point. She only removes that nail and none of the other old nails and rushes through the rest. I asked for a design that she didn't make straight. She charges me for extra for length. Even though she didn't do any additional new nails except like 4!!! I pay without complaining. I pay for a full set that wasn't even a full set!!!!! I even tipped her!!!! She doesn't even examine my nails to see that the rhinestones from the past appointment were falling off and she needed to replace them. I show her it at the end of the nails and she says she doesn't see anything wrong. I show her again and she says to add 3 new stones out of 20 she would charge 5$ plus a service fee. I ask her why and she raises her voice with me. At this point I am livid and ask for my tip back. She starts speaking Chinese loud as hell obviously talking bad about me to all the workers. No one apologizes or even asks how they can fix my problem. I leave and she FOLLOWS ME OUTSIDE yelling that I shouldn't come back!!!!!!!!! I wasn't saying anything to this woman. I am livid. This is local for me, so I decided to give it a try. Each manicure that I've received has been great! I've been going there ever since. I'm pretty picky about my acrylics, and each staff member who's done my nails has done so on point. Disregard what the review a few down said. They have tons of OPI, Nicole, Essie & China Glaze to choose from. Of course they have the cheap store brands, but who doesn't. Choose what you want to use, duh. I haven't had any problems with nails lifting, polish chipping or anything along those lines. (Of course I properly take care of my acrylics). I have been going here for about 2 years. They have recently remodeled and the place looks great. They offer OPI, Essie and China Glaze nail polishes. They also offer Sally Henson gel polish. I only get manicures and pedicures so I cannot review acrylic nails. I have no complaints with the service. I switch between Shellac and regular polish. And I like the selections they offer. I was recently informed they have the Shellac that changes colors too and I love it! I like the way they arch my eyebrows so I get that service too. They are usually crowded and I think they do the best they can to accommodate the flow of people. Someone always greets you as you walk in. I occasionally bring my daughter and they have the cutest chairs for her to get her pedicure:) It is kid friendly for those being serviced. If you don't want to wait, try to get there when they open. The staff are horrible and RUDE! Last time I checked, I was the paying Customer and mind you, I tip EXTREMELY WELL. They treat Women like their doing you a favor. I do not go anywhere where I'm talked to or disrespectEd while I'm spending MY money. I got my nails done by them on a Saturday and on Monday the shellac on one of the nails peeled off. The following Saturday on my next off day, I went there, they made me wait for 40min. for the female that did my nails, then she had a attitude started yelling at me and said "Why you just now coming back"? This establishment has really gone down. It used to be the best place in Westland. My regular nail tech was out of town so I decided to run around the corner to T&L Nails. Worse decision ever. Ended up with MeMe and her attitude is horrible. She sat in my face and told me she was too tired to do my nails while she sighed right in my face. It was early afternoon around 1 so it's not like it was late and she had been working all day. Mind you I'm paying and I'm one who tips so she's not doing my nails for free. I have been going here for 3 years now and have never really had an issue with them. However, after they remodeled I've noticed the service and people have become worse. I went there for a full set and pedicure the other day, and after seating me to do the full set first, they decided to do my pedicure first instead. The water was boiling hot, so I asked for it to be turned down just a little, then it was barely luke-warm. I tried to tell her it doesn't need to be this cold, but she was not understanding me. While cleaning out underneath the nail of my big toe she kept digging into it very hard. I pulled my foot away and told her it was hurting me. She did not seem to care at all because she took my foot again and kept digging into the same spot. I pulled my foot away again and told her to leave that area alone because she is hurting me. Once again she took my foot and went to the same area, digging under my nail, to the point where it drew blood. I put my foot back in the water and my eyes instantly filled with water because it was so painful. I yelled at her saying I told her to leave it alone because it was hurting and she then started screaming at me in an Asian language. Another employee came over to see what was going on, so I told her, and said I wanted to leave and walked out. The area on my toe still hurts and now I have to go to the doctors because an infection under my toe nail looks like it is forming because of her. Needless to say, I will never go back!!! read more

The white is smeared still have old polish on my toes and the lines are crooked didnt notice till today outside I would go back and ask for a refund but i dont think the head ache is worth it ugh. The young girl at table #3 had a phucked up attitude to start with!!! I had several nails tht needed repairs & instead of fixing the repairs she just wanted to slap acrylic on...oh NO thts never going to work!!! She spoke very little English & she didn't understand the concept of REPAIRING the nail!! She kept saying "You want nail taken off?" No, these are my real nails NOT tips so how do you take off my real nail? She kept saying "I don't know how to fix your nail so if you know way tell me." First if you don't know how to repair a acrylic nail..your in the wrong business!!! I don't know how to fix a nail..Your the nail person!!! Thts wen her nasty attitude really came out..I said hold it..can I get someone else bc I don't like her attitude!!! As I was talking to the so called manager..she wanted to talk..oh no you don't!!
