The days became overcast the the lady I was with was cold so the owner found her a sweatshirt to borrow. The ride is the best part. Sitting on hale bales (I got a blanket from car to sit on in shorts) they ride you out on the trailer to one of the fields and as they enter the field, the herd comes walking up. You stop and they provide a bucket of treats you can throw and sometimes hand feed the large animals with a little care, they come right up to the trailer and they will let you know which can be fed or scratched, without an issue. Was never so close to a bison as to have them taking treats from my hand, kept safely behind the steel rail of the trailer. We saw calf's and they explained which were male and female and how the horns are in each. We were in the field a good amount of time because with all the bison around the trailer, the driver had to wait for a break to climb back to the tractor to go. Nice history story and short film before going out. Not much else to do there but worth the trip and there are other nearby things to visit the same day, making it well worth it.

We prefer to buy vinyl at stores like this to support local business vs buying off Amazon. The…read morecatch is the business needs to be open when they say they are going to be open. We could forgive the time on Google saying 11:00 AM when the sign on the door said they open at noon on Sundays. We went and killed some time, had some lunch. We finished eating and came back at 12:30... the store was still closed. Of course, when we went back to the car and were driving off and happened to pass the store only a minute later, THEN we see an employee coming out of the now unlocked door to set something up out front. We can only assume they had to have seen us trying the door moments before and just didn't care. It's not a difficult thing to open your doors when you say you're going to be open. It is actually one of the critical elements when running a business. We even gave them an extra 30 minutes so we weren't busting the doors down. It's not like opening at noon on a Sunday is the crack of dawn. It can't possibly be that difficult.

*2ND BAD REVIEW* Just left from Checks 4 Cash to cash a…read moreChristmas bonus check from my employer! I haven't been there in probably a year. The owner asked what my phone number was as he looked into the computer & then proceeded to try to bully me about an old review! The old review was for a Kindle Fire that I brought for my daughter I believe back in 2015 for Christmas! Charged the device & gift wrapped it! Wasn't until she opened it & for 3 days in a row she couldn't use the device because it wouldn't hold a charge! I immediately contacted them (the owner) letting him know the problem & that I had the original receipt! He refused to fix the problem not listening to the fact that it was a gift that was wrapped so we could not have known the issues the device was having until days after purchase! He didn't even want to hear it! Didn't offer a return at discounted price, NOTHING! I wrote the review in 2015 for that dispute, for him to then contact me after the fact & offered a refund! Fast forward to today... he immediately tried to bully me into taking down or fixing the review & I explained that I didn't get good service until the review was posted. He then tried to go back & forth about "I spoke to you that day years ago & everyone knows that I offer a refund within 3 days!" I then explained AGAIN that I told him over the phone in 2015 that it was wrapped for Christmas & we couldn't have possibly known it was faulty until the device was opened & used! He then said Oh! Yeah! As if he agrees & remembers the conversation but also slides my check back to me & refused services! I have gone here numerous times to cash checks from 2015 until now & never had an issue until today! The entitlement of this man is beyond believable! You do not get good reviews by trying to bully your way into one! You offer GOOD SERVICES in return for a good review! I would have had no problem with fixing the review in 2015 had I not had to take my loss on the item & only offered a refund after the bad review! I would have considered revising the review if asked NICELY this evening! I will not be returning to this business because there are far better businesses that offer the same services selling merchandise & cash/card transactions!

Hanging out with my sister and grown nieces painting pottery was a ball. The girls night out event was an over 18 event with some risque pottery involved, but I absolutely loved it. We laughed and joked all night long and I felt the prices were fair. I love that it is family owned and they have Christmas trees that you can paint to put together a light up ceramic tree kit. My Grandma had a white one and unfortunately, after she passed, it was broken. We've decided as a family that is going to be a special project this year, that every family will paint and have one as a way to remember her as she and my grandfather were very special people. I really enjoyed myself and the staff was very nice. This is a great place to bring your kids, have a date night, or bring your aging parents. It truly is fun for all ages. I do have a fun idea for them, if they had a kit to sell to do pet paw prints, then bring it back to be fired and glazed, that would be cool, or have a day where pets can come to the parking lot and have their pawprint painted and put on something and then it's glazed and fired, that would be another cool something to do as a special theme! Let's keep this place in business yall! Show them some love, go visit and leave them a review! Laporte needs cute places like this. Tourists love places like this but as locals, we need to patronize places like this in the winter months to keep them thriving. We will certainly be back!
