Long story short I bought a cake (same one my son loved at thanksgiving) and when he ate it he said it tastes like ear wax. I tried it and it was off so I called and asked for a call back so we could maybe return it or work this out. I mean I'm a somewhat long time customer, never had an issue, spent lots, surely I'd get help right? Nope! No call back, so I went to speak to someone with my husband and basically got told either I messed up storage or I'm lying... So after 2 years I chose to lie? OK Lady.. So she rudely speaks to me in front of my husband and because she's my elder I just kinda let it go because I'm not try to raise an old lady's blood pressure and I don't argue with ignorance, I'll just dispute it instead of arguing with someone who should've learned sometimes you get bad product.. Your store can't be 100 percent just perfect or maybe she didn't know but it's more than like she didn't care (the vibe she gave was very "oh my people owned colonels and this is the south") but it gets worse. My story stays the same but hers changes. I go in today and she's mad she didn't get her cake back!! You mean the one I messed up or lied about and you basically told me to just deal with it? That cake.. ok.. And then refused to help me and says from now on you must pay me in CASH!! CASH? Ok let's be serious. The product is good but your store is dirty, sometimes over priced, and the ground beef always smells and taste funny (only meat I don't buy) and you are too old to be acting like this. Anyone who's this old should know better don't you think? Maybe you need a course on business or as a customer pointed out to me going out the door you never seem to happy with people of a certain age and color (Lightbulb). I just said that to my husband last time who thought it was because we were a mixed couple. Really hope racism, ageism, or possibly even sexism isn't your issue. Didn't you learn manners? Sometimes I truly hate when someone is blessed with a handed down business they didn't earn and think they can just pick and choose who they deem worthy of excellent customer service. It was a cake, I've spent more on a 3inch porterhouse. I wish you nothing but the best but please remember businesses do get bad product and changing your story from lying, my fault and now (forgot this part) Selling the other half of the cake I didn't buy to a "customer " and they loved it! Ok... so now after 2 months you specifically remembered selling the cake and you know and remember to who and they loved it! I'll save you the demented lies and just let everyone know not to shop there and your views on certain customers. We're good to shop there as long as there is never an issue!

I did not see any handicapped spaces near the entrance of the bakery, but that's not their fault. There are spaces adjacent to the building and more across a traffic lane. The restaurant is located in the rear inside corner of the shopping center. There is a sign above the entrance so it is easy to locate. Walking in, the baked goods case is on the left wall. We were greeted almost immediately by someone coming out of the rear kitchen area. The staff was helpful in describing the items. Our first visit was near their closing time, so there were not many items left. We did find a few we wanted to try. Our next visit was earlier in the day and the selection was significantly greater. I cannot identify everything we saw or even purchased, but I can tell you everything was quite good. The filled items had fillings like cheese, fruit, one was even ham and cheese. The others were more like sweet breads and muffins. It was very hard to limit ourselves when making our selections as everything looked so good. Tasting each item proved our eyes were good judges of flavor. Mary's Bakery is an unassuming bakery in an unassuming location that provides some excellent products. It is certainly worth your time to visit.

The only thing I didn't like was the baked goods. I purchased a sourdough. It had caraway which is similar to rye and I do not like rye. I did however like the croissants I purchased but on the flip side the five cookies were meh. So more was bad than good. The other vendors I purchased from were wonderful. Eggs, bone-in pork chops, ground beef , dog treats (chicken claws) three types of greens, arugula, Bibb and romaine, and a frozen chicken were some of the things I purchased. I did notice only one vendor had fruit, strawberries, which sold out quickly. The next time I go I hope there is more to choose from. I will definitely return.
