We decided to let him try Texas Adventure Camp. The only positive, he at least enjoyed some of the activities; however, it seems that supervision and keeping things age appropriate is lacking. Long story short, we had to pick up our son on Wednesday! He's not the type to be homesick and like I stated previously, this wasn't his first, second or even third year at a camp...it was his 5th! He was allowed to camp overnight with boys in HIGH SCHOOL! He's was going into 6th grade! High school boy talk at night is quite different than middle school boy talk. And I'm not the type to shelter by child but it was highly inappropriate! Thankfully my son had his cell phone so we were in constant contact and we even encouraged him to wait it out to see if it got better. He felt so uncomfortable with the type of "talk" that was allowed that he requested to come home. Of course, the camp blamed it on being homesick. We requested at least half a refund and his camp store refund...nothing. Needless to say, he's excited to go back to T Bar M this year!

My first year at camp, I was nervous because I didn't know anyone. The counselors made me feel much better, and the kids were nice too. The CITs did a really good job, making kids feel included and almost seemed like everyone's personal best friend. The food was amazing. I was a picky eater as a kid and Slumber Falls' food helped me grow out of this phase. If I ever have kids, I will send them here, because at Slumber Falls Camp you make life-long friends and memories.

He has not been sick one time, is so much cleaner, acts happy at drop off, and doesn't want to come to me when it's time to leave. It never failed that he would always be crying at pickup time and more often than not drop offs at KRK. The food is so much healthier and the communication and care is unreal. I never heard from anyone at the dance studio. I called again today to get information regarding a class and the woman "Amy", answering the phone was clueless about the classes or the dance schedule the studio offered. She said she would take down my name and number and someone would call me back. I said no thank you, as I am still waiting for someone to call me back from last year regarding the same class information. This is really sad, as I grew up in New Braunfels and I live just down the street in Gruene. I would like to support local businesses, but not this one. Very disappointing.
