Stopped to browse as you do and wasn't pounced on like some garages their cars have full description in the window so didn't have to ask anyone for mileage, spec etc (not seen that before).. But a costly browse as I spotted a Pug convertible that I knew my wife would love (and love me for buying it....) A fair deal, new MOT and service thrown in without hassle or asking, they even got the road tax for me at cost. A first in my car buying expereince. I left them poorer but didn't feel robbed as 1 or 2 car purchases I've made before and suffered afterwards. Thanks lads will recommend to all my friends and family its just a shame your located so far from Sussex.

The after-sales experience has been really good with both the sales and mechanical teams, even being lovely about answering what I'm sure were silly questions about cars! I definitely recommend them.

After using Robins & Day for years and being very happy…read morewith their service,I decided to use Charters Peugeot Reading for the first time as they were more local to me this time. Biggest mistake of my life! I had booked my car in for a routine major service which was supposed to cost £295. But on the day of the service,I was called by the service department saying they had found another fault and this was going to cost me £300 more! As I am not a technician and the department instilled a sense of panic into me and I agreed for the extra work to be done. When I went to collect the car,I asked to examine the part they replaced and I didn't see any defect with it,but I paid the full amount of over £600! On checking the service book I was shocked that it was filled out wrongly by a supposedly qualified technician! it was then that the problems got worse and I began to suspect that the extra work I was told was needed was not actually needed. I suspected the dealership made up a non existant fault to extort more money out of me! When I raised the issue of the unnessecary work and my service book filled out incorrectly with the Aftersales Manager and the Director of the company they were simply not bothered. It seemed to me that they had got their money out of me and were not prepared to rectify matters. I had to question the fact that if a supposedly experienced technician was incompetant enough not to fill out a service book properly, how could I be sure he actually carried out the service or the supposed "repair" competantly? I bitterly regret using this Dealership and I strongly warn everyone to avoid them. I think they are crooks and conmen!!
Bought a used Peugeot 208 from them recently after their advice and really glad I did. What a great…read morecar and more importantly, what great service! Wish other dealers took a leaf out of their book. Never felt pressured into buying anything, was offered a choice of cars for test drives and they even sourced a personalised number plate for me. The only criticism (that I can see) is how far out of the city they are. Highly recommended if you're in the Berkshire area.
