I have not made a 1 star review for any business anywhere in the US .; That includes motels, veterinarians, restaurants but ....about our local Verizon store in Alexandria, MN I give one star. I am guessing this is a non corporate store and not corporately owned. In reading all reviews about Verizon it does seem a LOT of complaints involve non corporate stores. They will sell you a phone. That is pretty much it. Poorly trained employees who should not be on the floor or still in training re: customer service, plans and the phones themselves are attempting to help people with Expensive product and investment *I was pushed towards plans with far too much data GB for me. "It was better to start me with more than too little." I went home to read info on plans since I could tell I wasn't hearing about them all.( For what ever reason, there are no Verizon plan brochures any more. ) I've been a Verizon customer for years. ( I pretty much had to be due to tower coverage) We can ALL see I didn't need much GB. * I chose my own phone without the flailing, failing, inadequate and mainly under-educated help from the employee. "Oh, you don't want to go that cheap" is pretty much the only information I got. This girl just doesn't know her stuff. I went home to read about my probable phone choice and others as well. * She can transfer Nothing. (Among other simple things.... Me-where's the ap button on my home screen- Her- "oh , I think they did away with it)" I specifically said to Point my pictures to Gallery, where I can save all and edit. I specifically said DO NOT POINT THEM towards Google ( cloud). "Oh, you'll like it. That's where it goes....to the Cloud" I got the cloud...nothing in my Gallery. Messages did not go over , NOTHING transferred over. With exception of photos and messages, I brought my new Samsung phone home overnight and got it back fairly close to operating as my earlier Samsung phone . Took my phone to the local computer/phone specialist . He transferred my phone over in it's Entirety in an hour. Same with the T mobile guy previous this same week. Sadly, I couldn't keep my Mobile phone due to lack of good coverage in my area. I am stuck with Verizon for awhile longer. Little competition can create "don't have to care" attitude. I am waiting for T Mobile to get busy on their towers in this area so I can switch.

Very frustrating company. They sold my elderly mother (who is on income assistance living in an…read moreassisted living home) a brand new iPhone 8 for $699 where it's supposed to cost $449. That's $250 (43%) above retail on a phone that is multiple years out of date. That same price buys you an unlocked iPhone 11 directly from Apple. no strings attached When asked to refund the difference, it was a flat out NO. Small town and midwest values were basically tossed right into the dumpster in favor of taking advantage of someone who doesn't have much. I want to be very clear here: They will charge you MORE than what Apple, Verizon (the real Verizon), AT&T, or any other carrier would charge you. I'm all for supporting local businesses but not when it comes at an insane 43% premium. If you went to the Ford dealer and they asked you pay $40,000 for the entry-level $28,000 F150 just because, would you?

Buckle up because this will be a long post. I'm gonna start off by saying if I could give this…read moreplace zero stars I would. My husband and I went to this location while on vacation and needed to get some new phones short notice. The manager- Jack helped us out. First, this is an authorized dealer not a corporate location so basically they can get away with more (this is what I understood after speaking with people that work in a corporate store) 1. We were switching over from AT&T and were told if we switched T-Mobile would pay off our lines with AT&T. What they don't tell you is this process takes MONTHS. We got our phones mid July and it is almost end of August and we haven't gotten any reimbursement. 2. When we signed up we were told our bill would be a certain dollar amount per month and when we received the first bill it was higher then we were initially told. After going to a corporate store we were told that the wrong promotions and the wrong trade in values were given to us. 3. After we signed everything we received a bag with our new phones boxes AND 3 sync-up trackers that Jack told us were FREE. Upon logging into our T-Mobile portal I learned we were paying monthly for them. After speaking with the corporate store there is now way to take them off other then paying them off in full which equates to $126. 4. This is unrelated to the store itself but unfortunately for us we had way better service when we had AT&T. My husband and I now find ourselves constantly without any service at all. The only calls we can make when without service are SOS calls. I have had to go into a different store (a corporate store) 3 separate times and have several phone calls with Carrier Freedom (the reimbursement company) to get this mess fixed. I wish we would've just stuck with AT&T.. Hope this post helps someone because I wish I would've had this advice before we went into this store.
