I purchased a cell phone from them on Mar 8, 2024 and when I called in to upgrade my services I found out they are selling the customer's internet and phone services to an Indian company in Long Island, NY. Not only that, I personally went into the store on Nelson Rd at 3723 and purchased a new phone thinking I was adding a cell phone to my existing account and today, March 9, 2024 I found that my internet and phone line was additionally sold to the Indian company and there was no way I could speak with the local office in Lake Charles, LA because their lines are routed out to the Indian Co. in New York, this is not to be prejudice. Optimum local number in Lake Charles is non-existent on their website. Beware!!! Now I will be reporting them to the (FTC) Federal Trade Commission for deceptive trade practices, the (AG) Attorney General for fraud and the (IG) for deceptive trade practices and fraud as a back up. Let me not forget the (BBB) Better Business Bureau. Scammed Customer and Mad as Hell !!!!!!!

I stopped at this location to purchase a replacement device. The sales associate, Dejana, assisted me with buying a new phone, which I believed was a straightforward transaction. However, in April, I visited another AT&T store and discovered that an additional line/account had been opened under my name during that December visit--without my knowledge or consent. Since then, I had unknowingly been paying for this unauthorized line for months. I filed a fraud complaint with AT&T, but was told that the account was "authorized," which is extremely concerning given that I never approved any additional services beyond replacing my stolen phone. Based on my experience, I question the practices at this location, as it appears there may be incentives to open additional accounts for commission purposes without full customer awareness or consent. I strongly encourage customers to carefully review all documents before leaving the store and to closely monitor their bills after any transaction at this location. Dr. Benjamin

He made the remark that he would lose money by her returning the phone. I feel that's not professional. The 4G network they tout is only available right now in major metropolises. A current complaint is that "Verizon wireless has grown too big for their britches." I would rather deal with a dropped call here and there with AT&T than take the chance with a slow network, as I use the network more. I am however a customer of their wireless internet options. Starting with a USB device and after having problems getting the 'Fivespot' to work now am a customer of the MiFi, enabling me to finally have Wi-Fi in my house. The staff is fairly knowledgeable with their products, and technical support for the Fivespot issue was adequate although after an hour on the phone, I felt that I knew about as much as she did about how to get the thing to work. She waived the restocking fee, which allowed me to switch out the device in the store for free. I've got no complaints with this store, everyone was courteous and seemingly tried their best to solve my issue, although the wait times in line are horrendous.
