I had multiple contractors come out to give us a bid. When Dillman came to give a bid he took extra time to talk with me and make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. Initially, we'd planned a big project but scaled it back to fit our budget, and they were so accommodating with re-bidding and adjusting the scope. They tackled several paver landings for us, handled electrical work that was damaged during digging (my fault), and trenched about 70-80 feet to install a spigot at the back of the property. They also replaced a large amount of mulch--about 13 cubic yards--and did a top-notch job. What really impressed us was how adaptable they were. Mid-project, we decided we wanted the entire front yard torn out and resodded. They had a crew out the next day, removed the old sod, brought in topsoil, tilled it, and laid the new sod--all on short notice. He claims that he has to generate some money to remedy the problem, but we are still waiting. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and believed he was going to keep his word when he promised to make things right. I wish I could say he honored his word, but instead he ignores his customers and gives them lies and excuses. I would never recommend using this person or company. 7/19/24: Spoke to Jose, the business owner, stammering over his words, still making excuses, "I'm waiting for the concrete mix company to make it right" I explained to him that communication goes along way, and if he would just keep his customers informed of what is going on then we wouldn't feel like he was blowing us off. I asked him how long it would take to make this right, and he said he needs 1.5 month to make it right. When I informed him that I would consult with an attorney if he is not holding up to his word, he immediately becomes defensive and states that he will not do anything if he is being given threats. I reminded him that the concrete work did look great but is not holding up the way it should be. I also informed him that I would happily update the review once he makes it right. Honestly, I don't believe that he will make it right, and that is truly unfortunate. I will continue to advocate for this to be corrected, and I'm certain he will hear from my attorney very soon.
