Fabulous location in the Water Supply Dunes of Amsterdam, near Vogelenzang. Have a pancake, let your children run loose, go for a long walk in the dunes, and come back for some ice cream after the walk. The pancakes here are good, a lot better than De Duinrand, not quite as good as De Konijnenberg, but their location really adds a lot to the restaurant. My younger brother worked here for a few months, until he got fired for going on vacation too often. He enjoyed the job though, the management was nice. read more

't Panneland is an absolute gem! Whether you sit outdoors on a nice day or head inside, the atmosphere is really special. The interior has this incredible, rustic charm that honestly reminds me of the cozy restaurants you might find tucked away in the rural Appalachian Mountains in the US. The location is perfect. It sits right by the AWD (Waternet) dunes--this is exactly where you would park your car before heading out for a walk, making it the perfect spot to stop by both before and after exploring nature. They have an awesome beer selection, and the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. While some of the food items might feel a bit pre-made, everything tasted great and hit the spot. One notable thing to keep in mind is that they don't serve fries, so I guess they don't have a deep fryer on-site--which honestly is totally okay and fits the unique, rustic vibe of the place perfectly! Really worth the visit. I'll definitely be back! read more
