Now, having inquired about the position in question I was informed by more than one party within the office that it had not yet been filled. "Great"... or so I thought. The receptionist answering the phones(on my 3rd inquiry call) asked me if I'd filled-out their online application and if I were aware of their policies. Yes. I was told, and I do quote, "Okay Mr. "O" if we have anything that fits your expertise we will contact you." Okay, now hang on... Let me repeat the question and subsequent statement: Is "X" position still available? The answer was "yes". "Okay. Then I would like to apply to the "X" position that I am making reference to. Response: "Okay Mr. "O" if we have anything that fits your expertise we will contact you." "May I speak with a recruiter please?" I asked. Same answer. Bottom line: If I wanted to talk to an automated system I would NOT have called a human being. Nelson Staffing has the people skills of your average grocery store chain Wells Fargo branch teller.
