Awful, awful, horribly awful truck fueling and parking area. Massive potholes everywhere. Very tight fueling area with almost no egress. One very tight driveway with reserved parking right on top of it. Fueling lanes also back up into the single driveway causing traffic jams, and causing huge safety and accident concerns. Also this place has been this way for years and really unbelievable that TA has not fixed this place that is so incredibly unsafe!!! read more

I stopped here with my semitruck and as I entered the truck side, my truck was suddenly and violently shaken by a sharp drop that I can only describe as the worst "invisible" large hole I've ever hit in a semitruck. It turned out that the between the concrete apron and where the asphalt pavement should start there's basically a deep trench that's almost impossible to evaluate for how bad it is especially as the apron slopes down and the attention here must be mostly on the mirrors as turning something this big into this driveway must be done with a lot of care toward the rear of the rig. I stopped briefly after the shocking drop to make sure I could understand what caused this violent shaking, and to see if there was any obvious damage to my truck. When I went inside to use their bathroom facilities, I found the entire area from the doors into the male bathroom was grossly dirty, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks if not months. As a trucker I use TA facilities a lot, so I plan on reporting the horrible conditions at this facility, to their corporate headquarters as well. read more

This is a crappy TA in BFE. The gas is shitty, no 93 octane, It has a popeyes and subway but that is about it. Just crappy fast food. The only plus is the bathrooms were clean. And they had some cool local souvenirs. Disappointing. Not the best stop. read more

The list is REAL long why this Shell is really worth skipping. First, you have to go into the store to pay because the pump pay wasn't working on 2 different pumps. 3rd pump we had to go inside. Second, when you travel long distances, you really need to be able to clean your windshield. ALL reservoirs were empty. Thirdly, the bathrooms were iffy on cleanliness. When I came here to for fuel and to use the restroom this place was super busy. The restrooms for the women's was being cleaned which caused all the ladies to go across to the other side to use the restrooms. That line was pure insanity and was about 10 people deep. Luckily while in line, the other side opened back up again so I could use it with no line. There is plenty of options for food here but the lines were really long. I realize that I must have stopped at a busy time. My husband even said there was a line for the men's restroom and it was nasty in there. read more

It's a really quiet place to stay for the night. Plenty of parking. The only problem that I had was while taking a shower the water temperature goes through mood swings very often, you'll have hot water and then it's freezing cold, warms back up, cold.. it's a vicious cycle. As a truck stop I'd say this is a pretty typical TA. I was going to give them three stars, but bumped it up to four because my breakfast at the Country Pride restaurant was very good. I got the "Trucker's Traditional", which is basically eggs and a meat choice (I got bacon), toast & either hashbrowns or several other side choices. I opted for the oatmeal over the potatoes. As far as the rest of the facility goes, pretty typical for the big trucks. It was clean and well kept. Parking will fill up fairly early in the evening. There is a big dirt lot west of the parking lot that can be used if necessary, but use extreme caution when going in there as it is full of very deep craters. And they are plentiful and hard to maneuver around. So just be real careful if you venture out that way. read more

I'm in need of a break and there is a Subway inside so I can fill my tummy and gas tank in the same stop. The restroom here is always clean. We stopped here because our pop up camper was having electrical issues and we noticed the truck repair center was open on a Sunday. My husband went inside and told mechanics James and Joe the issue and they agreed to look at our camper, even though their business was big trucks. We thought it might be a fuse but they discovered it was electrical. After spending about a half hour on it they rewired the light vehicle connection to the camper so we could drive back to Texas safely. They wouldn't accept any payment. We'd had a rough 12 hours including blown and replaced tires the night before (all while traveling with two small children) and the kindness of these gentlemen was much appreciated. They made our day and we are so thankful! Thanks, James and Joe! We also ate lunch here, used the restrooms, and purchased snacks. Not a bad travel center. A quick in and out from the highway. They have a subway and another country sit down restaurant to choose from if you want to grab a bite. We didn't! As part of my #AcrossAmerica travel, we needed to make one last gas stop before Albuquerque. Unfortunately there aren't many options along I-40 outside of Santa Rosa much closer to ABQ. Construction at the exit made it a bit difficult to enter/exit the stop. I had an issue with their inability to keep panhandlers away- lady came up to my driver side and had her +1 stand in front of the car. There is a Subway inside though (the bread smell is everywhere inside!) as well as a small convenience store. The bathrooms were super clean too. read more

Worst TA yet. The cashiers look like male hookers for the truckers. I said $15 on 6 and the pump never came on. Go back in and he says he thought i said 1, even after repeating 6 back to me ( stand there in the cold wind waiting...) ;and the subway is weird. 12" sub is $5 but a 6" is $4.50!!. Never will go back. The Subway people were disorganized, the woman who fixed 1 sub left in the middle of ordering it. Another woman who had been cleaning the floor when I walked in fixed my sandwich. Pulled in with an RV and found half of their lot torn up and roped off. Cars had to pull up to pumps and then back out from each and people were randomly parked i. The middle of the drive. We couldn't get near the pumps and spent 15 minutes trying to back out around the cars to get back to the street. Perhaps when they are done with repairs it will be usable, but until then, stay away with large vehicles. read more
