Zero stars. Keep driving. No point in stopping here when we don't have any food available. The only restaurant they have is Popeyes, and they close at 7 PM. Most truckers don't get off the road until well past 7. And they don't open until 11 AM, long after all the drivers have left. If TA wants to be considered a truckstop they need to rethink who they lease their restaurant space out to. Keep driving. read more

We ate in the restaurant while passing through. The food was good and the service was excellent. I would have given the restaurant a 4 star. The 1 star is mostly for the cashier in the store, a young male cashier. While attempting to buy a soda, we had to listen to his speaker phone conversation with his girlfriend or wife. The word, f#$k was used at least 20 times while we stood there waiting for him to absent mindedly scan our drink and accept payment for it. Super unprofessional. read more

I am a loyal customer of the T/A and Petro truck stops. I have an UltraOne loyalty card and have it swiped every time I visit. I have visited T/A truckstops frequently over the past few weeks. For months on end, I might not visit one of their truck stops because of the routes I run. Assuming my card was active, I tried to get a free shower after having fueled. The night attendant insisted on charging me $15 for a shower, because my card was inactive. Poor customer service. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I'm giving it just 1 star because like so, so many of these places anymore they just don't give a damn about us truckers. You really can't even legitimately call them truck stops, at least not in the true sense of the meaning, Truck Stop. Anymore they've become nothing more than fuel stops. Maybe a beverage and a snack, but that's about it. A driver can't get a decent hot meal anymore. The diner here is shut down as is the case with the majority of so called Truck Stops in America. They blame it on COVID or even President Trump. REALLY????? And get this, the Popeyes that is here closes at 4pm. At least that's what I was told. This is Wednesday 09/27/2023. The Loves I stayed at last night in Clive, IA. has a Denny's. I arrived there at 5:15pm, parked, went straight inside and I'll be Damned. You guessed it, those SOB's closed at 5:00pm. What these SOB's fail to realize is that Truck Drivers do not have normalized regular working hours like the vast majority of society are afforded. We drive as much as 10-11 hr. shifts that end at any given time of the day or night, whether it be 8am, 8pm, 1-2-3am or whenever. Now I don't know just how you might feel about this, but I know that when I'm done with my shift, all I want is to be able to get a nice hot meal and go to bed. Regardless of what Damn time it is!!! And also, If time allows for it, I might just want a nice hot breakfast when I get up to start my day. Regardless of what Damn time it is!!! These people want their shelves stocked and their goods delivered but don't give a flying "F" about a single one of us. I only wish I had the time and know how to organize a boycott against these inconsiderate rat bastards to teach them that we are not to be neglected. Or maybe even a truckers strike like the auto workers are doing. We would demand better pay, better treatment from shippers and receivers who always treat us like we don't matter, more parking availability, much more!!! Consistent speed limits, same for trucks as for cars!!! Just to name a few grievances. Well thanks for letting me share and rant. I'd really like to know your thoughts on these issues. My rating is based on: 1) This Travel Center consistently having some of the cheapest gas near Ann Arbor and 2) Having clean restrooms, decent gas-station coffee, and a well stocked selection of snacks, soft drinks, etc. It's about all you can ask for in a pit stop. I haven't eaten at the diner or Popeye's, but I live nearby so no real need to. When fuel is low and I'm passing by, this is a mandatory stop. read more

This is a review of the Country Pride Restaurant which is conveniently attached to the Truck Stop right off I-94 @ Baker Rd. I stop here when I have a protein craving for beef. It is always the Chopped Steak & Eggs for me, which includes the centerpiece of a generous third-pound seasoned beef patty. I like it that the Pride has a choice of six types of bread with your b'fast although this creature of habit sticks w/ the Sourdough for my toast. Also of interest is the U of M football as well as patriotic photos on the walls. The Pride grabs 3 stars. read more

This place I will always hold in high regard. Having stopped here many times in the past when I used to drive trucks for a living. Huge parking lot can fit 200 trucks easily, fuel for trucks, a garage staffed 24 hrs if you need help fixing that truck of yours. Certified mechanics for Freightliner trucks, a CB shop to tune that radio of yours, excellent showers not the showers that dribble but water with force! After a long day or night of hard driving this is the type of shower one wants to wash the pain and grime away. Country Pride restaurant, T/A's best, however this particular restaurant was terrible back in 2003-2007. Then they did something probably hired a new cook for the food is 100% better now. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family if they want some great truck stop food while on their journey! The T/A is on exit 167 in Dexter MI. Off I94. read more

I was banned for being homeless an using there showers! There tire air machine don't work ether don't pay the $2 it's a scam! Matt the manger won't even say anything to you about being trust passed. An Rick the district manger just said on the phone that he don't want no homeless scum around! Aye though one thing I can say the pilot down the road has cleaner showers an the towels don't smell like they are used or you won't see hair in the showers! I have been around the employees at this store an there are a few that do there job right an some that don't but I can tell you the ones that do haven't been around much! If you would like to support a store that don't give a shit about the people around them an only there money it's this store right here! I appreciate all the truckers that out here traveling! Stay safe y'all! Crazy I have traveled all over the world with my mom and dad an this TA is nothing close to remembering what they used to be! It's not a bad place after a long haul. Place is clean and spacious (outside of the parking nightmare) and servers are nice. Country songs flow in the background as you eat your food and in some spots, outlets for you to charge your devices. The food is hit or miss here. By rule anything on 'special' means it's close to expiration and needs to go. For me that was the sirloin. Undercooked and under seasoned, and with a lot more gristle and fat than you should see. I would visit again but pick something suggested or well known. read more

We stopped here last night after picking up our car in Ann arbor from the repair shop. I got the soup and salad bar ($6.99), along with the pasta add-on for an extra $2.99., while my wife got the BLT. Well, the salad bar didn't have any type of diced chicken, ham or turkey, just the stand fair you would get on a side salad. The soup pots were mostly empty and not very appetizing, but that could have been me. Then there was the pasta dish. The pasta I got from the cook was especially frustrating, since it didn't show up for almost 15 minutes, it wasn't hot and he was cooking it from their mobile pasta station no more than 8 feet from us. As I previously state, the overall dish wasn't hot, more like barely warm when I received it.The pasta tasted old. That taste & texture you get when pasta has been sitting for awhile, that rubbery chewy texture. The Alfredo sauce as I said wasn't very warm and had little to no flavor at all. I asked for chicken and mushrooms to be added to the dish. My mistake. Well, the chicken appeared to be old, since it had that dried out texture, the kind of texture you get when it has been warmed up a couple of times. The mushroom seemed exceptable, but that might have been because I was focused on other aspects of the dish. Maybe it was a bad night for them, maybe this is a standard night. I don't know, but I do know that within two hours of eating, I was firmly planted on the porcelain throne, with Niagara Falls flowing at a brisk rate from my south bound side. So, I believe that this food establishment will be written off my list of places to dine anytime in the near future. But, I did drop 10 pounds. (Just kidding, it was more like 5 pounds.) read more

If it wasn't for the waitress being so apologetic, I would say 1 star is 10 stars too many. I went in this evening to place a to go order. My wife ordered a club sandwich and seasoned fries. Well they were undercooked crinkle fries and the sandwich was a gelatinous mess! I couldn't eat it and I served in the military! I ordered a steak medium rare... If Jacks Link jerky is medium rare they got it spot on, but it's not. Here is the kicker... I got home and not even two minutes later I was heading back with the "food" to show them and get my $ back. I was told that they could not reverse the charges on my debit card! Wtf??? Umm I am a retail manager and owned a restaurant, never had a problem doing it, but apparently they can't. So needless to say I am writing this! Avoid this place like the plague! Being born and raised in the area, I was passing through and called my dad to see if he wanted to meet me at the truck stop for breakfast.....mind you it has been probably 20 years since I have stopped here to eat.....and it will probably be another 20 years before I return. Our waitress was terrible.....how terrible? Well I'm glad you asked. The place was slow, not many people were in the restaurant, area, we sat down and was approached by our elderly waitress, she asked what we wanted to drink and we replied back with coffee, she left and came back with our coffee, menus and two glasses of water.....*poof*.....she was gone. 15 minutes later.....here she comes laughing, "I forgot about you guys, I'm sorry. Hope you enjoyed your coffee and your long talk.....lol" I replied back, well most of our conversation time was about you and our coffee would had been nice to drink with our unordered breakfast.....lol" (Sarcasm). So she takes my Dad's order and then ask me what I wanted, I said two eggs scrambled, sausage links with wheat toast.....now here's the funny part, the same person that told us that she forgot about us, wanted to really impress us by taking our orders with just her memory, she didn't write nothing down.....as I pointed out to my Dad for a little laugh. As she approached the order window, she stopped and turned around, walks back up to me and says, "you wanted two eggs over east, hash browns with wheat toast?" I said close, you got the toast right, I want two eggs scrambled, sausage links with wheat toast, no hash browns....."poof".....she's gone. Probably wasn't even 10 minutes and here she comes.....set my Dad's order down, looked good.....placed my plate down and I'll be damned.....two scrambled eggs wheat toast and hash browns.....lmfao.....she says, "is that right?".....I said no, I wanted sausage links but forget it, I'll just eat this....."oh no honey, I'll go get them for you." That's alright I'm fine.....walks up to the order window and shouts, I need a side order of sausage links real fast.....omg 2 minutes later and she brings me a small plate of sausage links.....me and my dad start to talk and get caught up as we are eating and I fork a link, bite into it to find it half cooked.....I spit it out and looked at the links and the sausage was only cooked on one side. With the surrounding communities of Ann Arbor, Dexter and Chelsea your talking thousands of people then not to mention just the travelers that stop to pass through but how amazing it COULD be to be able to tap into that source of a customer base and how much money could possibly be made. Amazing to me from a business point of view the earning potential that is just being lost. Oh and I almost forgot to mention.....our coffee, and two breakfast.....wait for it, wait for it......drum roll please.....TOTAL $23.00.....NEVER AGAIN! I'm going to leave my comments at that, I won't even tell you about the men's room and the piss soaked bathroom stalls.....what a shame, poor management or a owner that doesn't care, you can put lip stick on a hog and try to pass it off as a prom queen but at the end of the day, its still a hog....meaning (New Canopy That was Being Installed) Thanks for reading my rant.....lol.....best wishes! read more
