The staff has always been kind and helpful whenever I've visited, and they have a huge selection of drinks to choose from. Some of my favorites so far have been the Icy Thai, Purple Oreo, Matcha drinks, Fruit Teas, and their Milk Teas. I especially appreciate that their Milk Teas are dairy-free, which is a big plus for me. I did try one of the Milkaholic drinks (the Cloudy Ube), and since those contain dairy, the dairy flavor ended up overpowering the drink for my taste. If you like dairy drinks you may enjoy it more, but it wasn't my favorite. I went back because I thought something was wrong with the drink, and the staff was kind enough to make me a different drink to replace it! I also tried the Coco Bean Blend, which is made with Vietnamese drip coffee and a coconut slush. The coffee flavor was very strong and bitter for me, and the coconut slush didn't have much flavor and felt more frozen than slushy. One other thing I noticed on my most recent visit is that the fish tank (which is black) seems to have a lot fewer fish than it did when they first opened or during previous visits. Overall though, this is still a really fun spot with lots of drink options, and I'll definitely keep coming back to try more from their menu.

We've stopped in a handful of times when in the cultural area (my old neighborhood) and found it to be very lovely..great atmosphere, good coffee and pastry, nice vibe, good prices, great service, decent location.. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the attentive service, the friendly dog that hangs out (it belongs to the owners, I believe), and terrific pour over coffee. Now that Flint Foster is closed and Good Beans operates on only limited boutique hours (ugh), we'll make Dorothy's more a local hangout..

When it was our turn at the window, both my wife and I ordered cold coffees with brown sugar. I also chose a key lime puff pastry while my wife went with a pain au chocolat. I first started with my key lime puff pastry, which I found to be quite good. The puff pastry definitely had good lamination, while the key lime was sharp, and I appreciated the coconut on top. After that I tried my coffee, and while it wasn't what I was expecting, it was delicious. The coffee itself had a creaminess to it, while the brown sugar tasted almost like caramel. While the coffee flavor itself was a bit lost in this combination, I didn't mind at all and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife also enjoyed her coffee and saved her chocolate croissant for later. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of the items I had here were delicious, and I would love to try more of their menu, especially some of their crepes.
