We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

When we arrived at opening for our reservations, we saw them turn a few people away who attempted to dine as walk-ins. The restaurant has a modern and clean ambiance. Almost everything on the menu has a half portion, which I really liked --this meant I got to order and try more items. Although they recommend about 2 half portions per person, we couldn't help but order 5 items. To start, we had the Risotto (€8.90) and Grilled Octopus (€12). The octopus is so tender and the vegetable gives a nice balance, which is perfect as a starter. But the risotto is out of this world --easily one of my favorite risottos for how cheesy it is with the truffle flavor from the mushrooms too. It's a match made in heaven! Next, we had a variety of meat dishes: Duck Confit (€7.90), Sirloin Steak (€12), and Grilled Iberian Pork Shoulder (€8.90). The steak was perfectly cooked and a must for all carnivores. You also have to get the duck for how nicely it is presented, although I wish there was more meat on the duck. I would probably pass on the pork as it didn't stand out to me, but it was very tender. This was such a memorable meal that is worth coming to Seville for. I wish I had more room in my stomach to try all the dishes, especially the desserts. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.

No friendly greeting. No explanation of the menu. No suggestions. Though the interior had only three tables occupied and one table occupied outdoors, we definitely did not feel like we were treated as guests who would be spending 60€ for lunch (food only, no beer or wine). Not that the food was real bad but so many things were lacking to make it even good. First off, they plop a small paper sack of two hard as a rock bread rolls in frint of you. No explanation. Drop and go. Yep, remember its not free. This practice sucks and should be illegal. You will pay 3,80€ to gnaw on stale bread while hoping you don't break a tooth or make the roof of your mouth raw. I know, it was our choice to go ahead and eat it, but since we had decided to have only one meal today, we were very hungry by 13:30h. I had no idea it would cost 3,80€. At most this day old should cost 1,50€, no actually it should be free! You are also served a few black olives (strange as in Italy I have only been served green). Olive oil, wine vinegar and salt & pepper was on the table. Good thing for the oil since soaking the stale bread in the oil helped us swallow. But...wine vinegar? At an Italian restaurant?? Where is the balsamic? Strange. Our starter was the Caprese Salad. In my attached photo, I actually 'dressed it up' on my own with oil, vinegar, salt & pepper. Oh my. Look at this. For 15,90€ we got a PLAIN sliced not ripe flavorless tomato and a round of simple mozzarella cheese with a decortive teeny sprig of basil. How pathetic! What would this cost you at the local Consum grocery?? Possibly 1,20€ for two tomatoes (though this was most likely only one and a half tomatoes) and 3,50€ for a ball of mozzarella. Not even quality Burrata cheese!! No flavor. No basil. No herbs. No pesto. No balsalmic reduction. No SOMETHING to enhance the empty flavor. And the price. Oh my. For our mains, we both chose off the 'fresh pasta' menu. Again this is PASTA and each dish was quite pricey. Mine was the Tagliatelle Tartufo. Not even FRESH mushrooms. Really. Canned mushy 'shrooms were stirred into my pasta with maybe a bit of truffle oil to pretend to taste like truffles. No shaved truffles. No truffle flakes. No offer of Parmigiano cheese - which is always offered on a pasta dish. No one ever came by to offer any shaved cheese. No twirling spoon. How is this an ITALIAN restaurant??? And the price? For a fist size portion...16,50€. YIKES! Husband ordered the Ravioli Pecorino Pere. At least it was flavorful with the butter and thyme sauce. But the pear stuffing was very limited. These were the flatest - or least filled ravioli we have ever seen. An easy way to stretch their costs but still offer the dish. This cost, crazy at 16,90€ Bottom line, this is more like a VERY overpriced fast food Italian. They are definitely not using Nonna's old original recipes. L'Oca Giuliva is here in the tourist trap area of Seville to do just that. TRAP you into paying absolute crazy high prices then having the nerve upon checkout with the credit card reader to ask for a tip to be added to your tab. Come on. This is Spain. Tipping culture doesn't work like that. It is not a requirement!!! We leave a few Euros IF we feel service/food/experience was exceptional. Our experience was none of these. We shared a few dishes to get our hands on their best dishes. The Mortadella Pistachio Pizza was outstanding. Fiordilatte, pistachio cream, bologna mortadella, provolone and ricotta. We balanced out the pizza, with the Natural Salad, young sprouts, Burgos cheese, blueberries, raisins, almonds, pistachios, sunflower seeds. Make a Resy, get there early, and enjoy a nice walk to and from your hotel.

It was a beautiful combination of tender moist chicken and quinoa and garbanzo beans and greens with a yummy pesto dressing. Everything was so fresh. The pesto dressing was delicious and not overly salted like so many restaurants tend to do these days. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and accommodating. This cafe is clean and comfortable. It was the perfect spot to reenergize and have a fresh and delicious lunch. They have other offerings that look so good as well.
