Solid five stars place for tapas and drinks. Service was great. Ambiance was quite cozy and relaxing. Highly recommended Mamaracha Tapas to other Yelpers out there in the area. Make reservation in advanced if possible OR arrive early to put your name down for dinner right when it is opened. Overall, pleasantly splendid experience.

Make reservations! If no reservation, go early to get bar seats or put names on the board. Great tapas - good portions for the price and you get to try various thing. Ceviche was very fresh and tasty. Also love the black rice and scallop. Service was good too. And cost environment to hangout. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and ambiance. A modern Spanish tapas restaurant with some beautiful dishes and flavors. Was lucky to pop in early in their dinner service on a Monday night and got a table without a reservation nor a wait (it filled up completely in the next 30 minutes). The ambiance is intimate, with the tables close together, with nice lighting, but not too close or dim that it make it hard to maneuver or read the menu, which was a nice balance to strike. It has an upscale feel, and the food definitely felt that way. Every dish was beautifully constructed; even the side salad I ordered was gorgeously composed. All the flavors, especially all the sauces were super-delicious and had subtlety. I think my only nit is that the side salad was over-dressed, leaving maybe 1-2 spoonfuls of oil at the bottom; I don't know if I'm just unaccustomed to Spanish ways of making salads, or if this was a mistake, or just how they do, but I do regret not sending that salad back to be redone. Anyway, I think my favorite dish was the roasted artichoke drizzled with truffle egg yolk, with a few small slices of cured ham on top. Such a fabulous combination! The ceviche's "passion tiger milk" was basically passion fruit juice with some sort of extra citrus component and a spicy jalopeno kick to it, which I had never had before, and was delicious. The pork sirloin's sauce was sublime; I don't know what was in it, but I loved it. Bathrooms: Two single-occupancy in the back, spacious, and clean.

Fabulous meal! It is hard to pick a favorite. We got the pork, salmon sashimi, meatballs, burrata salad and grilled veggies. We loved everything we ordered. The restaurant is small but very cozy and the service was wonderful. My husband got two cocktails that were delicious and I loved my wine. I do recommend making a reservation to make sure you can get in!

Delicious food and drinks, great service, beautiful/relaxing ambiance!! Best dining experience I've had in the city so far

Mellow lawyered aubergine with honey-miso, yogurt and bonito flakes

We selected this restaurant for dinner based on the yelp high rating of 4+. The service is good, and the drinks were good (Spicy Margarita and Otherside cocktails). However, I found the food to be hit and miss. We liked the Thai salmon ceviche and the grilled artichoke with truffle yolk and jamon. The calamari and avocado taco needed salt and acid. I also found the aubergine with bonito flakes very confusing.

Arrived at 8pm on a Friday. Kitchen opens 8:30. They'd start seating before the kitchen opens so people can start reviewing menus and placing orders right at official kitchen opening. Seating filled up very quickly, within 20 min of us arriving the entire restaurant was packed. By the time we left there was also a queue outside the restaurant. Beetroot salad: pros- not too salty, nice nuttiness imparted by pistachios and tartness mixed with the beets. Cons: very liberal addition of goat cheese. The flavor of the goat cheese was overpowering. Iberico pork sirloin: flavors were good, but not good enough that it stood out. Portion was also pretty small. From pics you can see it was a thin, small slice of meat. I would have paid more for a larger portion. Sweet potato with sea salt and butter: tasted exactly how it sounds. A simple but tasty side. Corn with kimchi and lime: I think this was a misleading maybe lost-in-translation issue, as the "kimchi" ended up being Japanese sansho pepper seasoning and diced green onions sprinkled on top of roasted corn. Because of this reason, the side felt a bit underwhelming since I expected Korean kimchi (spicy pickled napa cabbage). A nice touch was the test tube "shots" of liquor they served at the end of the meal--I think ours that night was a limoncello of sorts, can't recall exactly. A sweet way to cap off a meal. I have to say the items were ordered ended up being on the small side--as we were eating and noticing the portion size of the ribs at a few tables surrounding us, those looked like a hearty portion and smelled delicious. If I were in Seville again, I would try those as well as the Thai or seasonal mussels which looked good also.

The iberico pork sirloin is FANTASTIC. If you want to really appreciate the full mouth-feel of great pork, this is the dish to get. It was full of umami and depth, that I closed my eyes with each bite to savor the flavors. The other dishes were great as well. Mamarracha served up the plumpest and biggest padron peppers. The sweet potato side is scrumptious - they charred it to fully coax out the sweet flavor. The corn with kimchi slaw was delicious. Tip: Yelp says Mamarracha opens at 12:30, but the bar actually opens at 1 and the kitchen at 1:30.

Knowing we were going to eat a lot during a food tour, we settled on some small tapas (ham, cheese, bread, and olives) and got some sangria and a beer. We sat at the bar and I was able to practice my Spanish with the bartender. The ham was a generous portion and I loved watching them cut it behind the bar! Very fun and old establishment-y vibes. I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

There was a show going on when we arrived around 10:50, so the main entrance was closed off, but we went through the side entrance and ordered drinks at the bar. I got a small glass of the orange wine, since I heard that was the specialty in Sevilla and wanted to try it. It was a sweeter wine but had a slightly bitter after taste. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.
