He asked very rude strange questions. As soon as we sat down to look around in a room, the salesman very rudely asked us if we just came in to " lounge around on our chairs." Told us "We couldn't afford anything." Even worst he called me an A hole when I asked if he "was having a bad day." His guy must not be making very many sales because all my friends and their wives that went into the store just moments before we did, told us the a similar story. Sad because we all got great pieces just down the road not from this place. We go to the north shore 2-4 times per year and were previous customers. We will never be returning. Sad to see bad sales people like that.

What a cool gallery!…read more Honestly, what drew me into this joint was the photo cutout stand by the entrance of the gallery! I guess you can say I'm a sucka for a funny photo op.! Anyways, after having my friend take a few photo's of me (I actually took 2 different photos) as the cutout stand was double sided, and you could take a photo on either side, I decided to walk around the gallery to look at the beautiful artwork. It appears that a lot of the artwork hangin' on the walls were photographic printwork and I must say the pictures were very impressive. I also liked the ukulele display mounted on the wall, as I recently contemplated on taking up ukulele one day when I have more free time for myself. Regardless, if you're planning on buying (the stuff here is rather pricey), or if you're like me who just wandered in here unexpected, and decided to look around & appreciate the beautiful artwork here....................... I was sold a few defective Heather Brown frames (online order and pickup). Once arriving home, I noticed the difference against my other Heather Brown frames. When I went to exchange them they accused me of intentionally damaging them myself (and claimed I kept them in high heat when my house and car are air conditioned). I am not alone in my experience here. They refused the return so now I'm stuck with the defective frames they sold me.

Excited to find a filler for my living room wall, I made my way to Haleiwa to hit some galleries. I…read morealready hit some before I got to Wyland because I figured I may go with a piece from this gallery. Both sales women were helpful and attentive. We considered 3 different originals and had them put them into the viewing room to see them in different lighting. When we found out that it would take 2 months to receive the order, we then considered a Sumi-E, because they told me Wyland is currently on island and can paint it for us while he is here. We thought okay, let's see. They provided a catalog that showed the various marine animal options. To keep my 3 year old occupied, they pulled out crayons and a Wyland coloring book for her to bury her head in. Between each option, they gave us a break where they left my wife and I some time to talk things over and look at other options. In the end, we chose an original from his abstract work. I asked what the name of the abstract was, I was given a price, then when it came time to pay, we were given a price around $500 more than what we were originally told. I went ahead and paid for the order and we were sent on our way, along with the coloring book that they gave to my daughter. Curious about the big purchase I just made, I Googled the name of the painting and was directed to the Wyland Gallery. At first, I thought, "Hmm.. Did they give me the wrong name?" Because the painting that came up wasn't the one I ordered. However, Next in line in Google results was the one I ordered. Clicked on it and it brought me to the Wyland website and it showed the original price they quoted us in the gallery. I returned to the gallery and asked about the difference and showed them what showed on the Wyland website. Long story short, there were two paintings with very similar names. There was a one word difference, one was $500 more. The one they charged me for was $500 more and the incorrect painting. I'm marking them down for this mistake because had I not done my due diligence, I would have received the wrong painting 2 months later. They apologized and thanked me for catching this mistake. I thank them as well for helping me through it and am happy with the overall experience. However, I just couldn't forgive the mistake and award 5 stars simply because this isn't a $25 meal or $250 service. More attention to detail must be paid. The similiar names in paintings that caused the mix up didn't make things easy, but reviewing the name and visually looking at the painting and price should have been done.

Thankfully you'll still be able to find their items at Little Plumeria Farms or online but browsing here has always been a pleasure as Clark Little Gallery art is always so vibrant and stunning. The molecules of your body are the same molecules that make up this station, and the nebula outside, that burn inside the stars themselves. We are starstuff. We are the universe made manifest, trying to figure itself out. And as we have both learned, sometimes the universe requires a change of perspective. A Distant Star - Babylon 5 Sand. Molten glass comes from sand. I was fascinated by the flame. The woman in the window formed fine lines and curves from a blob of molten glass with fire. I speculated on what form the glass would take. A dolphin I think... It's nice seeing art being made. I remember when I was a kid seeing artists painting at the park, the beach, or the bay. At Seaworld I thrilled at seeing divers searching for pearls at the bottom of the sandy pool. Nowadays food is the only thing I get to watch being made... There are many beautiful things in this place. I brought home a glass dolphin created by the woman in the window. The dolphin was clear, cold, smooth, with sweeping curves in contrast to the Manzanita stand which was dark, warm, and held rich details. All the artworks were made by local artists. I was inspired walking about seeing the paintings and sculptures. Perhaps one day the images in my mind will manifest into something beautiful...

I was so appreciative that she took the time to talk to us because I feel so often at galleries like families with small children are seen as inconveniences. It's unfortunate because art and creativity should be accessible to people of all ages! Anyway, we browsed the different pieces and I settled on a $20 print of a painting of an unconventionally beautiful Hawaiian woman holding a mango in her hands while standing beneath a mango tree. I would definitely encourage folks to check out this gallery with their diverse art work by local and international artists, accommodating staff, and cool laid-back vibe.

And of course vintage Hawaiian prints for both men and women looking for a shirt or dress. I especially liked the gift items. The purses and jewelry are so unique and beautiful.
