Ugh. My friend booked our room here because it's close to the Aztec Stadium for the Raiders v…read more Patriot's game. The hotel looks nice and the staff were friendly as well, but if you stayed more than a night, you'll notice some flaws.
First, we came in late in the evening, hungry and tired so we ate dinner at their buffet. The food was okay, but not worth $20 US per person!
I ordered Juevos Rancheros in the morning, and was dismayed to see how horribly executed it was. (See photo) It was also the worst tasting Juevos Rancheros I've ever had. So disappointing.
The beds looked nice, but they were stiff af and the pillows gave us cramps in our necks in the morning. The worst had to be the toilet. There was little to know pressure in its flush that the TP would just do circles in the bowl. We had to get a tech to come & plunge it nearly everyday & we ended up having to use the toilet downstairs in the lobby! We weren't the only ones with such luck. Our friends staying in other rooms reported the same complaints.
There aren't many options for eateries nearby either. There is a shopping mall next door, but who wants to eat at Chili's or a food court with int'l fast food when in Mexico City?! Instead, we found an awesome taqueria 5-10 mins away on foot. If I come back for another game, I'd rather stay near the Zocalo or in Coyoacán and Uber my way down to Estadio Azteca for it, than stay at this hotel or anywhere near it again.
