And clearly states on the order that I get the sauce and nacho cheese

Normally wouldn't leave a review anywhere. Butttt the lady tonight really irked my nerves. I ordered the $9 discovery luxe box. Subbed the cinnamon twist for the chips and cheese for .49 cents more. Keep in mind the grilled cheese burrito thing already comes with the chipotle sauce. I ask for my nacho cheese because it wasn't in the box and she kept insisting I ordered the wrong sauce. Anytime I order chips and cheese 7/10 , I'm not getting the cheese. But tonight I made a point to check it and she still didn't give it to me (: that's all. A girl just wants her cheese

The drink options are also pretty slim but I go for the food, so that didn't bother me. The lady at the window taking our order was extremely friendly. She answered our newbie questions. I asked about the size of the quesadillas, which come in "gringa" and "minigringa" size. The menu isn't terribly descriptive but I was comfortable asking about items. The gringa quesadilla was served open faced and it had cheese, pork, onions and cilantro. My daughter and I flipped it over to make a traditional (is that a thing?) quesadilla, but not before squeezing some lime on the contents. The tacos were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We squeezed lime over these, also. They were a smidge on the dry side but were served with green and red salsa that definitely helped to moisten them. A word of caution: the green salsa is really spicy! I thought the red salsa would have been spicier but I was wrong. Both had a great taste. My daughter and I both decided that the tacos were good and the quesadilla was even better. To repeat, the food was delicious and fresh, and that along with the service and value ($3 tacos are a good price these days), we will be repeat customers.

It's a food truck so I waited in my car and it came out fast. I would go back but I would ask them to put more beans in it next time. I also asked them if it came with tomatoes and then they forgot the tomatoes. I guess that's my fault for not checking before I drove off. They give you a red and a green sauce and I thought they were both really spicy so just taste them first.

The creamy green salsa in the squeeze bottle was delicious and super spicy which I love! Honestly it was the best thing of all. The salsa served complimentary with chips was very plain tomatillos sauce. The side of refried beans tasted like canned to me and the birria tacos ($18 for 4 with ample sauce) just were not the best. I'll go back and try something else next time. The waitress was great. I do realize it's hard to compare 98% of authentic Mexican restaurants to my F go-to authentic restaurant La Mexicana (with a market in front) which closed down on Siegan a couple months ago. I went there for at least 7 years on the regular and let me tell you.. the dishes were amazing and even their refried beans & rice at La Mexicana tasted like they were cooked completely from scratch .. like a true home cooked taste by a talented cook and I keep trying new places out looking for my new favorite.

Not even 5 minutes later one of those blue roadside food signs showed me there was an Uno Dos Tacos on the next exit. I love trying restaurants we don't have at home (Houston) when I'm vacationing, but that's often hard to find when you just need a quick meal grab in a drive thru so you can quickly get back on the highway. I feel like I manifested this. There were so many options on their menu that looked good that it makes me sad we don't have one closer so I can try all the things. I just ordered the el classico tacos, crunchy with sour cream. I also got rice and beans. My husband ordered a steak quesadilla. Both the ground beef and steak were great. It was really flavorful, and I was very impressed for a fast-food restaurant. I wasn't crazy about the refried beans as they were pretty bland but the rice was good! It was about $25 for our order. I was satisfied when I was done eating but my husband was still hungry. The quesadilla is good, but it is also small, so I'd probably recommend you order something else to help fill you up. I'd absolutely stop here to get my taco fix again if I was passing through the area.

However, the food fell incredibly flat. The taco styles err on the side of traditional offerings, but did not taste anything like I would imagine them to taste. The carne asada was bland and the chicken wings were Smokey, but lacked salt so difficult to taste. The rice and beans were the best thing on the table. The chimmichurri was the most disappointing by far, tasting almost like it had mayo in it. The other thing that was odd to me is that apart from their house made hot sauce (which is more like a veg blend) they did not offer any house made salsa verdes/picantes or topping for the tacos. For $12-$15, a plate with two tacos is steep, considering there are no sides of accompaniments. I will however say that the food was incredibly fresh and of good quality. The tortillas were excellent, however fell apart due to the moisture and weight of the toppings. Maybe doubling them would improve the product. Service was also excellent. Good came out quickly and the cashier and cooks were amazing at answering our questions and offering suggestions. The place was nearly full, so that says something about their following. I really miss the previous Venezuelan restaurant that was here before. Their food was top notch!

Immediately upon walking in, I loved all of the colors and the vibes of this Mexican restaurant. When you sit down, they bring chips and salsa to your table. I wasn't a huge fan of the salsa or the chips. The chips had some seasoning on them and to me, it didn't mix well with the salsa. The salsa was really thin, and I prefer a chunky salsa with a salted thick chip lol. I was feeling adventurous and got the French toast on the brunch menu. It was delicious! The berry compote and the two different syrups paired really well with it. The bacon that it came with was perfection. I ate every last bite. I did have a bite of my friends tacos, and they were good but on smaller side in my opinion. Our waitress was great and there were plenty of tvs to watch while we waited. This is definitely Tex-Mex rather than traditional Mexican, but it hits the spot if that's what you're craving. The real standout is the decor and ambiance, especially after renovating and expanding. It's a fantastic space to hang out and chitchat with friends over dinner. The service has always been great and efficient for me. I can't remember the server I often got - maybe Joshua? Their yearly Cinco de Mayo party is also always fun and a vibe! Overall, still a solid spot in Baton Rouge for Tex-Mex and close to LSU campus.
