When I saw that Pauly was coming I couldn't believe it , but in my excitement I booked the wrong day. However the amazing staff rebooked Frank B to the correct day, THANK YOU! Don't was day of show and I showed early, they placed me dead center about 6ft from the man himself.... Ordered a tasty beverage from the bar and appetizer per the contract of the ticket... Now the food wasn't bad so if you're hungry make sure you grab a bite. The stage is very small but who cares it's enough for the comedian to pass around. Everything is perfect for the stage view whether you're up front or at the bar... I had a blast and will be back for a chuckle soon.. read more

My boyfriend has never been to a comedy show before and I wanted to get him tickets to see a comedian that he has been following on social media for a while: JR De Guzman! I was a bit nervous with some of the recent negative reviews but I'm happy to say that I didn't have a bad experience at the Tacoma Comedy Club at all! When we entered, we were greeted by staff who explained how everything worked which I appreciated as they do mention the same information online but it is a good refresher. We were also given a card with our seat numbers on it which was interesting as I thought it was a first come first serve situation. They were doing happy hour when we arrived and we decided to get their 2 for $15 appetizers which we got the boneless wings with lemon pepper and pretzel bites with cheese. Happy hour orders do not count for their two item minimum, but we're fine with that as we arrived pretty early as we were pretty hungry. The food didn't take too long to arrive and it was delicious. I'm not really into boneless chicken as I just have had some bad ones but the ones here are tender and juicy and the lemon pepper rub was great! I'm sad that the veggies don't come with the happy hour order and I also was told that they don't come with veggies by the cashier, which was odd. The pretzel bites were also really good and the cheese dip that came with it was fantastic! As others arrived an employee asked us for the card and escorted us to our table, however as he was explaining the rules it was extremely hard to hear him due to the music. I do think they should turn it down a little or speak up as I didn't catch a single thing he said. I did have one issue as both the people we were seated with and the people in front of us were talking a lot and we didn't know how to let someone know as they were talking every so often during the show. But I didn't know how to report that, especially if they are sitting right behind us. Anyways, for our two item minimum I got the Cinderella and lemonade while my boyfriend got the lavender lemonade spritz and the dessert pretzels. The drinks were made to perfection and the flavors all shined through. The dessert pretzels were pretty good too! I also love that at the end, you can meet with the comedian and take a picture as I was not aware they offered that, so that was a nice surprise. Awesome first experience here! The food was really good, the wait staff was quick to serve, and the venue was clean. We ordered: mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites (my personal fav), chicken bacon salad, taco salad, and nachos. Arrive closer to when doors open to get a "better" seat, but also with the small room there doesn't seem to be a bad seat. The tables are a little small and tight, but they work fine. We don't live in the area, but will definitely come again when we are back in town. read more

This was my first time going to a comedy club and I couldn't have picked a better spot! I came to Tacoma Comedy Club for a girls night on a Saturday and we had an absolute blast. We saw Funny Marco perform and he did not disappoint--hilarious from start to finish! The crowd was lively, the energy was great, and the timing of the show was well organized. I ordered the pretzel bites (yum--soft, warm, and salty perfection) and treated myself to two Bahama Mama cocktails, which were sweet, strong, and totally hit the spot. Overall, it was a fantastic night filled with nonstop laughs, good vibes, and tasty drinks. I'll definitely be back for another show soon! read more

Went on a Saturday night for Margaret Cho's standup. The space is big and open, with tables arranged to give everyone a clear view of the stage. We got a few beers on tap and the bacon cheese fries, highly recommend! The portion is huge, perfect for 2-3 people to share. I love that there's plenty of nearby (paid) parking in the area. I like the overall layout of this comedy club. You'll get a pretty good view of the center stage and the comedian(s) wherever you're seated. I would have hoped for the drinks to be better. They were pretty watered down. Maybe a safe option for next time would be a beer or a soda. Food is okay. There are some healthier choices like salads and a hummus dip but we went for the nachos (and asked to have it without beef, and by the way they have impossible patty as an alternative). The workers specifically Logan are incredibly rude. They stuff 6 people in a small 4 pub table and when I politely asked to change seating to be more comfortable, for my group of 3. I was met with attitude and hostility. This was my first time going and will be my last. I'm just so disappointed that the staff has implicit bias that automatically made me be seen as hostile, when I was making a simple request. Please see the photo attached. I wasn't able to access the table all night, had to hold my coat and my purse in my lap the entire show, so that that 5 other people was able to eat their food on the table and not have to put it on the ground. First of all, we did not get to choose where we wanted to sit. We wanted the back, so my friend could easily get to the bathroom during the show if she needed without being hackled. Second, 2 of the 4 meals were incorrect. They were not fixed, nor was the bill adjusted for what we did not receive. In addition, we asked for refills on our beverages and none were given. To top off the whole undesirable experience, we were all charged an 18% gratuity automatically! I don't think that is legal. Visited family after moving, never came here for some reason, horrible service. Everyone got dessert and finished it before we even got our food, when we sat before a ton of people and they still took our order after them. Got a coke that looked sipped out of, dirty straw. Brought it to someone's attention and we were more of an inconvenience than anything. Waitress forgot about us. Had to flag them down. Also training a ton of new waitresses on a Friday night?? If you are saying going to open at 5pm, then do it. 5:45 on a Friday night and you are still doing Mic checks and making people wait. And some guy is pretending to be T-Pain. Not sure why that is needed for a Comedy show. I really appreciate the owner responding soo quickly but I think you misunderstood. Yes, we came early for the Happy Hour but could not even enter the club till 6pm so missed your Happy Hour completely because your doorman said you were doing sound checks. We have seen Jeff now three times over 18 years about in Tacoma and Seattle. Every time has been great hence our return visits. From the first to the last minute he delivers while engaging the crowd of all backgrounds you know if you see him. He does NOT have to laugh at his own jokes like some comedians; rather audience does and he moves on and quickly. All new jokes too, not one repeat . But when ALL 100 % Of audience Rolls OVER LAUGHING, you know and so does he that it's a great night! Amazing last night in Tacoma Wa at Tacoma Comedy Central was all three acts were 100% funny. All means all. Middle gent Chris Bowers was super too! Unlike opening acts often suck frankly, the one opening was a 10 too but sorry to forget his name and hope some comment adds it! Thanks Jeff for coming back home too. The service was FAST: 6:02 pm waiter come, we ordered and he put on portable tablet, and 8 minutes later bacon cheeseburgers and drinks delivered. Had tickets to see Patrick Warburton on June 29th (Sunday). My friend has sickle cell anemia. Doors were said to open at 6 (show at 7) and we arrived at 6:20 to a long line. We stood in the sun for a while, and my friend complained about the heat, and tried to go in and explain her condition. They sent her back out with water and wouldn't let her wait inside. I asked if she wanted to leave, but we waited it out, as the line was moving, though slowly. After being outside for 45 minutes we made it into the lobby just after 7. My friend started speaking strangely and promptly passed out. Several people in line with some medical experience helped her. I had no experience with sickle cell anemia and assisted to make sure she was ok. My friend would later tell me she hadn't passed out since she was a child, and hadn't expected to be waiting in the sun that long (doors were supposed to open at 6). An ambulance was called and the staff at the club only showed up to route people around us. When she came to, she spoke with the ambulance and explained that she felt better, had some water, and was now in the AC so it was fine. They cleared her after calling a doctor at the hospital to explain the sickle cell anemia and having been out in the heat for nearly an hour. She hadn't been drinking or taken anything that would impact her. When we went to go inside, we were told that I could enter, but she couldn't. No explanation outside of "No, you passed out." She explained her condition, pointed out that she'd tried to wait inside earlier, and they'd denied her, and that doors were to open at 6 and we didn't get into the air conditioned lobby until 7:10. Nope. Dismissed. I am very grateful to the other attendees that assisted. At no point did the Tacoma Comedy Club staff check in, or help at all. They didn't allow my friend to wait inside until I came through in line, or let us in or even give more then a sentence explanation once inside. They also mentioned there'd be no refund, though I didn't ask, and my upset here is more at their dismissive response to my friends health condition and her medical emergency after their misleading 'doors open at 6' and lack of assistance whatsoever. I emailed them the following day asking about this and telling them they owed an apology to her. No response nearly a week later. I guess don't have a medical condition that means standing in the sun for an hour is bad if you want to go here. Though even then we timed it so we'd be there after doors opened, but they weren't. I won't be going back. That's just sh** behavior. read more

The acoustics are terrible and there are posts in the way of viewing if you get stuck behind them but overall, I recommend this venue. I loved Trae Crowder so if they can get good acts in, it's worth going. I could not understand the opening acts because of the acoustics but Trae speaks louder and bit clearer. I still missed some of his jokes! Really, if they fix the sound, it will be really great in there. Don't forget each person has to buy 2 items from their menu... that was a surprise but the food and drinks were decent. Be sure and get your tickets directly from the venue. I was able to order my tickets online and it was one of the easiest things to do online. When arrived it was set up nicely! I enjoyed myself! The service was pretty slow but to be expected with a show. I enjoyed myself and with the family! I would for sure come back! To see some other comedians! Nice step. Courteous and efficient service (our waiter was superb). Arrived fairly early and got excellent seats, but it appeared most seats had a good view of the stage. Not being rich, and being married long enough I don't need to impress my bride with extravagant gestures, we got the basic (paper) level package. Last time we had a bad experience, I spoke to one of the higher ups who promised me free tickets and a gift card, of course he never followed through (shocker). This time we came an hour early and didn't get our food until an hour after the show started. Then they hold your credit card hostage until AFTER the show is over. We were sitting there and the entire club was cleared out besides our table because we were waiting for our bill. Seriously insane. Always a great time, great service and good company! And they truly have some of the best comedians come through here! We've been coming here a few years, we drive from Silverdale, totally worth it! We've come with family or just us 2 and sat with strangers and had the best time! It's bar food, so if you're dieting, eat before, they do have some salads though and the hummus veggie plate, which is delicious! I can tell you the food is good, the bacon cheese fries, wings, burgers, we've had almost all of it and never disappointed. Also decent drinks! My boyfriend and I visited here to see Brendan schaub's weekend night show. We were really pleased with our experience here. It was organized really well and easy to get seated down which we liked. The club is alot more spacious than we expected. There is a ton of parking options around the club. The service was fast and very quiet during the show, so it didnt distract us at all which was great. Great drink options. My only complaints would be that my bacon cheddar fries were very stiff and cold, which made them unenjoyable. Also where I was seated I was slightly blocked. I think that was more because of the couple who pushed there seats closer instead of leaving it where the club placed them. We went to a show last night. The club was very nice looking perfect size very clean. Bartender was friendly there was a good drink selection. Prices were reasonable.I watched a 90 min show and I ordered a drink and cake at the beginning of the show.... I didn't get a drink till an hour later. When I did get the drink. The Drink it was the complete wrong one I walked to the bar to swap it out and the female waitress rudely shooed me to my seat asked what I wanted then never brought me drink. 10 minutes later the male waiter noticed and I told him I hadn't received my first drink and it's been over an hour he quickly got me my drink. He then checked on us few times during the show. The ice cream and lava cake was like. Little Debbie's cake the ice cream was frozen so hard like. Puck i couldn't cut it . The were completely out of fried pickles.
