A few years ago, a friend of mine was roofied at the bar and followed into the restroom by the person responsible. Thankfully, we were able to intervene and get him out safely. On another visit, I was harassed in the same restroom some dude looked over my shoulder while I was using it, commenting on the size of my person. These kinds of incidents aren't isolated; most people I've talked to who've come here on club nights have shared similarly unpleasant experiences. Alternatively, the karaoke nights are hosted by the vibrant and talented young woman who keeps the room alive. The mixed drinks expectingly pricey but decent. Review of Club Silverstone - July 2025 I'm writing this as both a warning and a call for accountability. On July 8, 2025, I was physically shoved out of Club Silverstone by the General Manager, Matthew Fields -- even after I calmly asked not to be touched. I had not been formally banned. In fact, I had been allowed into the club on July 4 and 5, with staff scanning my ID and serving me drinks. No one told me otherwise until that night. When I asked why I was being removed, I was told that I had "bad-mouthed" the manager in a private group chat and that he knew I had previously reported him to the Liquor Board -- which I had, months earlier, for failing to protect me after a serious safety incident involving another patron. His response? Retaliation. Instead of handling concerns professionally, I was blamed for what happened to me, told that my assault was my "own fault," and physically removed after daring to report misconduct. That is not safe, not legal, and not okay. This wasn't about club policy. This was personal retaliation. And I now have a police report, a formal complaint with the WSLCB, and a public voice to say: Believe women. Hold power accountable. I used to go here a LOT in my 20s. Tonight was my first time back in like... 8 or 9 years. It has changed so much!!! They got rid of the pool table and a bunch of the seating near the bar. So now there are 2 dance floors and different music at each. We were in the main one for nostalgia sake. The DJ repeated a few songs which felt unnecessary (it's 2024, there are so many good dance songs) but we survived and had a blast. My drink was garbage. And small. Only one had one. There is a new security protocol I don't recall before. It's super serious. But at least we're safe...? After checking out The Mix for a few beers I ended my night over here at this club and ended up there around like 2000-2100 it wasn't packed for a Friday but I saw it got busier for sure once it hit about 2200. I of course read all these negative reviews about this place just like The Mix but wanted to see for myself. The club itself was pretty big in size I thought compared to the other spot I visited and the DJ was playing good music which I enjoyed. I did see the older bartender people talked about lol again maybe I just got lucky that night with my experience but he was pretty nice but def a slow bartender. They had about 4-5 security guards up at the top of the stairs and they didn't give me any issues but I did get power trip vibes from most of them. You can't F up a draft beer so I can't comment on how they pour drinks but all in all this place seemed like a fun spot to be at if I had a group of people. We waited in line for 30 minutes because the place full of basic Becky's with the not that bad, but not good hair was/does get packed... There was a cover charge ($5 to $10) and a lot of too drunk or borderline about to get too sloshed types that got in right away... oh I'm sorry I'm not a size 32 or 4 with killer piercing eyes and the depth of a kiddy pool... but I am a really nice, chill (sometimes sassy from this rant) and patient person... We descend the staircase (huge) into lavish hot messery (underground nuance speakeasy set up)... figure let's get a drink... bartender refused to serve us because we weren't "in a line"... like in what world is a cluster of people at a bar on all sides any kind of line... we figured we paid to get in why not dance at least... so we go to the dance floor... literally labeled dance floor via giant tinted glass door... I can't! We submerge into the smokey den... of at least 100 people all jammed inside around the dj booth danced for 2 songs and had to leave due to a lack of room to move and the humidity building per beat as well as more bodies entering the room. I've never had a more laughable experience and on my birthday... I'm sorry, but next please... the entire staff was rude. If you are into dive bars that are outdated then you have found the place. It is down a,long flight of stairs and the Friday night I went must have been and off night as it was pretty empty. So my friends and I left Keys on Main because we wanted to get a little ratchet. So one of my friends said trust me I know a place and surly enough he truly did! I Had so much fun also had no clue it was a gay bar till we got into the dancing section. The club is split in to a club and a regular bar. So you can listen to music and still be able to talk where the bar is and they have a pool table and pull tabs. Then you can walk into this door and that's where all the dancing takes place! I was reading on some of the reviews that the drinks were strong. I don't know if it's actually at the bar top that they make the drinks strong or what... but inside the dance section they had a little drink stand where you can buy cocktails and water and all that and I took a couple shot and shared my friends drink and I did not feel tipsy at all! I found this place when I moved to Tacoma about 2 years ago. During the day its really mellow with regular LGBT patrons while on Friday and Saturday nights people of many different backgrounds come to have a good time and let loose, especially a lot of the college kids that don't want to drive up to the clubs in Seattle. Out of all the bars I've been to in Tacoma, this is where I have the most fun. It does tend to get crowded on the weekend , probably because there aren't many dance clubs in Tacoma. But if you get there at a decent time you can get in a few drinks (reasonably priced I might add) and find a spot on the dance floor before people start flooding in. Just don't leave your drinks alone or with anyone you don't know, its common sense in any club. Depending on when you show up on the weekend the door charge can be from $5-$10. The door guys and bartenders are typically pretty friendly and on point. Although it is Tacoma so from time to time you see them having to deal with some pretty ratchet or unruly characters. So to make it easier on yourself don't try to act a fool and ruin your night. Its a fun environment and everyone likes to keep it that way! I think what I am missing here is the big town weirdness that you get in gay bars. This place was alright. It was hopping and crowded! It seemed more like your small town or college town gay bar which is ok but it was missing a quirkiness. They have a dance floor but it is small and it is easy for it to get overcrowded on a Saturday which might push you back into the main bar room. I love to people watch at gay bars but it just was not the right place. I guess you have to go to Seattle for that. I've never in my life written a review for an establishment before. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The service was horrendous, the security and bartenders were rude as hell and would ask someone what they want, make the drink (which took forever,) then went to ask the other person what they want so he could make their drink instead of just asking what everyone in the party wants. Which made the lines take 15 minutes just to get to the bar when they weren't even long. First red flag was that they told my friend that every time she wanted a drink that our whole group (3 people) would have to go to the bar and show our ID's because "the city is watching us closely." Second red flag was that they metal detected us with a wand after we came back in from smoking. I asked him why and he said "because things have happened here before and just want to keep everyone safe." 3rd red flag was they told us the first game of pool was free. But when I asked to get the balls out of the table to bring back to the bar, the security guard said I had to pay to get the balls out. I explained that I was getting the balls to return to the bar because I needed my ID back. He still told me I had to pay to get the balls out in a very condescending tone. We don't carry cash so we had the idea of just adding it to our tab and him giving us the money to get the balls out to bring back. He said he couldn't do that and there's an atm over there. The fact that you have to pay a cover to get into this establishment is insane. The dance floor is very small. The bartenders are incredibly rude and slow. I have never seen bartenders have the luxury of only having to serve people standing in a single line at the bar. That being said, they still don't move with any sense of urgency or care for their job. The DJ was not even worth mentioning. The bar could have just played a pandora station and it probably would have been better, or at least saved them money. The only reasons this place got 2 stars is due to the hotdog stand out front and the fact that they kept the club clean. The bussers/back backs were honestly the only polite staff and they were hustling on the floor. This review is after visiting this club twice. Both times were equally disappointing. This bar used to be a fun place to go casual drinking with a nice dancefloor now it's run by this security who are very unprofessional.They so way to much as far as making people remove their glasses for I'd checks full metal detector and pat downs and they go through all bags/wallets.There is a 40 minute wait to get in and that's including re entry.There is a $15 cover charge which is higher then anywhere I've ever been for a small crowded bar with no fans,it's hot in there and YOU ARE NOT ALLOUD TO STAND,if you are standing it's either in line for the bar or the bathroom I was informed by the unprofessional security.I was using the restroom with my partner and finished first to wait for my partner and the security asked me why I was standing and I explained myself for him to ask me if I wanted to wait outside because there's no standing.we pay to get in here. read more

If I could give this club negative stars I would. I can't believe that this is an establishment that is allowed to be open. The bartender is 80+ years old, the rudest man we've ever met, and slow as a turtle. We witnessed him arguing with customers before we even got up to the bar. When he ran my boyfriends card, for some reason, it didn't go through and he made a remark about us not having the money for our tab. What was supposed to be a $20 tab (2 drinks) ended up being an $80 tab after he ran the card four times.
