We were in need of a notary on a Saturday, and the MHVFCU was the first bank of five that we called that had a real human being answer the phone (off to a good start). They had a notary available (and were open til 2 pm on Saturdays), and not only is the notary's services free for members, but it's also free for non-members! If you're keeping track, that means it's free for everybody. We walked in and the friendly tellers let us know we'd be waiting for Linda in the back, but to help ourselves to a seat and a cup of coffee. For the record, that's nicer than most of my relatives treat me. We waited for a few minutes, and then Linda turned out to be even nicer than the other employees, as well as the branch manager and probably in the top three notaries I've dealt with in my lifetime. You know what? She's #1! I just decided. The only downside of MHVFCU is that I am a bit frightened of the other clientele.
