Stopped in here on my road trip from New Mexico to Kansas and it was delicious. Mexican places are known for large portions and Tacos El Pastorcito was no exception. Although after 7 hours in the car I devoured the whole thing. The salsa that comes with the chili rellenos was SO good. The heat was just right and the flavor took the meal to the next level. Should have ordered one of their margaritas but the modelo draft was icing on top of the cake. They also have a taco truck affiliated with the restaurant in the parking lot if you are in a bind for time. I probably won't ever be back in Liberal but if I am, you will find me at that taco truck. read more

Has very nice interior. Good and affordable pricing. The wait was extremely long and there was a weird smell inside. I got the hawaiian burger... it was disgusting and the patty was burnt and hard. My sister had the chicken alfredo it was very oily and it smelt like literal vomit. read more

Ate there once on a trip through town. All the food we had was good, but the bar was closed, so no margaritas.

On our way to Santa Fe, and we stopped here for lunch. Is there a six-star rating (?)...because this place was FANTASTIC! Enchiladas (3 of them...cheese, chicken, shredded beef) were hot, fresh, had a great red sauce over it and they did not skimp on the meat! YUM! Rice was the best Mexican rice I've ever had...moist and good flavor...beans had great consistency, were flavorful and hot. A side of avocado (slices, I chose) was plentiful, and the salsa and chips to start had great flavor and just the right amount of salt on the chips. Hubby got the flautas...shredded beef was nicely flavored and shredded well. Even the bathrooms....spotless! Unfortunately, we don't get to Liberal often at all (was actually my first time), but if we ever drive back through, we are stopping here again! Very, very highly recommended! read more

There seems to be some confusion about this place. It is a food truck (trailer) behind a parking lot. They don't serve beer. The food was pretty good. I got two different kind of tacos. There were lime wedges provided with the tacos , but they were dried out and provided no juice. I got some chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were fresh and crisp. HOLY S***. No lie, the tacos are amazing. I've had the chicken and steak tacos (I haven't gotten to anything else because the tacos are so damn good.) and they are just SO GOOD. I've only been here a month or so and I've been here half a dozen times. Already craving this place. I should cave and try something new, but then I'd miss out on the tacos! Both the beef and chicken are perfectly seasoned. The first time I got these I only got 2 and couldn't eat them fast enough they were that good. The slice of lime really makes them pop. We got a bunch of $1 barbacoa street tacos. The barbacoa was seasoned so perfectly. I get similar delicious tacos in KC for $2 a piece. This is such good deal! We also got a torta which was the best torta I've ever had. Crispy bread, perfect barbacoa and all the fixins. The super nachos with pork were also good, but I will stick with the tacos and torta. This is a very popular food truck/sonic type place. Be prepared for a crowd if you go during lunch or dinner hour. read more

I LOVE THIS TACO TRUCK. I get the barbacoa tacos every single time, they're great, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I don't live in Liberal or in Kansas at that but every time I come here, they are my first stop and last stop. LITERALLY. But although they are great, I have some complains. I've always received fast and great customer service, till I came recently. 11/16/18 - They took 10 mins to come and ask for my order. Took them about 20 mins to bring me my order. 4 tacos usually take like 10 mins to make. She also tried to charge me for a sauce I always get for free. I also asked the lady who was taking my order if she can open a bottle of soda for me, she said "okay be right back" & ended up not coming back until my order was done. Now honestly I was extremely thirsty so that was annoying. I also went the following day, 11/17/18 (i told you i love their tacos) & I was waiting in the lot for about 10 mins until I decided to go up to the truck myself, I mean about 5 cars that came after me got their orders taken, people even going up to her cutting me so that got me upset. I love this taco truck but they need to get their ordering situation more settled. The parking lot is EXTREMELY TIGHT AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT YOUR SPOT. Maybe fix the lot, & get a little bit better customer service. The lady that always helps us wasn't there or we know she would've taken care of us instantly.
