I had a taste for Mexican and this place seemed like a quick stop. Walked up easily to order, and the cashier was more than helpful. Being vegetarian I order the vegetarian rice and chicken, which tasted amazing. I took it to go but next time I am staying there and grabbing a drink too.

We've been here twice now, once when it was relatively new and another time with a discount offer. It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter and then pick it up when its ready. On my first visit, I tried the birria ramen (quite filling), and on the second, we had a chicken burrito and a fried avocado bowl. There's a little station with some salsa but the cups are tiny. All in all, quick, delicious and affordable.

The food was so delicious and fresh! They have so much to order on their menu. I can tell by how good my shrimp quesadilla was that I'll enjoy anything else there. They also serve beer, wine, and liquor. Their food and drinks are priced really well. Pick up and drive thru available and plenty of parking.

I arrived here around 7:07pm on a Saturday evening to get dinner. This is an old Wendy's and i learned about this place via Instagram. Order was placed at 7:13pm. I got the quesabirrias combo that comes with 2 tacos, rice, beans and a drink. I also got a rib eye asada taco. My date got a chicken quesadilla, loaded fries, and chips + queso. We also got drinks. I got a strawberry watermelon margarita and they got a mango passion margarita. The drinks were made and given quickly. Normally they are $8.99 but per the receipt, the margaritas were $3.99. We love a good special! I enjoyed my margarita. It has the right about of alcohol. I didn't like my date's mango passion margarita. To me, it tasted like the prescribed medicine you get when you're sick. To be fair, they didn't like my margarita lol. I guess we both chose the right one for us. My date said they wished they had mango by itself vs being paired with passion fruit. I got sugar rim but it honestly didn't matter because the cup was plastic vs glass. After placing the order, we were given a number and took a seat. We sat at the booths that were semi lit. We received l the food at 7:25pm which was quick. Food Quality: 3.5/5 -The beans were hot but the rice was lukewarm. The rib eye taco: Meat was DELICIOUS! Perfectly cooked. However, it was cool and barely warm. -Quesabirria tacos weren't bad. They tasted better with the consume. I've had quesabirria tacos that tasted great without the consume. -Quesadilla: My date said: "the size was great; for the price, it was really good" -Loaded fries: My date said: "the chicken was well seasoned" and the sauce on top was "good". Presentation: 4/5 -To my surprise, all the food was bagged up. I know I said for her. I asked the cashier and she confirmed I said for her. She apologized for the mix up. Since everything was boxed separately, it's hard to judge what the presentation would've been like had it been plated for here. After we opened everything, I noticed we were missing the chips for the queso. I showed receipt and got the chips. It came in a to-go bag. The cashier brought over a plate for us to put the chips on. My ride and beans were in the same container. I would've liked for it to be separate but it wasn't a big deal. Although the food was packed to go, it was packed fairly well. Service: 4/5 -Cashier was patient when ordering and provided some recommendations when asked as it was my our first time. She did apologize for mix up with take out vs dine in order. There were positive interactions with the other staff I interacted with. Ambiance & Cleanliness: 5/5 -My date said "the vibe in here is really nice" and I would agree. I liked the decor. From the inside, you wouldn't be able to tell it used to be a fast food restaurant. The restaurant was clean and tidy. They do have areas they are dimly lit and more intimate. To my surprise, they have a hockey table and gumball machine. Value for Money: 5/5 -My date said "we got good portions" and noted this food would've cost more else where. I would agree. With all the food plus the two drinks, it was about $53. -It seems they do have specials but they aren't posted. While it was a nice surprise that the margaritas were cheaper, it would be nice for specials to be visible. Overall Experience: 4/5 -The biggest issue was the mix up with to go vs dining in and the temperature of a few food items. Most of the food was delicious, staff were friendly, and the ambiance was fitting. I definitely would return! =25.5/30 5 star: 29-30 4 star: 24-28 3 star: 19-23 2 star: 14-18 1 star: 6-13

I highly recommend going on a Monday when you can get 1.99 margaritas. They tasted great for such a good price. The lady the counter was super nice and patient while we ordered. Great decor and fun vibe overall. Food was also very tasty. Tortillas were nice and fresh. We loved our tacos.

I visited when this first opened , they were ok but skimp on their portions for the price, I could go to a authentic Mexican restaurant and spend less and have leftovers.. I didn't spend my money there since. Fast forward to now my brother bought me some food so I was like why not try it again. I got the ribeye taco combo , simple. When I get it, for one the packaging was already slumped over and I know for a fact it wasn't due to driving, I literally live and work not far from there AT ALL, less than 6 mins. I was skeptical already because the packaging, I look at the food and one taco had a good amount of meat and I'm like oh they do better portions...nope. Looked at the other taco and it was completely empty, I can understand a slight bit might have been turned over due to the ride but you would have to speed a pretty decent amount and go over bumps and turns to do what the box looked like , so there's no way ALL the meat on the taco shifted that fast lmao . Anyways so I call the manager and told him, he said okay come in and ask for him , I told him I'll be there at 3. I'm there at 3:05 the latest and he's gone somehow . I speak to the short lady with brown hair and some blonde lady and they called the manager and starting speaking Spanish which I speak anyways so whatever lol but yea meanwhile while she's on the phone she's already picked up the tacos five times plus breathing on it ... she gets off the phone and says we can only replace the one taco because it shifted so I mean and honestly I don't know about yall but by this time two different people had touched the food and the food was cold by the time I could bring it back so I asked them to just politely make both, she looked like she was going to say no again until the other person that touched the food finally said something and just remade the tacos Honestly I would've refunded it but I didn't have my brother's card. The hassle just to have tacos remade didn't make sense .. anyways they were good but of course NEVER worth the price. I will NOT be back , not for the service and not for these pathetic portions lol and to the manager ... yea good job to the clean floors. Might want to clean the staff up next!

    "6oz" queso dip
    Daija A.

The food is great but it's giving false portion size for the cheese dip. I order a 6 oz queso and chips for $7 and it was half full. When I went back to let them know the employee informed me that was the portion size. Need to get smaller cups so people aren't questioning if they are actually getting what they are paying for. Not the first problem I've had regarding cheese dip... of all things...

This is such a fun new spot in Durham! I love that they had an included parking lot, and there was plenty of seating inside, but also a drive-through! The food was delicious- so far my favorite quesabirria in the triangle, and great margaritas for the price. Their salsa was very well made and the right level of spicy- would definitely go back

The wine list is broad and thoughtfully curated, with options that feel approachable whether you're a casual wine drinker or someone looking to try something new. The sommeliers were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us find something we loved. The space itself is adorable, with eclectic décor and cozy lighting that makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile. It's a great spot for conversation and a relaxed evening with friends. The only downside is that the space is fairly small, and I would have loved to see one or two more lower seating options for small groups rather than mostly high tops. That said, I could absolutely see us coming back for a pre- or post-theater glass of wine or an easy catch-up night.

The service is awesome--our server was super friendly and gave me a great drink recommendation when I wasn't sure what I wanted. It ended up being perfect. My friend and I shared a glass of the 2023 Cederberg Bukettraube (sweet white wine) and got the charcuterie board for one with the truffle salami. That board was so good--I can't stop thinking about it. The toasted baguette slices with truffle salami and mustard? Unreal. It was the perfect little snack to share. We also had the citrus lavender crème brûlée, which was surprisingly delicious. I don't usually go for crème brûlée, but this one was light, not overly sweet, and just had a really nice flavor. I've also tried their shepherd's pie before and loved it--wish it was still on the menu! The vibe inside is moody and cozy, and they've got a cute outdoor patio too. Overall, such a great spot. A little pricey, but I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking out Killer Queen.

There's an S-shaped bar along the right side as you walk in with a few smaller tables scattered to the left and ahead, but if you walk around the plantings, there are larger tables in the rear. We had reserved a place for eight, and they fit us in with plenty of room around as a buffer. Few other parties joined us back there, so it was very quiet and great for friends catching up. We tried several wines, but I was a bit shock ed that the list wasn't longer: three reds, three whites, a few rosés and sparkling offerings was all there were. The only Italian red was a blend, which was ok. 60% Sangiovese, it was ok, but I'd have loved a bold Tuscan red like a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo or a full-on Sangiovese. I ordered the wild mushroom flatbread and the pasta carbonara. the flatbread was delicious, and very filling. Half went home for a lunch treat the next day! The pasta was ok, but there weren't the flavors I was expecting. Hardly any meat was in the dish, and it was just a kinda "ok" creamy pasta dish. But the service and the atmosphere was amazing! It's funny - many in this group have met since and we always remark how other places have such a larger wine selection than this one that has "wine" in the name. Maybe they need to change the name if they aren't going to have a wider selection. Still a fun place, just done expect a lot of selection.

Five stars for Liberty & Plenty, a true gem that we didn't even plan on visiting. We were headed…read moredown the street to somewhere else, saw the sign, looked at each other and said, "Let's check this out" and I am so glad we followed that impulse because it turned into one of those stops that completely makes your afternoon. What was supposed to be a quick pop in turned into two full hours of socializing, tasting, talking and working our way through a lineup of spirits that dhows just how much care and craft is happening inside this place. I need to say, Stephanie is a darling. She's not a bartender. She's a proper mixologist, the kind of professional who knows her spirits, knows her history, knows how to read a customer, and somehow manages to be both entertaining and deeply knowledgeable at the same time. She walked us through their menu with the kind of confidence that makes you trust every recommendation, and every drink she made had that extra flourish that tells you she actually loves the work. It's rare to find someone who can make you laugh, teach you something, and hand you a drink that's better than what you expected all in the same moment, but she does it effortlessly. Somewhere between the rum and the vodka, we learned that they're gearing up for a big move to Wilson, expanding from two stills to a dozen, which is wild and honestly well deserved because the quality here is already top-tier and the idea of them scaling up that much is exciting. You can feel the ambition from the crew here, the sense that they're on the cusp of something bigger, and it made every sip feel like you're getting in on a story that's about to blow up. That said, I'm begging. Please, please, please, find a way to keep a tasting room in Durham. You're awesome, the vibe is awesome, the people are awesome, and this city needs places like this where you can wander in on a whim and end up staying for two hours because everything feels and tastes just right. Expansion is great, growth is great, Wilson is lucky to have you, but Durham will really miss you if you disappeared completely. Liberty & Plenty is the kind of spot you stumble into once and then start recommending to everyone you know. If you're anywhere nearby, go. And if Stephanie is behind the bar, settle in, because you're in very good hands. [Review 1073 of 2026 - 4782 in North Carolina - 26252 overall]

And, it truly lived up to the hype. One of the best we've ever had! I also tried two other cocktails made with their house-distilled rum and gin, and both were delicious and perfectly balanced. The seasonal menu is creative and reasonably priced, we were genuinely impressed. The ambiance is charming and cozy despite a bit warm inside (the AC was pretty weak), but quiet and tastefully decorated with velvet couches, exposed walls, vintage touches, and fresh flowers on each table. We had fun flipping through their amazing cocktail book collection on the shelf too. The bartenders were very friendly and offered us focaccia from Ninth Street Bakery to pair with our drinks for free, which was such a thoughtful and tasty addition. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are so happy to see a micro-distillery thriving in the heart of Durham. Can't wait to return for an official tour and to sample more of their spirits!
