Hector's Kitchen - Pork Belly Gordita. Delicious!

We felt right at home while also being clearly in a well curated and maintained restaurant. The food is outstanding! The first Amuse-Bouche course of Broccoli Soup was very tasty. Next we had the Tiradito, which was really good but a tad heavy on the sauce. I know it was supposed to be more of a soup and it was definitely good. The Pork Belly Gordita with Oaxacan Cheese was amazing. We also enjoyed Prawns in Mole Sauce with Cheese sprinkled on top, which was excellent. The House Made Pasta with Vegetables was delicious though again a little heavy on the sauce. The New York Strip was very good and cooked perfectly but a little fattier than I'm used from a New York cut. To end the evening, we had Churros with Caramel and Chocolate Sauces alongside a scoop of really good and creamy Vanilla Ice Cream on a bed of what seemed like refined Oreos. Everyone who greeted us and waited on us was super nice and attentive. This was one of the best meals we had in Punta Mita.

A delicious tequila spritz to start of our dinner, which was cool and refreshing for the warm night! The Gordita was a great bite that is able to be shared if you just want a bite. Textures meshed well together and the flavors complimented each other well. The star of the show is the short rib! Worth the splurge. Fell apart with one touch of the fork and it was paired with a light and creamy mushroom risotto. The service was impeccable and we were taken care of the whole night! The churros were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside complimented with a sweet vanilla ice cream.

    Ketsi - Guacamole with bacon

The…read morerestaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine and has the cutest centerpieces with mini sombreros. Since the service at the actual resort is impeccable, the same carries into the restaurant. Even though you are unfamiliar with the menu and its content, the waiters do a great job patiently explaining everything to you. For a family of 4, we were just looking for light lunch and ordered the guacamole with bacon as an appetizer and catch of the day (mahi mahi) tacos, carne asada, and tacos al pastor all to share. The guacamole was very fresh and they bring out the fresh ingredients and the morcajete (the lava rock bowl) to mix everything on the spot. The tacos and carne asada were also delicious! Not only was the presentation so nicely done so that you can tell you're eating at a nice restaurant inside a nice resort, but the dishes were also prepared very carefully with fresh ingredients. We left lunch feeling not too heavy as I tend to after eating Mexican food. Highly recommend the tacos! The only thing that bothered me were the black birds that kept encroaching and walking on top of neighboring tables. As someone who really doesn't like birds, i was very anxious about them the whole time I was eating. Though this is inevitable because the restaurant is half outdoors, I would have liked to eat my meal without worrying about them. However, this is easily avoidable if you sit towards the center of the restaurant instead of the tables along the outside. Overall, I highly recommend eating here if you're looking for a more casual place to enjoy Mexican cuisine!

Ordered off the menu to avoid hot plate Buffet, but had soggy "crispy" bacon. The worse part was the number of bees / wasps. After spending a few minutes guiding them away from my son and daughter with a waiter helping I asked to move tables. We did and they were just as bad there. We got the check and left 90% of our breakfast (no offer to cover all or part of the check). The previous night we ate there and the view was to die for! Amazing! The spice level on the food was far too much for my wife but the view made it worthwhile. Avoid for breakfast but take in the view in the evening! Hence two and not a single star.
