Hi! I'm considering getting a hand gun, but I have no idea what gun would be the best for me. If I took a class from you, do you provide "loaner" guns at the group? Thanks,…

Hi Shelley, We do bring a couple of guns to our classes that we share around and let people try. If you're interested, we have a Concealed Weapons Permit class coming up on March 7, 2020. This class is held at a gun shop/range (Ready Gunner in Orem)… Read more

I'd taken a total of three CCW classes over the past few years, and Aaron's at Utah CCW Carry was…read morethe best, hands down. Let me explain a little more about why I feel you should take your CCW training from Aaron. Point #1 - Location: I learned about Utah CCW Carry from Yelp. Registering and paying for the class is completed online on his excellent website. (More on that in a moment.) I took the class on Feb. 18, 2017, and received a text message from Aaron prior to the class as a reminder. The location is at Cuisine Unlimited Catering, a business owned by Aaron, and is very comfortable and well-appointed with a large projection screen. Point #2 - Easy Paperwork Processing: When I arrived, the CCW application and fingerprint card were given to me and were already filled out with the information I'd entered during the online registration process. All I needed to do was provide signatures, dates, and payment to Utah BCI (Bureau of Criminal Identification) for the application processing fee. Fingerprinting and pictures for the CCW photo ID are completed on-site. Aaron then submits all the paperwork to Utah BCI for you, which is wonderfully convenient. Point #3 - Quality of Presentation and Information: Aaron is extremely passionate about teaching this information, and makes sure that his clients understand the rules and responsibilities of being a CCW permit holder. He uses a combination of thoughtful presentation and occasional humor to reinforce comprehension of the material. He had answers for all the questions asked during the class, and provides links to all the materials as downloadable PDFs. Aaron's website also has excellent information for further research and updated information regarding CCW. The presentation was so good and enjoyable that the time passed very quickly. (Note: Leading up to and following the class, Aaron will send you email updates regarding any CCW information taken up by the Utah Legislature, which you can easily opt-out of if you wish. However, I highly recommend that--as a responsible CCW permit holder--you stay current with the ever-changing laws. Aaron's emails make that very easy.) Point #4 - Pizza Provided: On top of all the other points, Aaron provides both pizza and beverages during the class. Free pizza. FREE! In conclusion, I feel like I've been given the information necessary to be a responsible CCW permit holder. As I mentioned, this was my third CCW class. The first two classes weren't nearly as enjoyable as Aaron's, and the first class required that I handle all my own paperwork and had to be manually filled out with pen and paper. The second class required attendants to do their own fingerprints and unfortunately, I messed mine up. Aaron has someone there to help you get your fingerprints completed accurately. So basically, the other two classes left too much to chance and made it more difficult to complete the process. It was simply easier to retake the class process at Utah CCW Carry and they ensure it's done right, complete with a few laughs...and pizza.

I took this class earlier this year and Aaron was a great instructor, making the class very…read moreinteresting and informative. He is obviously very passionate about firearms and making sure that those who wish to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights are armed with the knowledge they need to navigate Utah's laws. Aaron is also an FFL and I have used his FFL services. For those who are interested in conceal carry should definitely consider taking Aaron's class.
