Terrible experience here. We had a complicated situation that we needed help with. The first lady to help us answered all our questions and did the best she could to direct us. When we returned, the two ladies to help us seemed so angry and upset for no apparent reason and made the situation more difficult than it had to be. It seems like the process is just paper work and protocol, not sure why these women were getting so worked up. Their personal issues made it difficult for them to accomplish the task at hand and get our situation resolved. Left more confused because of it! read more

I had an extremely complicated and difficult process of purchasing and titling a car with components of the transaction crossing several state lines. The tag office wasn't really the problem though. Each of the several times I dropped in, I got a personalized greeting asking me what I needed, took a ticket, and waited only a few minutes before getting an explanation of what the problem was. For me, the issue was that Georgia has a state auto insurance database that my insurer failed to register me in, and by state law they will not accept any other proof of insurance. This is a bugaboo for new residents in the region to beware of, but again the law is not the office's fault. When I was finally able to get everything licensed, I had no difficulty ordering my specialty plate, and got instructions on a tricky envelope that they say makes it easy to throw away part of your registration by accident. So while I am not a fan of Georgia's insurance database (or its substantial ad valorem tax), from a customer service perspective, this outlet did a pretty good job, and my plate came within the timeframe they said it would. read more

Would leave ZERO stars if I could. I'm questioning what the education level is to work here and if any customer service training is given ? We were told to pay $700 out of our own pocket on the title tax on a lease, but we had the paperwork proving the dealership had in fact paid it. The rude condescending lady at the counter called the lady at the dealership "dumb" saying they didn't pay enough etc. We needed our tag, so we paid the amount she claimed was owing as she indicated we would get that amount back from our dealership. Here we are 7 weeks later still waiting for our REFUND from the tag office because the lady at the counter was wrong and we had overpaid. ZERO STARS ! read more

Love the customer service here. They do practice CDC covid 19 protocol so mask are required and 6ft distance is required to go inside. Not too busy and they have also offer a drive through window for anything that won't take a long time. Recommend if you need to be in and out and have a busy schedule. read more

GA DEPT. of Veterans service website CLEARLY states that the only thing you must do to get a Veteran/Reservist Tag is bring a copy of your DD214 and fill out a MV-9W form. Did both just to be told I need a document signed by the commander and what unit i was attached to. Don't see why this was needed but I provided a statement of service with BOTH of those things. The lady at the desk seemed to have an attitude and walked away to get someone else to tell me the same thing she had just said.. was told this wasn't enough and paid $20 for a registration fee which should have been free. i'm very upset but hey, "thank you for your service, right?" read more

I didn't know this place really existed until I was looking around and saw that it was here. When it was time for me to renew my tag I knew I was coming here because here you don't have to go through metal detectors, be searched, or empty your handbags out. You just come in and take a number and they call you back instantly if they aren't handling other customers. This process was so quick, I swear I was out the door in 5 mins. The lady that was helping me was so friendly and had a great attitude. When you are done with your transaction, they had a touchpad there to rate the staff member who help you service to you from 1 to 5. She instantly got a 5 from me and I was out the door with the new 2017 tag in tow!!! I like the fact that these government places are realizing that there needs to be more place where you can handle your business quickly and efficiently. This place has a drive-thru so that's even better, it's like you are getting a burger and fries handling your business!!! read more

As positive an experience as you could get for waiting on car registration. The first time I went to the office near the DMV in south Augusta only to wait an hour and then find out I needed additional materials. Much less of a wait here! The lady I spoke with at the south Augusta location recommended coming here. Very nice people! read more

Website says it opens at 8 am, however, the door on the building says 8:30. It is extremely inconvenient when you have to be at work and are counting on the hours listed to be correct. It would be great if they could match the hours listed. read more
