My husband and I did a couple Michelin restaurants in…read moreIstanbul including Turk Fatih Tutak and Sankai but I must say Pera Antakya was certainly our top pick in its category even next to our Michelin experiences. It was our most memorable experience given the food was just so authentic and good. We were pleasantly surprised because I had found Pera Antakya in my research when planning our trip and it was first on our list to try, we then discovered when we arrived at our hotel (The Westist) on our first night that Pera Antakya was right next door. We were shocked/surprised/thrilled all at the same time. As such, we had dinner here the first night we arrived in Istanbul and was blown away. We did the meze, the wrap, farmer's cheese, and the mixed grill plate all based on recommendations from who we believe was the owner. The hospitality was lovely, welcoming, but more so the food was incredibly memorable and we found ourselves wishing we had more time in Istanbul so we could come back and eat at Pera Antakya. We did a couple other highly rated restaurants in similar concept to Pera Antakya over the week we stayed in Istanbul and ultimately though food in Istanbul is generally good, we found Pera was still the best we had out of all them in the same category. In fact, if it was only one restaurant we could go back to and have another meal at or if I could only recommend one restaurant to eat at while you're in Istanbul--- it would be Pera Antakya. We were that impressed with this place. Do not miss it if you're in Istanbul!

We got the mezze plate with 8 different mezzes---the spicy yogurt was our favorite and it's very spicy. The bread they use is excellent, has some red spice on it that we all loved. For dinner got the lamb shish which was excellent, and the pera antakia kebab which was also very good. All around great, highly recommend

My best friend and I came here for dinner at about 930 so it was quiet, not too busy & obviously dark out which made the night view stand out. The view of the Bosphorus and city lights were astounding. The food is incredibly delicious.. The service from our waiter and his assistant were great.. Esmet, be sure to request him. Ohhhhh and the local wine is to die for and very reasonably priced I must note. It can be hard to find amazing places to eat when traveling, and you might not know where to look. As a helper, noticing the lack of yelp review Cierra I'm here to help as well,.. Soo behold. You have found a great spot here.. We started off with the Kibbeh, tzatziki, & the Turkish pizza lahmacum. All were amazingly delicious. *The lahmacun pizza had wonderfully thin crust, delicious, fresh meat with a great balance of seasonings. It was served with fresh parsley, fresh lettuce, and fresh onion, lemon and mint. Highly recommend adding those fresh ingredients to a slice, rolling it up, squeezing lemon on it and enjoying. My friends win for this round. * The kibbeh ! My personal favorite during the appetizer round. It has amazing authentic Middle Eastern style seasonings. instead of pinenuts, they use walnuts and I am a fan! I love pinenuts in my kibbeh, but the walnut was great to try to have something different. And well done. I highly recommend eating it with the tzatziki sauce. * the tzatziki sauce: it's definitely a lot quiet Lebanese style that I'm used to, but it's still delicious and does the job well. It's a little thick, my friend said it reminds him of Labne. Still delicious. ENTREES Andres, we ordered the pistachio kebab and the yogurt kebab. Wow! their kebabs are all beef & lamb, minus for 1 exception, the beef shish-kabob for those who don't like beef. Of course there's always chicken. * Yogurt Kebab: This is MY new FAVORITE Turkish Dish. I've never went to look for a Turkish food in the United States, where I live. But now I'm going to specifically go look for this dish.. I've seen it on a few different restaurant menus, so I'm assuming it's a pretty traditional dish. It this Amazing yogurt and tomato sauce, with flatbread underneath soaking up sauce making it full of flavor. * the pistachio kebab: MY friend loved both just the same, he said) this one was delicious , cooked well, a nice bbq touch to the outside of the meat, don't want to say crisp, but something like it that's incredible. The pistachio in it added a wonderful flavor & texture. * both are served with rice

Once seated, appetizers came right away: hummus, bread, pide, olives, and aubergine. For the main entree, there was this fall of the bone chicken with rice. It was a flashy eventful entrance for the chickens. They took out a cart that had three covered plates, lit it up, and then took down the covers. I couldn't really see because I was a bit far. But was it was quite a show! Then WALA. There was chicken inside. This chicken. I don't know how they made it, I'm guess it's salted-baked chicken but it was the softest and most fall of the bone chicken I've eaten. We also got the A Meter Pasa Kebab. Meter stick kebab is the dish to order. You won't be disappointed. Everyone in my table was quite entertained. To be frank, it was my first time seeing a kebab this long. The meat was tender, crunchy, and juicy. It's fall of the bone yummy too! The bread at the bottom of the meat seeped up all the juice which made it 10x tastier. For deserts, I had Kunefe, a traditional Turkish dessert made-up of cheese and drizzled with syrup, and Turkish tea. It tasted a bit tangy due to the orange blossom added to the syrup. Overall, I highly recommend this place! I am a fan. I'm definitely eating here again when I go back to Istanbul.
