Great service, taste buds are blooming after the chicken wings and burger. Chinese chicken salad was great as well. Will be coming back

So we tried canceling and of course the mgr gave us this bs about "you should have paid for the insurance". Sorry Charlie. Didn't even offer a credit for future dates. I will never do business with these folks again. All u have do is look at previous yelp reviews w same issues w the same person. I would stay away from these folks. They took $1500 of our $$. Just my 2 cents! Back at Tim G. Folks dont drink the cool aid this guy is peddling. Definitely get the insurance if you book here because they definitely WONT work with you even if its an ACT OF GOD situation. This guy is trying to make it seem like it was just a simple snow day weekend. The fact is ALL hwy 80 was closed, hwy 50 closed the majority of the time. All the lifts were closed (but according to mr Tim the lower lifts were open and everyone had such a nice SNOW DAY! Go back and look at the news articles and see the facts for yourself. Tim here is gonna reply w some sugar on top to refute my comments. Again go google lake tahoe for the weekend of 03/01/24 and see all the weather reports for yourself! Bottom line is these folks wont work with you so get the insurance. Tim no need to reply cuz everyone can see through your business only approach!

The microwave and oven no longer have any legible markings for the buttons and knobs, the kitchen pans/utensils are very cheap and hard to cook with, the bathrooms have no towel hooks, and the arrangement of the rooms/kitchen is awkward. This is our second time staying here and I'm not sure we will be coming back. It is also priced higher due to location to the Heavenly gondola, but other than location convenience there are better condo deals in the area with more upgraded features for around the same price.

The location was easy to find and it's close to shopping, restaurants and casinos, in case you want to pull a few handles. There is parking on site but not quite enough for all of the people staying there. The lobby is a very comfortable place to hang out. Fresh fruit, bottled water and fresh brewed coffee is available, too. Just remember to close the outside doors on your way in or out. There are curious black bears nearby who visit occasionally.

Patrick is, without question, the best Casino Host and Player Development Manager we have ever worked with. He consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel valued, appreciated, and genuinely welcomed. Every interaction with him is professional, warm, and personal. Whenever we email to request a reservation, Patrick responds immediately and always asks if there is anything else he can do to make our trip special. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to guest service are truly exceptional. He has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. Bally's Lake Tahoe is our favorite casino destination, and Patrick is a huge reason why. He is the kind of employee who creates loyal customers and lasting relationships. Quite honestly, we would follow Patrick anywhere because of the outstanding level of service he provides. Bally's, please know what a treasure you have in Patrick. He represents the very best of hospitality, and my husband and I are incredibly grateful for everything he does to make our visits so memorable. Thank you, Patrick, for always making us feel so special!

An aging hotel that has been left to slowly fall apart…read more It's actually very sad to witness. In this massive property with over 400 rooms, you'll find outdated spaces, worn furniture, dark and dingy hallways, dirty windows, hard old towels, thin bedding, lumpy pillows, and beds on the firm side. Even the plants outside have stopped being watered and left to die. Ice machines are broken on multiple floors, so you end up wandering around to other floors in the hopes of one working. The indoor pool has a bit of a Hefner grotto vibe but is constantly packed with screaming kids. It's as if someone told management just to keep the lights on because nothing else matters. Prices swing wildly: sometimes just over $100, but on busy weekends they shoot past $600. Then they tack on a $27 nightly resort fee and another $20 for self parking. Truly delusional fees for what you get. I've stayed here several times only because the rooms are comped. I would never pay to sleep here. There are plenty of wonderful hotels, and even motels, in the area that don't charge bogus resort & parking fees. The online room photos are heavily filtered and don't match reality once you check in. A few positives: the rooms are spacious at over 400 sq ft, and some have minor upgrades like newer bathrooms. There's a Starbucks near the gaming floor, a spa and a few restaurants. I haven't tried them so no opinions there. Overall, this place desperately needs a facelift and real upgrades. Until then, the resort and parking fees should be eliminated. Bally's owners should know better.

Just book it, especially if you have fur babies!…read more My husband and I live in Reno and wanted to book an anniversary trip to Tahoe that we could take our senior Weimaraners. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

There's a mini fridge and Lavazza espresso machine and coffee pods. Heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seats, great shower pressure, and a bathtub with jets. Loved the touch with bath robes and slippers! They also have a rooftop bar with a direct view of the lake. One of the nights, there was a wedding and it was closed to hotel guests. The next day around 5:30pm there was live music- the duo was singing covers and taking requests. They were amazing! There was also complimentary charcuterie. Definitely a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Here are some other noteworthy amenities during our stay: Complimentary champagne from 3pm-10pm. Smores kits 6pm-10pm. Coffee, hot cocoa, tea, fresh apples in the lobby- and the best water from Tahoe. Free daily admission to the private Lakeside Beach. Heated pool and Jacuzzi. Fire pits. Even after we checked out, beach admission, parking and shuttle drives are still included for the whole day. Onsite restaurant, formerly known as Jimmy's which we didn't try. We stayed for a couple nights and wished we could stay longer. It was a stay that made us not want to leave the room and hotel! It was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return for many more firsts together.

This year, a sewer line in the lake broke meaning no running water. After several calls, Brandon had no alternative place for our family to stay. We ended up in a hotel with bags and boxes all around us. We paid for that experience on top of the house rental. He only returned our money for the house after several more phone calls and several more days. The agreed upon morning we left Tahoe and returned to the house to pick up the last of our belongings in the garage, he had his cleaning lady there on the phone to him telling us we had to leave. We told her she could start cleaning and that we would be out of there ASAP. But Brandon called my husband to tell him to hurry and get out. We were easily going to be out before the 11:00 deadline. Why be so unkind if the house had no running water and was unable to be used? RUN, do not walk away from Brandon. He is disreputable. As an update: Brandon messaged my husband to call me a liar about this review. (There were 5 adults on our trip who experienced this.) His unprofessionalism in texting us after what we went through because his feelings were hurt by reading an honest review, just makes my point even stronger. Second update: 8 days after getting home, Brandon is still calling me a liar. Please do read other recent reviews. One on Birdeye just 3 months ago, describes Brandon's response to renters in a situation they had no control of and his follow up contact after reading their reviews which was described as "aggressive and disrespectful." Brandon gets very few details right of this bigger picture he creates below 1. We were not met at the front door when we returned from our day around the lake. There was a team of Douglas county workers out back. They DID NOT say that the damage was solely due to lake levels and DID NOT say that it hadn't been repaired because of lake levels. They were concerned with fixing the line at all (although other properties were able to be fixed that DO NOT share this same wall) because the sea wall at this property was not built properly nor being repaired in the proper way, According to the professionals, the cost of doing it correctly was a point of contention. Douglas county couldn't cough up the ten grand and the owner wasn't either. The line would continue to break each time the waves got rough. One worker commented, "I can't believe they rented this place out." 2. We did not store ALL of our belongings in the garage. We spent 2 days cleaning out the house of 2/3 of our belongings which we crammed into 2 hotel rooms for 5 people. Only the things we couldn't fit stayed in the garage because we couldn't afford another room and Brandon was not interested in covering any of the costs of our move. As no one could use the property, this wasn't an inconvenience to anyone While my husband and I moved belongings and threw away the food and meals we had bought and prepared, my son used the wi-fi to take his online college course. The hotel only had an unsecure connection. We only left some supplements and medicine in the fridge until our departure day. We did not use the fridge other than storage. We had wanted to use the Marla Bay beach to at least be able to swim in the lake, but the codes were changed. My husband *had* asked to sit on the back porch, but everything was a negotiation (nothing was done with kindness) and the house was just a reminder of how awful the trip had turned out. We didn't do that either. 3. We DID NOT stay there for 5 uninterrupted nights before the line broke. It was 4 (details should be accurate) and included , as it has every year, cleaning bathrooms, dishes, utensils, and glasses. To think that including the cleaning deposit in the refund we waited 8 days for was some act of benevolence is laughable. 4. He did print my husband a check. I guess he can celebrate that truth. It was the day before we left and he had tried to postpone the meeting twice because he's busy. He threw an unfeeling "sorry" over his shoulder as my husband left. We cashed the check that day because of our experience. We have never been treated with the indifference that Brandon showed us. We have been staying in Tahoe for 20 years. Sixteen of those years were with other agencies. We know Tahoe is wonderful. We know what other agencies are capable of just as we now see what Brandon is capable of. I'm sure he'll send my husband another text. If Brandon had spent the time and energy to take care of his renters that he has spent responding to bad reviews, he may not get bad reviews. BTW. The helpful score below is from my friends who know me to tell the truth.

No room service, no daily maid service. Limited flexibility if for some reason there is a need to change rooms. I was informed that it was due in part to folks reserving the time share rooms. Valet parking can be slow if it is a busy time period. Pretty on par with many properties. People do smoke outside in the courtyard/by the gondolas and if your room is above you will get a bit smoked out. I noted that the property is right on highway 50 so there is quite a bit of through traffic; bicycle, vehicle and pedestrian. The rooms were clean and if one gets the full suite (kitchen, living and dining area) very spacious. Close to shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Overall, a nice place to stay. Just be aware that it is not (by design) a traditional hotel as I mentioned.

It's close to everything,…read moreincluding Heavenly Village, restaurants, shops, and the gondola, which makes it incredibly convenient and walkable. We typically stay at Edgewood when visiting South Lake Tahoe, but decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately, the stay got off to a rough start. We arrived around noon on Friday and were told our room was ready, even though official check-in is at 4 PM. When we went up, housekeeping was still cleaning and informed us it would be another 30 minutes. Later, the manager called to apologize and explained that we had been given the wrong room number. He asked for permission to have staff move our belongings to the correct room. While the apology was appreciated, it wasn't a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of the stay. There is no room service, despite having an onsite restaurant (Fire + Ice), which was disappointing after a long travel day. I also asked the front desk if they had honey so I could make green tea in our room and was told they didn't. For a Marriott property, that felt surprising and oddly basic. Housekeeping is not provided daily. There was no one to make the bed or tidy up during our stay. While we were told we could call if we needed anything, it still felt like a noticeable downgrade in service for a hotel at this price point. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the only complimentary item offered was a single homemade cookie, handed out individually. On Saturday, hot chocolate was available, but it was $5 per cup. Charging for hot water, cocoa powder, and a few marshmallows felt nickel-and-dimey, especially at a resort-style hotel. The biggest frustration, however, was the constant timeshare solicitation. Immediately after checking in, we were approached at the concierge desk and pitched a "promotion." We declined. Later that same day, we were approached again and declined once more. Then on Saturday evening at 7 PM, my personal cell phone rang with caller ID showing Marriott. It was the same person calling yet again to pitch the timeshare. While a gift card was offered, not everyone is interested in $200. Our vacation time is more valuable than sitting through a 90-minute sales presentation. After declining multiple times, the continued follow-up felt unprofessional. A clear "no" should be noted and respected. The room itself was nice. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living area, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The layout was functional for families, with two TVs and a sofa bed in the living room. However, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult, especially after long days out. There was a simple welcome note in the room, but no other welcome amenity. We weren't expecting much, just a small thoughtful touch. The property does offer an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, open from 8 AM to 10 PM, which is a nice amenity for families and for unwinding after a day out. Checkout is at 10 AM, which feels early. Many comparable hotels offer at least an 11 AM checkout. In our case, by Sunday morning we were so eager to leave due to the overall experience that we checked out at 8:00 AM. We genuinely couldn't wait to go. Overall, while the location and room layout are strong, the lack of basic hospitality, repeated sales pressure, limited housekeeping, and early missteps made this stay feel more transactional than relaxing. For the price and the Marriott name, I expected a far more polished experience. We would not choose to stay here again.
