All guests say the food was great and we had lots of guests to feed... food was ready on time, stayed stocked, and no one had a complaint! This was a feat for a kitchen keeping up with 400+ guests. Lisa Anne kept us on track through the night and made sure we followed our schedule best we could. We were able to use the venue for our engagement shoot and are SO HAPPY with the photos. If we had to do it all over again, we'd absolutely choose Mount Hope again. While the venue itself is pretty big, the parking is small in contrast. We had 400+ attendees and had to figure out our own shuttle and separate parking situation which was tough and posed various challenges, but turned out okay. They tell you that they are not responsible for your parking situation. This is on you which is fair!! Just a heads up that the parking is not really big so you need to think through that if you're having a big wedding. A few items of mine never turned up after... just a pointer to have everything on your list to be picked up by family after, even think of things you might be wearing in case you change, etc because there's a chance they won't be returned to you. That is on you. They did hold some things our groomsmen brought that were not on the list so it's possible, just do not expect it. Just keep this in mind because things slip your mind in the hectic day!

My husband, being the employee of said company throwing the dinner, was there before I was. When he picked the entree for each of us as requested upon entering, he noticed that there were no vegetarian choices in the list and asked if they could prepare something for me. With ease, they were able to make a pasta dish in a vegetarian style. Although this was highly appreciated, the best part was yet to come. When the soup was brought out, one of the staff members approached me before I had a bite to let me know there was shrimp in it and ask if I wanted them to remove the soup for me (which I did). They also let me know that they made a special salad for me without the prosciutto - even though I insisted that it was not necessary. The staff here was unbelievably attentive in every way. I would highly recommend them for any catering event!

When I saw someone walk by with a bowl of jambalaya, I asked where it was from and if it was spicy. The man told me no and pointed me in the direction of the blue truck. When I got to the window, I asked if the jambalaya was spicy, the man said "no, It is full of spice but not spicy, it is family friendly." I said "I am going to trust you cause I don't do spicy. I'm like the worst Indonesian person ever." We took our boat of jambalaya back to our booth and my husband and I dug in. Three bites in, he says "I'm surprised you're eating this, it's pretty spicy." As I wipe the sweat (possibly tears) from under my eyes, I say "I don't care, it's that good. But I don't know how kids can eat this. Family friendly is a lie!" The End. Would I dine or dash? Here's what we ordered and thought he about it: Appetizer - French toast - toddler loved it but not size not worth the price - Meat pies- 4 tiny meat pies, flavor ok but not worth the price -duck quesadilla - I knew it was questionable with paired with jack cheese but I wanted to give it a try. It was a soggy greasy mess. But th sauce was good. Entrees - Chicken and waffles - decent flavor nothing fancy just decent - Kids Seafood crepe - the sauce was great, try crepes were a bit different but good the only thing missing was THE SEAFOOD. Yep, probably had two shrimp the whole crepe and they were cut in half. - Kida chicken tenders - waaaay too hard for kids to eat. The chicken tasted like charred burnt chicken. Like the third maybe 2nd batch of chicken in hot grease that cooks too fast on the outside so it is much darker, harder, and burned than the first batch. I asked for something else because after trying a piece of thr crust, I knew the kids couldn't eat that. The chef refused to take it back or replace INSTEAD he gave extra...like seriously if I feel they couldn't eat the first WHY I WOULD I WANT MORE. Overall, likely not to return. I saw two other tables call server over with issue. One of the deconstructed seafood pivot. Expensive and a waste of money. It was 3 towers of French bread with shrimp in a cream sauce. I saw the waitress tell the guy that it was filled with shrimp in the middle. Well, he opened his up and it was nothing but dry bread. He was visibly pissed. I'm glad I didn't order the full entree seafood crepes but I would have been upset with the amount of seafood which was shrimp only in it.
