I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The service was great. The food was amazing and the decor/ambiance (on Friday) was for me. I can't wait to drive back to Baton Rouge to come back.

This place had such a fancy vibe. There was a dress code to get in, and when I see that I expect class and delicious appropriate food. Commanders palace does this to perfection in New Orleans. This place isn't bad. It's okay. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but the scallops I had weren't of a good texture . It was just ok. The celery root was also kinda meh, and there was barely any of it. I got served a towel at the start and everything looked lovely, the servers were commanders palace worthy. But everything else was just okay

Juban's presents a confident expression of elevated Cajun cuisine, long regarded as a local standard for refined regional dining. The kitchen leans into tradition with a polished hand, most memorably in a deep-fried soft shell crab that arrives as both spectacle and substance, crisp, delicate, and richly satisfying. Service is brisk and attentive without feeling hurried, and the dining room carries an unmistakably formal tone appropriate to its higher-end ambitions. On the evening of the visit, a live jazz band added a layer of atmosphere, enhancing the sense of occasion without defining it, while the overall experience remained anchored in well-executed food and composed hospitality.

Jubans is a staple in Baton Rouge. We took my mom here for her birthday. The fried green tomatoes are still really good. They're topped with a balsamic dressing that really adds to the flavor. The soft shell crab was fried perfectly and stuffed, but needed a bit more seasoning. The fish was also tasty but lacked seasoning. Service was exceptional and the place is always nice inside. It was a Sunday so there was also a live band.

First time a Jubans. My son and I had a long lunch brunch with my Aunt and Cousin reconnecting. Loved the piano bar and slow tunes. Just beautiful. Service was great! Loved our dishes. Some little hiccups like my Aunt getting the wrong salad with protein and my cousin getting the wrong dish. It happens. We all enjoyed our food. Next time there are several dishes I want to try.

My boyfriend and I went to this local restaurant on Sunday for brunch. The ambiance was charming , and the restaurant felt spacious with multiple dining rooms. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us promptly. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, which made for a relaxed experience. They also had a singer performing that day. We ordered different dishes. I had a crawfish hash with potatoes, eggs, and sauce, while he ordered the Chantilly waffle, which was topped with strawberries and blueberries, along with a side of candied bacon. He really enjoyed his meal. I enjoyed mine as well, though I think the potatoes would have been even better if I had ordered my eggs sunny-side up to create more sauce throughout the dish. That's more of a personal preference, as I usually prefer my eggs over hard. Overall, the experience was enjoyable . Our waiter wasn't particularly friendly, though she may have been very busy that day. I did have a few interactions with the bartender, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their wine selection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try something different for brunch or lunch.

Visited Juban's while on a trip to Baton Rouge. I have to say overall great experience. The decor inside is well thought out and very beautiful. Our server was very nice, and while it took a minute to get our food I have to say it was overall worth the wait. The Crab Lollipops were out of this world. The Louisiana Two Birds was delicious; but the show stopper was the Hallelujah Crab. This is clearly Jubans stand out dish and it was impeccable. If I ever find myself again in Baton Rouge I will certainly be returning to eat here.

My go-to birthday spot! I love coming here to celebrate my birthday -- it's always such a great experience! The food never misses; every meal I've had has been absolutely delicious. The place looks so cute since it's been remodeled, and the atmosphere makes it feel extra special. They even have a Photo Booth in the back, which I think is such a fun and unique touch. It's perfect for snapping a few pics after dinner!

My family and I went for Brunch Saturday. It was my daughter's birthday celebration. Santa came visit our table which was a nice surprise. He sang Happy Birthday to her. I finally tried the Boudin dip and the blue crab lollipops. The boudin dip was a little spicy. But both were delicious. I ordered a martini which was very good. I love a good lemon martini. I had the Redfish Adrain with lump crab meat over grits. It was ok. My daughter ordered the lobster two way but our waiter came back and was sorry to say it's only for dinner so she ordered the Hallelujah Crab which we all had before and is still my favorite there. The stuffing is delicious. We loved the jazz band playing. Our waiter brought her a box of 2 chocolates for her birthday. Also there is a Photo Booth in the back by the restrooms. It's $5.00 for 2. Which was nice to go do after brunch.

Such a cute spot! The servers are amazing. The food was also very good! It was very nice but not too rich which I loved! Smaller portion sizes so I'd recommend getting an appetizer!

Juban's has everything to offer! Ambience, delectable choices and outstanding service! An extensive menu provides many options. Of course, you don't want to miss out on the hallelujah crab which they are known for! Parking is available.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The place is fancy and everyone is formally dressed. The server was very polite. Nice decorations and dining seats with soft music at the background. We ordered the crab beignets, Redfish Adrian, Ora king salmon and Shrimp with fried eggplant pasta. The redfish Adrian was flavorless. The other two were good. We waited about half an hour for our desserts. As dessert we ordered the bread pudding which was very dry and hard. We couldn't eat it. The chocolate mousse was delicious and the strawberry cake was ok.

Juban's has great food, excellent service and a nice ambiance. We had a group of 12 and a private room for a work dinner. Our server was amazing. He was friendly, listened well, made good suggestions, and provided wonderful service. The food was excellent as well. We had several appetizers, main dishes and desserts. I ordered the Hallelujah Crab. It is a fried soft-shell crab, seafood stuffing, Creolaise, tartar mashed potatoes - served with hands raised. It was really good. I highly recommend Juban's. If we return to the area, we will definitely eat here again.

This space seems quite versatile, our group used the round tables with nice table cloths and folding chairs to enjoy a potluck and then hold a meeting. The space could be kept entirely open, used for talks or lectures, or ay sort of party. There are overhead doors on one wall that presumably could be opened for an indoor/outdoor event. Circa 1857 has such a great location on Government Street right be the Garden District, that it would be a convenient place to have a meeting or event. The owner is very sweet and you can tell she truly wants to provide a unique event space at a reasonable price. Another thing I loved about The Guru was being able to bring in your own food. It was hard for me to find a venue that let me bring my own food but also had the right #aesthetic lol! I didn't even decorate the place because it already done. They provided me with the tables (high top, circle, & rectangle), chairs, and even have linens available. There are 2 bathrooms and a back room where you can have your food/buffet set up. They even have this really awesome bar cart that my bartender was able to use! It can double for a beverage/food station too. (You know I added plenty of pics :P ) This is an extra bonus but I recently learned they also can host meetings, interview recordings, and more so it's not just for parties or weddings. On top of that, learning that the owner works to give back to the community/non profits is heartwarming. If you need an intimate, "not too big but just right" space, give this place a look!

I arrived late, did not have a team, and was standing alone in the corner trying to be unobtrusive. There was a small stage with a folding table where the quiz host was asking questions. Between questions, music would play while people wrote down answers, and I was singing along quietly. Staff told me to move away from the stage, and I did. Then they told me I was not allowed to sing along with the songs between questions and called it disruptive. The situation escalated from there. The context matters. This was a bar that does karaoke regularly, and there was already a loud song playing between quiz questions while people were writing down answers. I was singing along to music that was already in the room, not trying to interrupt the quiz or perform over anyone. I also stood as far away from the quiz participants as I could without going outside, and when I sang louder than softly, I turned toward the wall/corner because I was trying not to project into the room. Maybe the sound carried more than I realized, but my intention and my behavior were not careless or hostile. When I became visibly upset, they threatened to call the police if I did not leave immediately. I said I needed five minutes to gather myself and my belongings. They refused and told me I had to leave right then or they would call the cops. That is when I raised my voice. I understand venues have rules. But there is a big difference between enforcing rules and escalating an overwhelmed disabled customer who is trying to comply. This was humiliating and frightening, and I hope ownership takes disability awareness and de-escalation seriously.
