If you are looking for a Japanese restaurant in downtown Rio check this place out. They offer a full menu with sets (sushi/sashimi, yakisobas, udon and curry rice) plus they started offering a Kilo option. If you go for the kilo style, you can also ask the sushi man to cut salmon or tuna sashimi for you to add to your dish. Many people come in for the kilo.
Everytime I go, I order the Executivo #1 set. It comes with two spring rolls (traditional veggie and a cheese), one yakitori, fried stringed tempura veggies (carrots, green beans and eggplant), sashimi & sushi plate. The sashimi sushi plate is usually a mix of salmon and tuna, but since I don't eat raw salmon, I always ask them to do a plate of only tuna. I feel like I am forgetting something from this set, but not sure....
Another option is the Tonkatsu teishoku, I also enjoy that one for a change up from the raw fish. Others have ordered their seafood mix and also their yakisobas. read more
