We had a wonderful time here. Our cabin was cozy, very clean and comfortable. The host Bill and the staff we interacted with were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. It's a super well run mom and pop operation. They picked us up from the train depot, gave excellent recommendations for places around town and were happy to help with any questions we had. Got off the train in Talkeetna, and Bill (the owner) was at the depot to pick us up. He showed us around town and gave us lots of info on places to see and go to. He then took us to one of the cabins and allowed us to check in early. The cabin was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The cabins are right off main street and close to all the restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again, Bill was an excellent host and takes pride in keeping the cabins in great shape! read more

My husband and I stayed for one night in a Talkeetna Cabin. It was cute and comfortable and right in the middle of town, so easy walking to anywhere. Downstairs there is a little seating area with a TV, a bathroom and a kitchen , complete with coffee supplies, and a loft bedroom upstairs. the cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and the coffee was good. Bill, the owner, picked us up from the station, gave us a little tour (including taking us to the observation deck of a bigger hotel from which we could see Mount Denali), and gave us general information and suggestions that we found useful. He also took us back to the station the next day. We were very happy with this place. read more

We (the family of 5) stayed here during a family vacation in August. Weather caused an abrupt change in our plans, so we let them know, with several days notice, that we wouldn't be using the room after our planned three day river trip. We requested to be relieved of the charges for the night, which we ultimately received, but not without a rather hostile email. I quote: "Luckily we rerented your cabin that you had booked on the Aug 16th. We refunded the amount to your credit card this morning. Maybe in the future you should read cancellation policies before you book cabins. Ours is clearly stated on our website." It wasn't the policy as much as the expressed attitude that I found to be offensive. read more

We stayed here for one night on our way to Denali. They are located very close to downtown and the main street which has all the cafes, restaurants and the pickup points. The cabins have parking spots too for someone driving here. The cabin was super comfortable, had all the amenities - Wi-Fi, cable, kitchen was fully stocked, fridge, microwave etc. The bedroom was on the second floor and they had extra sheets and quilts too. It also had a heater downstairs which was pretty effective in the cold damp weather. We had made the reservation on phone after talking to Bill, who is the owner of this place. Bill was very helpful and had left few books and information about the place in general on the counter for us. He also had left tea bags specially for us after learning that we preferred tea. Everything was so clean and nicely arranged. Service was excellent. Susan picked us up when we arrived at the train station from Anchorage. She even took us to a lookup point from where there were great views of the of valley. Also, we were given a ride back to the station. She also helped us in booking some yours there. Excellent stay and if we visit Talkateena again, we would stay here. read more

We had an excellent stay at the Talkeetna Cabins. The owners were so lovely and accommodating and all amenities were incredibly clean. Next level clean. They have cute cabins within walking distance of downtown Talkeetna and also one cabin a couple miles away. So if you have a rental car and don't mind a small drive, the single cabin is a great option. It is very private and cozy. But if you are one of the many who take the train to Talkeetna, the cabins in town are awesome. It's a family owned and operated business and they are meticulous about all that they do. They also know everyone and everything in Talkeetna and were super helpful with recommendations. read more
