If there could be zero that would be fair. Totally unresponsive the next day after move-in to concerns asking for help to clean the junk left from prior tenants. I was told by Danielle that I rented this place furnished with garbage. Try as I might watching prices soar I hoped to get a better response from the owner directly. But the owners were respectful to Tall Pines as their property managers unbeknownst to them the unit fell into more disrepair after Hurricane Ian. As I waited for six weeks after the storm to see who cared (tall pines or the owner) about my safety or the hurricane damaged condo I was dealing with, a frantic knock was at my door. Apparently it was a Tall Pine fellow renter and the handy man. Shocked when she told me Danielle was trying to get in touch with me. Instead of them driving over to see the condo, I do believe this unknown renter intended to have the handyman and her enter my unit if I wasn't home. How unethical and an invasion of privacy to ask a nobody to check on the unit that they are being paid to care for. Not only that my contact information has stayed exactly the same, it was the owner who called Tall Pines inquiring about the status of his property. In the meantime I'm paying for air scrubbers and commercial grade dehumidifiers to satisfy the workman. Up to just 2 months ago after I moved out the excessive number of workman coming and going with keys leaving the unit unlocked while I'm at my wits end living in only one third of this condo. Nine months later after the Category five hurricane Tall Pines Rentals not once surveyed the damage in the unit. But was happy to let me know the rent was going up???? When I moved out in May, I was excited to maybe see them on the final walk through, but I was told in an email it was customary for Tall Pines to do it after the tenant vacated . I was a good tenant for two years every month I paid the rent at the office mail slot, I had to stomach the filthy front door to Tall Pines Realty. Several months ago I had a long talk with Danielle directly about the disgusting front door. Her backside jumped at me putting a negative review. She was well aware that their post COVID front door is filled with dirty germs (note photo). I actually have 19 photos dated every month I paid my rent and the door has never been cleaned OMG. What's weird if they are selling themselves as property managers look at the photos of what I encountered with Danielle and Veronica at the helm. I have never come across gross negligence. As a side note: the owner asked me to check on his unit four weeks after I moved out. I was shocked to see the air conditioner not running inside temp stated 86* the thermostat was set at 73* not me I had it set at 78* when I moved. The water was turned off as well as two days later the power was turned off. Someone had pulled down the three containment walls (plastic curtain) all laying crumpled in a heap on the floor . This was not the way it was left at all. I shudder to think if I did not re-enter this unit at the owners request no doubt excessive mold damage inside would have occurred. I have nothing but positive for Tall Pines Realty it's good and very responsive. Stay away as your property managers. read more

ATTENTION!!! BEWARE OF SCAMMERS!!! My husband and I currently live in Illinois, but we want to sell our two properties here, and relocate to the warmer state of Florida. Our jobs allow us to work from everywhere. We decided that we want to rent for a year, and see how we going to like it, and which place in Florida would be more suitable for us to buy our own home. In the beginning, I was looking to rent a house, but then we decided we want a less complicated living situation, so I decided to go for a condo. I saw one that I liked on realtor.com, and I applied. There were several red flags though: First, the condo was too good to be so cheap compared to the other properties for rent. It was bait. Second, it took the people from this company quite some time until they finally told me it was time to pay the non-refundable application fees. Now I know why - they were waiting for more applicants to pay the fees. Third, despite I have an excellent credit history, perfect background, and income five times the rent of the property, I was still not a good candidate, so I offered to pay the rent for the whole year in advance plus two months of deposit. I kind of put them in a situation where they were out of excuses for why they wouldn't rent it to me, but listen to what I was told: "The overall picture was looking better for the other candidates", " The owner didn't want the whole year rent in advance", " My boss felt like she needed to go with the other candidates", "We try to avoid eviction" What???? That was really offensive. I have never been evicted in my whole life. I wanted to pay the whole year of rent plus two months of deposit plus a hundred other fees related to renting this property, and in the end, I was rejected and offended by these people. I didn't know it is so hard to rent a property, especially with this company. I can only compare the level of difficulty with running for senate. I am sure it would be easier if I was buying it instead of renting it. On the other hand, the level of incompetence of their associates was as low as it could be. They were supposed to send me an email with an attached application, but they sent me an empty email instead. They do not accept other forms of payment behind cash. They've never heard of quick pay. I read most of the feedback from other people, and some of them described a very similar situation with a very similar-looking property. I wish I had read the feedback for this company before I applied, so I would know they don't actually look for tenants. They look for applicants! read more

I cannot say enough about this office and its staff! Danielle managed my property for SEVEN years, and other than the rent checks coming in routinely, I hardly gave it a thought. She was always available to me if I had a question for her, she kept up on maintenance issues before they became problems, tenants turned over from time to time with barely a blip on my radar. When it was time to sell, another smooth transition, tenant and all. I recommend this office to anyone thinking of real estate. A+ read more

Been renting for 15 years and Tall Pines Realty is by far the worst we've ever experienced. There was a definite lack of communication from Tall Pines including the owners. Sent 10-15 emails, phone calls, voicemails, and a certified letter with no response. When I was able to contact them by phone, they offered no reason why they never contacted me. They waited til the last moment when payment was to ask for our social security numbers, knowing this requirement months ago. Also so many other issues, i.e. not listing the appropriate address for rent, not providing a signed rent agreement, misinformation about using the elevator, etc.) Not a reliable realtor. UPDATE: Owners have responded to our reviews by stating they are waiting to move forward with the lease. However the property is still being listed and we're still being requested to pay nearly 2 thousand dollars before she moves in, over a month away. I understand I don't work in this industry but I've definitely rented before and I don't believe I have a "misunderstanding of how the industry works"... again, don't use these people. Criminals. We used tall pines realty to get my mother into a rental after we moved her down from Michigan. Even though it wAs January we asked if she could sign the lease and move in March 1st and they said sure. Only to then charge her $175 bucks to apply and then tell her the next day her lease was done and if she didn't pay 2 thousand dollars they would put it back on the market and she was out that money and that even though she COULD NOT MOVE IN TILL AT LEAST MID FEBRUARY, she needed to pay the 2 grand as a security deposit early because the owners don't have any rent coming in.... when the unit can't be rented...they are unorganized con artists. Beware!!!! They make up charges to keep security deposits. In addition to a $125.00 prepaid cleaning fee, they charged additional $35.00 PLUS TAX for extraordinary cleaning. They are dishonest and should be avoided at all costs!!! Also after requesting to pick up the deposit return they instead chose to mail it certified and charged an additional $6.00 but no tax!! Well, when I left my review on Facebook they immediately took off the "leave a review" feature deleting mine and everyone else's reviews, so I'll leave it everywhere else instead. If they removed the feature then you know what I'm saying is true. To be honest my father just died, I was pregnant and trying to find a place to live asap because we were running very low on money due to my fathers passing. We REALLY wanted to live in the condo that was shown to us. It was perfect. We told DOTTY all about our hardships and how life has handed us lemons. She acted like we immediately got the condo. Like we were the best candidates and that if we gave her our background check money right away that we were all set. DOTTY knew immediately that she would not recommend this apartment to be rented out to us but so WILLINGLY took our 350 dollars (one weeks pay) for the background check. We never got a receipt so obviously they just pocketed the money... get real. I even asked for a receipt and she just looked at me like drool was about to drop from her lip. The condo was 1000 a month which was perfect for my mother and I given our salaries combined and having just found jobs because we moved to family's houses from New Hampshire. The next week DOTTY called me with a disgusting attitude to begin with and told me the best she could do was a house for 1400 dollars a month. She knew from the beginning that she was going to offer us a house out of our price range instead of what we went there for. That 350 meant no groceries for almost two weeks, just junk food to fill us up and a great amount of stress on myself being pregnant who by the way ended up needing an emergency c section. Oh yeah, the condo came entirely and perfectly furnished for only a one time fee of 800 dollars, I honestly think they use this condo as a "showing" condo just to take everybody's background check money. If you ever see a condo in front of a pool fully furnished, huge tv, purple master bedroom bathroom.... etc. picture of a puppy on the fridge, it's a scam. Also Dotty isn't even listed as a realtor on their website. On that note, I'd give them a zero but my lowest option is a one. I'm serious google "tall pines realty facebook reviews" it shows up but when you click the link it tells you the page has expired meaning they took the feature off of their Facebook page after all of the bad reviews. We rented a condo at Coral Landings through Tall Pines Realty. It was a nightmare from the very first day. There were many things wrong with the condo but we accepted them instead of complaining. 3 months before our lease was up the owners wanted to sell it. The realtors came in daily. Tall Pines was never there to show them so it was up to me since I felt my belongings were in jeopardy. When I left they kept $1600. deposit. An example is $45. to put in a lightbulb in a hallway that was out prior to our arrival. I showed Danielle but she said not to worry about it. They took pictures of the condo with my furnishings because it was in so much better condition than it was prior to my arrival. Mold in the bathroom which was actually discoloration since the tiles needed regrouting. The electric garage door wiring had been fixed with black electric tape but they replaced the electric lines at my expense. The doorbell never worked yet I had to pay for that too. The pool and spa was down for mechanical disorder or board of health due to feces detected. Do not do business with Tall Pines or even consider renting much less purchasing a condo at Coral Landings, Placida Florida. read more
