Wow... hate to say that I feel a little better from the other reviews here. I can't get customer service or the individuals I worked with to reply to an email and it's been a month. I was working with an organization who paid to have their event "featured" and then instead of using the organization's ticket link, someone there decided to put the unaffiliated venue's instead. No one will tell me how/why this happened or off any kind of refund or apology. I want to support local news but I will NOT be doing it here. Go to WFSU instead. read more

Same as others here. Did their free subscription to get access to a paywalled article. Of course it says "unsubscribe anytime." Then find out there is no way to unsub on their website account portal, which took me a frustrating time to figure out. I sent an email to subscriptions requesting unsub. I continued to be billed. They have a policy to refuse refunds. It's a scam. Fraud. Theft. These con artists are worse than the criminals they report about. Had to handle it through my credit card. The Democrat used to be a good newspaper but it's pitiful now. I registered to use the newspaper. My registration exists (according to them) but I can't sign in. I've written an email to ask about my registration but, as with the other people on this site, have been disappointed that no one replies. To make matters worse, I called their phone number to ask about billing. The recording referred me to another phone number but because it was stated only once and I wasn't expecting to be required to phone another number I don't remember what it was. I would call their number again to get that number but since their customer service is so poor I'm not sure that I want to try again. Who's managing this 'paper? Sophomore journalism majors? We cancelled our subscription over a year ago and found out they have been charging us for the paper when we do not get it for over a year. We have contacted the TD multiple times and they still have not credited our money and remedied our problem...mark worley in Tallahassee, Florida read more

I have been trying to cancel my digital subscription for months. Yet every 28th they draft another payment from my account. On February 24th I received the umpteenth email from their customer service saying that my account was inactive, yet I had another payment drafted four days later. I have had to make a fraud claim through my bank to try to get them to stop taking my money. read more

Their customer service is horrible amd their delivery people are not good at their jobs. I bought a subscription in front of a grocery store , my account was charged but for 4 weeks straight no paper or green box i paid 27.00 for. I cancelled my service and the 37.00 for one moth of papers plus box was never refunded to me i called probably 6 time and each time got the run around. Since it was located on the other side of town i was not able to go on my lunch break and eventually told the chexk had been mailed out and i would need to come up there to apply dor a lost check, no one could tell me if it had been fraudulently cashed or not.... they are rude and they are failing at their main job read more
