The City of Columbia checked the line and confirmed the issue was still on my side, meaning the line was never fully cleared. I reached out to the company several times, but they stopped responding. I haven't been able to shower or do laundry for days. Any reputable drain company offers a callback/warranty, especially when the problem returns this quickly. Instead of fixing their incomplete work, they left me with the same issue and no communication. This has been extremely stressful and unsanitary, and I've received no support or follow-up. I hope they do the right thing and correct this, but as of now I cannot recommend them.

Dan Ferguson arrived shortly and quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitator and had the unit up and running in a few minutes. We were told that the usual after-hours fee is $200 (which is reasonable under the circumstances) but since we were members of the Comfort Club, that fee would be waived. When Dan was finished, he told us that the unit was still under warranty and that there could also be no charge for parts and labor. So, after-hours, holiday weekend, quick fix, and zero charge. All good reasons to participate in the Comfort Club offered by Chapman. I have lost count (somewhere around five or six) of the number of furnaces Chapman has installed for me over the past half-century but always prompt and efficient service; house is warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
