I have been on guided trips all over the country in many different size boats and types of fishing. Troy's communication ahead of time was great, and we had several phone calls to line up all the details. As luck would have it, high winds rolled in for the days we had booked. Troy's new boat is a beast and he was able to put us on the meat 2 days in a row, despite the weather being less than cooperative. Troy is Highly knowledgeable and we had a blast even aside from near constant fish action. We will be booking again.

They told us to be there 15 minutes before our tour start time and we were there 20 minutes before, but the tour guide was 10 minutes late past the start of the tour itself. We thought we were in the wrong place and tried to get in contact with the tour agency. Got voicemail the first time and it was this random woman's number, but then called the same number a minute later and a guy told us the tour operator was on his way and then needed to pick up the supplies. It seems that they should have communicated that earlier and they should have a better system in place. The launch from the boat area was into a busy area right under the freeway and our guide basically was like hangout there and wait for me. That foreshadowed the rest of the tour for us, he basically was distant from us most of the tour, either way in front or way behind and we were a total tour of four people. There was no discussion about what we would see beyond him showing us alligators. At one point we were in the deeper section and a massive log was in the way, he went over and faced the opposite direction while the four of us struggled to get our kayaks over the log. He told us to go around and we got stuck because it was more elevated on the side and just sat on his phone the entire time while we helped each other. I get we were a group coming together, but it felt like he just told us which way to go, but didn't do any real guiding. We even helped him load and unload the supplies from the kayak. I think this tour company needs to be better organized and train their guides on what they should do to become tour guides.

This gym is set up decent, The machines are in decent shape and there are plenty for upper body,…read moreonly one for abs and a couple for legs (including the dedicated hip/thigh buster). The place is busiest before and after work of course. Around 0900 you will see plenty of personal trainers and hear old people pick up lines :-) Con- no sauna. Major con- women's head (believe men's too) is also the shower and changing room, ONE AT A TIME and they get the whole thing! Insane for a gym. That needs to changed!!! So you either wait to pee/shower in line or when you get home. Prices aren't terrible but you have to prove yourself worthy of the 24 hour key (probation) and then you're granted the privilege. You can use the membership to get you into AF's nationwide which is a very nice benny. There's no competition in the town so if you're a gym rat, this is it.

This was not your typical narrated scripted tour (yawn)…read more To say it was nothing short of amazing is an understatement. Our guide took us on a full blown adventure! Creeping through tranquil inlets & speeding down a maze of channels. We explored crawfish nets (I snatched one out of the trap for further inspection), we took a plethora of breath taking photos (now posted on Facebook), braced ourselves as we raced through dense thick floating vegetation yet sailed right through like it wasn't there (our guide "Albert" reveled in the expected surprised looks on our faces). He sped us in circles to agitate the carp just below the surface causing them to leap out of the water for our entertainment. We got a brief glimpse of a gator just before he ducked down into the water. In addition to this memorable experience the guide was extremely knowledgeable regarding to the entire ecosystem. This is a must do experience if you are a visitor to Louisiana or even a local (my fiancé booked the tour whom is a local). Have fun!!
