Ms. Emily has the biggest heart and is a complete natural at interacting with children so young. At the beginning of the session, when my daughter had just turned 2, she had a lot of trouble focusing on her teacher and following instructions - which I learned is completely okay. Over time, her ability to focus improved and she would look forward to her ballet and tap class every weekend. Her favorite part was when Ms. Emily would give a sticker or glitter at the end of class. I loved watching how happy she was in class and how much she talked about it afterwards. Sadly, due to the COVID situation, the studio has been closed for the last two months and our routine has been disrupted. We're really hopeful that the situation improves in Los Angeles and we can find a way to have the class back in a safe way. We can't wait to be back! P.S. Funny story.. I was SO excited to put my (then) 2 year old in a mommy & me ballet class that I read the class instructions very carefully... the dress code was fairly specific (a certain color leotard, tights, ballet slippers etc). So I thought the moms were supposed to dress up just like their daughters. First class ever, I showed up in full leotard and tights to dance with my girl! After that, I realized the moms come in regular clothes so I was careful to dress appropriately from then on. Just a tip for other moms enrolling in the mommy & me class!

My girls have been enrolled in Artistico for a few months now mostly doing ballet and tap...the sort of dance they primarily enjoy doing. Now they're showing interest in Hip Hop, Contemporary AND Salsa! The fact that they are willing to even try these new things tells me that it must be coming from their teachers. I think it's brilliant that kids especially can be motivated to get out of their comfort zone and try new dance moves. Heck, learning a variety of dance styles has to be better than staying glued to a devices during their down time yeah!? At any rate...I completely and wholeheartedly recommend that put on your dancing shoes (some classes ya dont even need any) and stop by Artistico School of Dance. You and or your child will learn some new things and possibly gain a friend or two to boot!

The instructors are extremely talented, kind, and do a great job managing both the young dancers and the parents. There are so many places you can enroll young girls for dance in West LA, but I think CCAB is a true ballet school; focusing on fundamentals and helping students who are really passionate about dance to grow! Michelle especially is an incredible business owner - she knows all of the students, all of the parents, manages two studios with two recitals twice a year and is extremely organized for all paperwork, billing, schedules, which we know isn't always the case for kid's activities.

I had to comfort her because she was really down, sad, and crying. The owner Stephanie literally blocked my daughter with her arm and told her that she cannot play anymore and that she had to leave. My daughter really loves Jaime's camp and Jamie the instructor. But the owner did not let my daughter play with her anymore. She said it's time for you to go! You need to leave now! Do you know what psychological damages that does to a child. And Her reasoning was: 1. because she has been in here too long and she is too young. (Yet my child is 2 years and 9 months and was approved to be there for the 3 - 6 year old camp by Jamie) the instructor) 2. Because she was too much and there are so many kids to take care of that she can't pay attention to one. If she complains about too many kids to take care of, then why even accept too many kids in the first place. The place is indoors and so small and Stephanie cannot handle stress. She literally breaks down like almost crying. I even was startled by her behavior I couldn't believe it. I was just stunned. If you are planning to leave your kid here just remember that they probably won't be watched.
