The staff at the Tanning Hut are always helpful and friendly. Unlike most employees at other businesses who do the bare minimum and just sleepwalk through their shift. All I needed was a 30 day pass in a Level 1 bed. They had the best price for that. There was another option, also in Nampa, with a similar price but they had only ONE Level 1 bed available: as opposed to the Tanning Hut's FIVE Level 1 beds. There was a brief recommendation for lotions, but no heavy-handed sales pitch. I was concerned that they do not take appointments, but I never had to wait for a bed. They don't have music in the tanning rooms so bring your earbuds. Also, they are closed on Sundays. read more

I paid fora package i didn't get to use until the last 3 tans. That's when she realized what i had. I didn't feel like the bulbs got very hot. The one that was supposed to be on my face never worked. That was one of the features i wanted. I tan quickly but didn't get whete i wanted to be after using these beds. I was supposed to start out on the hotter beds, the ones by the front door. But i had to spend 4weeks in the low pressure beds due to their mistake. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEIR SCHEDULING When I arrived they told me I wasn't on the schedul, she aked If I was sure I was in the right place i told her yes, then she said they had double booked appointments and she couldn't take me in. I just got my first spray tan in my life. I used to tan in beds until my Mom ended up with melanoma on the top of her head. I stopped tanning and I miss it so much. I'm doing a photo session next Tuesday for my husband for Valentine's Day and I want to look my best. Shannon was so nice and welcomed me warmly into her salon. I love it here! Prices are reasonable. Employees are helpful. The beds and facilities are very clean. They have a bed that works for anyone and everyone. I can see why they have won so many awards. Starting to tan at an indoor place can be a little intimidating, but the people at the Tanning Hut make the entire process as painless as possible!! It seems like the whole industry is overrun by women, and "beefcakes" from the gym, and being a male myself I was concerned I would have to deal with a certain attitude at tanning salons. but I never noticed any animosity, or judgement whatsoever from the staff!! They have been nothing but extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the entire process, and products available. My ignorance was quite vast when I started coming here, and now I look forward to every visit! They made me feel more than welcome, and answered all my stupid questions with charm, and grace. I HIGHLY recommend the Tanning Hut to anyone who has had a negative experience at a tanning salon, or has gotten attitude from the "high school know-it-all" behind a counter! Like I said before, being male I expected a certain uncomfortable feeling, but they have lots of products for guys, and are so helpful with any questions. The ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they're not open on Sunday. I totally understand that small businesses like this can't staff all the time, but Sunday is sometimes the only day that works for me. Otherwise this place is awesome!!! EDIT: after thinking about it, I had to come back to this review and give them 5 stars. They earned it, and even though they don't have hours on Sunday, they still deserve top marks! read more

I have been going to The Tanning Hut for almost 4 years now. It has ALWAYS had a friendly and kind service through the years I have been a member. I have even gotten my mother in law, some friends, plus my husband to join because of the positive things I have to say about it. It's not like the other tanning salons... It's a decent sized hut that brings comfort, great customer service, easy to get to, good prices, and great deals, and always friendly; glad to see you service. My husband is a strawberry blond red head... So you already know what that means. Lol! That white baby skin, that is extra sensitive to the sun. He never could get passed the Burn part. So I got him to sign up as a member last year cause he decided he didn't want to be the white one out of me and him cause he pretty much glowed next to my bronzed skin. 1st, 2nd, 3rd time he got his base tan... And was addicted ;) He even began going more than me. Lol! He caught up to me- So if he can do it!!? Anyone can. This is a great place to be and get that wonderful vitamin D. Just try it! These are VERY OLD beds, customer service is good. The beds are dangerous. Heavy lids and seems the bare min. is being done on the beds to keep them going. it is cheaper than most places, but then you get what you pay for. read more

What a great place ... Very good customer service , the young girls working treat you very well and the owner she's the best! Walked me through the place explained everything to me, shows that she really cares about her customers. The prices are great on the tans and they also offer a big variety of lotions and other tanning gadgets! Im giving 4 stars out of 5 because there's no standup booths there all lay down beds. I personally would prefer a standup booth. But that still won't deter me from going to the tanning hut. They have a 10 minute bed, that'll do the trick! read more
