They are lazy and entitled. My mother passed away a few months back, and had been having serious issues since fall. A month after my mother passed, my father-in-law, 87, needed emergency, open surgery and almost died, and we are still dealing with his health as of April. In addition to all of this, I had eye surgery, which I could not reschedule, and was totally blind for two weeks. During my last two office visits, no one said I had a balance and asked if I wanted to pay, otherwise I would've paid it in full. I got a message from a debt collector today, so I called the office and asked about it. They stated it was from a co-pay, which, in September, my co-pays were met. When I told them I would be happy to pay the balance, they said they would not accept it that I needed to pay the bill collector, and the lady was quite rude. When I reiterated to her everything that had happened, including the death of my parent in this time. She said "it is not my problem", which lacked any degree of empathy or Class whatsoever and was really trailer trash for her to say so. I tried to reach them between 12 and one, and the phone message says it is their lunch hour and does not take any calls. Judging by the sizes of a few of the office workers, the entire day is lunch hour. I've never had a problem with Dr. Moussa, although you will wait a few hours during your appointment to be seen, but the office staff is horrible, they have a sense of entitlement that you are bothering them and making an inconvenience for them to do their jobs. Probably not going to go back, these people sent my account to collections after only a few months, and refused to work with me when I wanted to pay the bill.

When I moved to Monroe in 2002, I called around to find an internist that could handle my asthma. I had 2 other doctor offices tell me to call Kabir. What I like best is how he works with my other specialists by keeping check on my total health. He even didn't mind when other specialist change level of medicines if they thought it was needed. I have had to go to the ER too many middle of the night because of something the kids at school shared. Every time, Kabir was called because he had listed in my hospital record that he was to be and a few times I was admitted on his call. When I get sick from the kids, I never had trouble being seen quickly. Yes, that does mean at times you do have to wait for a while, but the service of really listening to you and checking you out to diagnose the correct course of action is worth it. Just bring reading material or your cellphone, but most times the wait is under a half hour. Even though I live 45 miles away from Monroe in Southfield MI, I plan to keep him as my main doctor. GREAT doctors are hard to find, as I learned during EBS treatment and death last year. You need one doctor office to check your care to make sure different specialists don't think the others on the team is doing that so medical mistakes happen. Having Promedica records involved with his office makes sure he can do that with ease.

I get exactly what I ask for each time. Also, her rates are far better than what I had been paying for services with other lash artists in my area (who IMO use cheaply made products or don't take their time). His person who brings you back to the exam room, informed me I did not have to choose him as my primary care if i was unhappy with the wait time. He listens to you but will also talk over you if he does not agree. His office is a bit unorganized, as i had to reach out to other doctors while waiting for referrals. To my amazement, Dr. Doyle called me the day before I was to have my first visit with him and told me that he would not be able to see me, as "I had too much of a complicated medical history and had too many things presently ongoing medically, for him to be able to see me." Now, I wonder why he is a practicing physician. I thought doctors love to see patients, whether they have many medical problems or not. He did not even offer to at least see me for the next 30 days (since I can only change my PCP on the 1st of the month), and I have medications to be refilled as well. He did not want anything to do with me due to my extensive medical problems and extensive medications. I never knew a doctor only took "the easy cases"! It also would have been nice for him to at least tell me this in person, as I went through making all of these changes. I will contact my insurance carrier and tell them that they need to put in their booklet of physicians... which physicians will take someone who is ill, and which physicians will only take on "well patients" so they can just collect money and not take the time to care for them. What happened to the oath to care for a patient without predjudice?
