Very boring bland staging. But the most important thing is not following our condo rules. We were very clear about making sure to keep the garage door shut if unattended because of the neighborhood. I went down three times today and that man-door was open, propped open with bungee cords, etc. after I'd shut it three different times for safety concerns. This garage sits in the alley where vagrants hang. This company did the same thing when they set up and we warned them over and over again. Sally, This was done on Eastlake Avenue. I live in the condo building and was asked for my opinion on the staging. I was aghast. Also, I was around today when it was being done and taken down.

The staging for my latest listing was far below their usual standard--featuring rusted focal lamps, damaged faux trees with clipped leaves, and furniture that was completely out of scale. One of the most glaring examples of the lack of care was the "decor" in the main bathroom, which consisted of glass jars with Q-tips messily dumped in them for a bathroom shelf. When I reached out to the owner, Matt, to resolve these quality issues, he was highly emotional and lacked the basic ability to handle professional conflict. Instead of being solution-oriented, he refused to discuss my concerns and told me that I should simply say "thank you" and accept the staging as-is. He stated that it would cost him thousands to make corrections and explicitly said he did not care who I told about the situation. Because we could not accept the complete lack of communication and refusal to make corrections, he scheduled the staging to be removed immediately. While they did leave the home clean and in good condition upon removal, the timing put my clients and me in a terrible position in the middle of a busy spring market with a live listing. It is unfortunate that a long-standing professional relationship ended this way. I would not recommend IntExt Staging to any Realtor who expects a professional partner that stands behind their work and cares about client satisfaction.
