The owner recommended a great white wine as well as a rosé (it was a hot evening, so the chilled whites and rosés hit the spot). They were delicious. As an added bonus, the location is fantastic! It's right next to the Roman arena - very cool view while eating. As a final pleasant surprise, the bill was far less than we were expecting for the quality of the wine.
