I was referred to Taproot by a former, satisfied client. However, the person who owned the business sold it and now they can't even give you a quote. Never showed up for estimate and the office NEVER got back to me as to an update or rescheduling another time. Had an estimate scheduled for 8am this morning. They had plenty of communication leading up to the appointment with a couple reminders, but 8am came and went with zero communication and nobody showing up. I called the office and left a voicemail since nobody answered. It's been two hours since that voicemail and 2.5 hours from the original estimate time, and I haven't heard from them. I had to work my baby's nap and daycare dropoff schedule around the estimate time. Not showing up for a scheduled estimate and with zero communication is bad business and disrespectful to your potential customers. I'll be using a different company. read more

Taproot Tree Care did an awesome job on our tree removal! I'm already planning our next project and won't hesitate to reach out to them again. We wanted to remove a 30 foot pine tree located close to the side of our house and hanging over the neighbor's fence. A tricky spot without a lot of room for error. Taproot's bid was the lowest, by far the most professional (they use a great online software package for quoting, status updates, and invoicing), and they were able to do it a week before the original schedule. The day of the removal, the team showed up on time, talked to me about any concerns beforehand, and then got right to work. They worked quickly and efficiently and in just a few hours the job was done. The team cleaned up all of the debris (including on the neighbor's side of the fence), left a neat pile of chips as requested, and had a third party haul away the wood just a couple of hours later. There were some difficulties to overcome, but Danny was very responsive, and typically responded within a day. On the day of the tree removal, Kelly, Danny, and the team arrived exactly on time. The crew was friendly and professional. They were accommodating to requests, and even cut some special logs for our woodcarver friend. Only got a free inspection and quote so far but their arborists are very professional and knowledgeable. It's clear they really love trees and seem to know every little detail and are happy to explain it to you, even if at the end of it they end up telling you there's probably not work that really needs doing at the moment. I had a fairly tall tree (40-50 feet) that was dying after last summer's dry weather and called Taproot after reading their great reviews on Yelp. They were able to get out within a couple of days to provide a very reasonable quote, and then had an opening the following week to cut down the tree. Both for the quote and the service, they showed up right on time. They did a great job removing the tree and took care not to have branches and debris falling into the neighbor's yard. They chipped all the branches, and then cut the tree trunk up into smaller pieces so we could give away, although they would also have removed it for us at an additional cost. They left everything very neat, with no additional clean-up needed other than to trim some of the other bushes that had grown up around the tree. Extremely impressed and pleased with their service and will use them again if needed. read more

Provided a greater level of service than we knew we wanted Friendly, efficient, and left the yard cleaner than they found it In detail: The wisteria vine over our arbor was out of our control and had begun taking over neighboring power lines and anything else in its path. We needed someone with a ladder that was taller than our own and the tenacity to prune it back. We honestly expected someone to come at it with a chainsaw or other power tool and indiscriminately do what was promised - to prune it back and get the power lines freed. What we got was Kelly, thoughtfully pruning by hand, with an emphasis on the health of the plant and future growth strategy. (I suppose we should have taken the "tree care" part of the company name to heart). In addition, they cleaned up every bit of debris created in the pruning and hauled it away. They were in and out in 2 hours and not only are we pleased, but I am certain that our neighbors will be happy to see all adjacent lines clear from the wisteria's tentacles. Highly recommend! These guys were fantastic. We needed one 50 foot tree pulled out and the stump grinded, along with a few bushes yanked out. Danny came out to quote us and was super friendly and helpful. He gave a realistic timeframe and although his initial quote was much lower than the final price ended up, it was still competitive and the work was outstanding. First we had them take down too old fruit trees that were diseased. We were so pleased with their work that we had them back to take out two overgrown shrubs, two more diseased trees and prune a huge pine. They were quick and through and the clean-up was amazing! Taproot tree care gave us a much less expensive bid than other companies, and were very professional, and had excellent well Maintained truck and tools to complete the job. Their experience level and positive attitude was top notch. There were several extra small locust trees that they offered to remove at no extra cost. They showed up on time even when schools were closed because of snow on the roads, and had to park their truck farther than planned because of the snow, but still finished the job on the day they had originally scheduled. Taproot came out within a couple of days to give me an estimate, explained what they thought would need to be done and how the process worked (I'm new to the PNW and had no idea what was involved).
